Thank you for the excellent instructions and tips! The assembly instructions that came with the printer were less than minimal and the bags weren’t numbered. Showing all needed components in each step was very helpful, especially with the similar fasteners. Only advice I would give is to not over tighten the screws on the coupling. The aluminum coupling is easy to strip (which I did).
Thanks I am glad it helped
Thanks very much.....instructions looked a bit daunting so went straight to YT and there you were. Bags weren't labelled is my only small gripe....👍😁
thank you very much i was stuck on the step where you had to intsll the belt and i had 0 experience with printers i cant thank you enough for this build toutorial
Good luck and have fun!
@@n9jcvyellow I have one problem with the printer whenever I try to print something the filament just reversed through the tube and unloads itself do you have any idea why this could be happening?
@@timelyappolo6086 sounds to me like the wires are backwards on the motor, assuming you have not messed with the firmware. Is the machine all original and stock, or did you put on a new extruder?
If you put on a new extruder, sometimes you have to reverse direction of the motor.
If it is all original, then the factory made a mistake with the wiring on the motor.
The wires on the motor only plug in, in one direction due to the tabs. The easiest thing to do , would be to cut the small tabs off the connector, then plug the connector in backwards, this will reverse the direction of the motor.
@@n9jcvyellow yes they were found that out a bit before by looking on some reddit threads thanks a lot for your help
I received an Aquila X2 with H32 board from Amazon yesterday. Thanks for the great assembly video. The Bonus Building Tips were a great help! I was able to assemble, adjust and do the Aquila test print in one evening. Test print came out great. First upgrade will be printing out a new extruder assembly block from 3DPrintSOS. Looking forward to Alex's firmware upgrade for the H32 board. My firmware is Ver 5.1.3. Current firmware is Ver 5.1.8 from Voxelab for Aquila X2.
Dont forget check out the reddit sub VoxelabAquila. Alex just posted an update 3 days ago. He is getting close on H32. We have excellent help on the sub!
Thank you very much for this EXTREMELY enlightening build. I'm positive you just saved me from weeks of frustration getting things lined up. Already joined the Sub.
Great, my intention was to help newbies out. Good luck and have fun!
This was very helpful, thanks. There are a few places in the manual that were utterly perplexing and this got me finished in an hour or so.
I am glad it helped, that was my intention.
Just got an aquila this week and this guide was very helpful
Very nice video! Thanks a lot!
Just got my 3D Voxelab Aquila X2. Your video was a great help! You saved me tons of time and I have built all kinds of equpiment from PCs to Conveyors. Thanks!!
I am glad to help. Check out our sub on Reddit r/VoxelabAquila
Outstanding video! Thanks! Should be helpful to newbies!
Thanks my guy
Thank you very much. This was the perfect video.
Glad you liked it. This was my first real time doing something like this. I know I need to improve my video and sound.
This was helpful, I gave up on my 3d printer not being able to get pass the bed leveling. The middle seems higher than the edges, these tips might help me give it another shot. It’s a shame to just have it sitting in my closet since November.
I am sure you can get it. Bed leveling is a hard skill to master but once yoy do you will be set.
Here are a few links to help

What you want is for the bed screws to compress the springs only about 50%. If they compress the springs more then it can cause the bed to bow in the middle. So adjust the z endstop to the point needed to get the 50%.
1st layer tips. Slicer speed 20mms, clean bed with alcohol, use z offset in lcd and skirt in slicer. Adjust z offset for a squish and stick while doing the skirt.
You can do it!
@@n9jcvyellow Two sample came out fine to me, I just stopped stressing so much about the middle of the bed. I also replaced the stock springs under the best, that seemed to help. Thanks!!!
Thanks for this video! I managed to put my new Aquila X2 together based on this! I'll be working on leveling and getting my first print out over the weekend now! One thing: I've checked a few times, and I couldn't seem to find where connecting the z-limit switch wire was mentioned. I'm sure I've missed it somewhere, but I managed to figure out. My part bags where also not numbered :(
Thabk you so much, this saved me such a headache!
Glad I could help! Have fun, they are good machines
Most in-depth assembly guide it should come stock with the micro sd! my prints have been above expectation. Great video mate!
Glad you got it working well. I have 2 aquilas and after 16 months still working great
Excellent tutorial. It's almost like know you.
Great video. Just got my X2 today and with it an aluminum dual gear extruder; however, one of the fallen bolts on the stock extruder came stripped. Going to try a super glue method I found on YT hope it works.
THIS!!!!! Then when I asked them to send me a better bolt they didnt know how to repsnd and said no. Its not like Im going into Home Depot and finding it, lol.
@@Despiser25 i returned it and got a sunlu/jayo S8 plus... Same price .... Bigger print volume (310x310x400mm).... And comes 98% assembled literally 6 screws and then you can level and start printing... Its the easiest 3D printer to ever assemble... It also comes with an aluminum extruder so you don't have to add one
hi. first thank you for the wonderful video. i am having an issue with the X and Z extrusions. Basically the 17:05 part of your video. It's too tight. once i line them up and start turning the rod, the side of the rod starts moving down and the other side is just stuck where it nearly becomes jammed. Is there something i can loosen so the X fits as it should? Thanks!
My bags aren't numbered. Wth
I just got one and it keeps telling me filament not detected. I wiggle the filament and restart it. Any idea as to why it keeps doing this? I have the n32 board.
most likely a bad filament sensor. Mine worked flawlessly for months, until I tried SILK PLA, then it was giving me a false error, so I just removed it entirely. I always put enough filament on before I start a print anyway, so not really needed.
Ive already had two of them and both had numerous issues. The one I just got today the entire base of the machine is completely warped and wont sit flat on my perfectly flat table.. No matter what I loosen and tighten I cant get rid of the 2mm gap on one of the corners. On a device that requires flat this is ABSURD.
Update: Fixed the leveling issue by basically completely rebuilding the machine. The X axis stepper motor gets to 100c. They expect me to go to the mobo with a voltmeter and adjust it correctly, lol. Later when I go to put on the dual gear extruder to replace the junk stock one I find out the allen head is stripped on the factory extruder lever arm making disassembly difficult at best. Horrible tolerances on most of the extruder screws. Tech support while responsive is almost useless and repetitive. Like they cant read or see the pics you send them, lol.
While your review is well done it isnt in depth or accurate in real life. This machine is not worthy of your score, not even close. Maybe it is for a very short time when brand new but it has many issues going forward and will require a lot of upgrading.
Would be very helpful if the video wasn't sideways!!!
