Yeah, I haven't heard people still preferring steel over ceramic generally IRL. I get the impression that steel is basically "last gen" body armor at this point... The main benefits I've heard for steel are cost and durability (and durability is really about cost as well). So, most people who can afford it will choose ceramic.
This. And tbf nothing is better having steel for most applications. The weight penalty accelerates fatigue and reduces your likelihood to perform to higher standard on demand under duress. Additionally, it limits mobility and being able to maneuver to the right position at the right time beats having armor.

I haven't yet tried this mod but I don't understand how you can tell this is realistic. I mean, the game itself has a bit of compression up to the point the gun points upwards, if I recall correctly. Operators are trained to compress, well ok, in a way, but to a very limited extent. You cannot shoot effectively with a compressed weapon and there comes a moment were you have to get your gun up or down in order to fit in the space were you want to go. Basically, unless its a pistol, you can't do much about it. About night vision, I think that the game aims to recreate the angle loss you get from looking through optics. So I'm not 100% sure how widening your field of view is realistic. I mean, it's been nearly a decade since I've put nvg's on but I don't believe they have gotten that far as to have the same angle of vision as the naked eye. 25 slots is plain absurd. By all means go for it if you prefer, who am I to tell you not to, but don't pretend it to be realistic. Gear slotting is very carefully selected by operators mainly because you can't take the whole hangar with you. In fact, I'd say the game does a pretty good effort in the amount of gear you can bring to a mission, but that's personal experience. Lastly and most importantly, how can you claim shooting to be more realistic when it's basically taking away all the recoil penalties? You can't get that cadence when shooting a real gun and expect to place your shots with such accuracy. Not to mention full auto seems like the typical fps average game... so basically super different from real life. You don't hit an elephant in a corridor when shooting a combat rifle in full auto mode unless its like 10 ft away. I'm sorry if my remarks seem harsh or toxic, it's just that I feel like it's not fair to call this mod realistic at all. Again, if you want to use it, go for it, by all means. But don't sell it as a realistic experience because it basically greatly improves your fighting skills. Which let me tell you, the game does a pretty good job in recreating, as far as I've experienced. In the game, if you get surprised and panic-empty a mag on a guy, there's a very good chance that you wont even hit him, which is pretty realistic. Or don't tell me the mod is controlling the recoil with no input other than holding the 'Fire' button. That's BS if that's the case.

Mods now work just fine. Make sure you tediously install and test every mod one at a time to see which one/ones cause an issue.
I feel like most design decisions of this game were deliberate and for a reason, bloom on the nvgs makes it so you don't have to depend on it and disrupt your vision, 13 slot on light armor makes the gear managing of your officers much more efficient and not a one man army thing and weapon recoil is rather high to avoid having people play the game like CoD. I appreciate the mod changes but some make the game WAY too easy
Yes you're right. But I don't care about that stuff haha. I want to play with my group and make it realistic. It's not realistic to be restricted from using a certain piece of gear because of a slot limit. A weight limit, sure, maybe.. but everyone keeps focusing on whether or not it's too easy, making it seem like that's the reason we choose this mod when it's absolutely not the case. We choose this mod because it adds a bit more realism that isn't currently there in the main game.
lower your resolution scaling, don’t use dlss or fsr, TSR is UE5’s native up scaling technology, i am using a 1080p monitor and I put my resolution scale to 67%, it still looks extremely close to 1080p, but i am averaging 70 to 80 fps on all high graphics on a 1070, instead of 40 to 60. my fps is anywhere from 70 to 110 depending on the map and area. it wont solve all your problems but hopefully it will help.
That's just what I heard from real life service members. If it's factually incorrect, then that's my b, but it really isn't that big of a deal. These comments are kinda getting crazy. It's not that deep lol.
@OfficialInvictus ....stop lying. There's a reason actual real life service members get issued ceramic. And it is deep, you as a creator are simultaneously an influencer, and therefore people listen to the things you say. You're give bad advice on life saving equipment. So, yeah. No. Stop.
Dude, chill. He's not an "influencer," he's a regular guy making videos about games. No one is coming to a video game RUclipsr for tactical gear purchasing advice. Yes, he was wrong, but getting butthurt and accusing him of lying, rather than just being mistaken, demonstrates more about your bad faith intentions and immaturity rather than his error. Grow up.
the thing is the game is still not startable with mods ... only in safe mode i can play the game but without mods -.- Ps. I miss all the real life attachements in the game !
That's your perspective. A lot of the gun mechanics that are changed with this mod are actually more realistic. Harder doesn't mean realistic. That's what we're trying to recreate with our gameplays. It's no longer as authentic with the main game, but it allows realism which is what I care about.

yall i need some help why is it that every mod i get, it doesnt allow me to play the game?
i get the corrupted data please verify your files, shit and i did that and it hasnt changed anything
I had to uninstall the game and I mean appdata as well... reinstall it, verify, run the game through steam where it asks what version you want to play on, check the box where it says "run mod cleanup save game" something to that effect, run it, then run the game in normal dx12. Mods now work just fine. Make sure you tediously install and test every mod one at a time to see which one/ones cause an issue.
@@thrasher2449 thank you!!!!! This worked!
@@Generalskywalker5542 very welcome
Game still feels so clunky
Why would i remove the recoil from the game. This mod makes little sense
Hi Can i use the Vortex Mod Manager? Sorry Noob Here.
some reason my game keeps crashing
Well my game still freezes and then crashes...
Please high ready mod link.
I already am having a hard time running the game, now them moving to ue5 is gonna make is so much worse.
Guess the game will not run as good as it was in UE4. Even the first patch did not help and especially in Valley of Dolls I am getting huge stutters.
I get no stutters and all smooth?
@@nyx4074 Good for you
@@nyx4074Same here. It runs better than ever for me.
lower your resolution scaling, don’t use dlss or fsr, TSR is UE5’s native up scaling technology, i am using a 1080p monitor and I put my resolution scale to 67%, it still looks extremely close to 1080p, but i am averaging 70 to 80 fps on all high graphics on a 1070, instead of 40 to 60. my fps is anywhere from 70 to 110 depending on the map and area. it wont solve all your problems but hopefully it will help.
@@rhonancort5432 I will give this a shot, thanks
Bro really just dropped the opinion that steel armor is better IRL. My guy. No.
You can’t use old mods. Unreal 4 mods aren’t compatible with Unreal 5.
@@MedicAthlete24W I know I know ! It s*cks …
This mod is unnecessary and makes things easier, so it is kind of cheating
That's your perspective. A lot of the gun mechanics that are changed with this mod are actually more realistic. Harder doesn't mean realistic. That's what we're trying to recreate with our gameplays. It's no longer as authentic with the main game, but it allows realism which is what I care about.
@@OfficialInvictus I agree with you
