I've marked the bow riser with colored electrical tape at those close ranges until I've gotten use to the distances. Just a suggestion. I've always used white behind red top of tape is the distance. I can see it nicely in my peripheral vision.
This was an awesome video. Sub 15 yds I'm going to pause & have a look at a reference point on my bow that lines up which can be super useful when the gaps get bigger. So that has enlightened me to try it, thank you Bailey 😊 I find that sub 12 yds I stop using gaps, and I actually start using my left eye to line up shaft just under the target. As at this range the Arrow is coming dead straight out of the Bow (No arc) like a blank bail shot. I guess much of it is about knowing your trajectory.
Your shot sequence is interesting. How do you aim, have you ever dealt with target panic? You're a great shot and you do it without a clicker which is impressive.
thanks, i gave a like. from watching it appears you are shooting vanes instead of feathers? and may I ask what poundage and draw you BW is? Im 5'6" and have a 27 inch draw. what i like about Black Widow i can get a bow for my draw weight. I can never really use the bows full potential because most are based on a 28 inch draw. Thanks again.
Nice work, i shoot split so gaps a mile, when i started recurve, i set a rule for myself that i wouldnt hunt til i could hold within 2 inch spread left and right all way out to my max wich i set at 20, strictly, , for a year i just shot at a piece of duct tape vertically on a target, and want to hit it every single shot, still shank one occasionally, but have it down to just 1 or 2 per practice, i do use my arrow to sight off of left and right, and what happened was by the time i got where i wanted to be left and right wich is what i feel is the hardest to get down, thru the million shots i shot, the up and down just kinda happened, no real clue how i do it, it just happens, i draw, check my alignment, wich includes all your same stuff , shoulders mostly cuzz amazing how many times i end up twisted around to make a shot in a tree, squatting to shoot under a limb, toes hanging off the platform, etc etc,i put point on, then i come straight down and just kinda feel it, stop and execute, i just use rangefinder once im in the tree to mark my max in every direction, anything inside that it just happens, maybe try 3 under 1 day but spent so much time mastering split, its hard to give it up ! Always enjoy the vids, great technique, was watching the husband behind you as well 😂, both great looking shot sequence, way prettier than mine i must say, but my arrows tune and if he gets inside 20 and i get to full draw, hes coming home with me 😎, thanks for the video, can never get enough watching a great shooter operate.
You know your guys channel is pretty good and MIA for months at a time is not helping grow your channel. It would be nice to see you upload a couple times a month at least.
Your shot looks great!! Good clean tight release. People don’t understand the work you put in on your form I commend ya!
Good idea to relate gaps to accessories on the bow.

Glad I shoot instinctive, this gave me a headache, but you are an excellent shot
