Not sure how but I totally blanked on the fact we finally got simultaneous equipping of NVGs and Gas masks, and official controller support (lil step towards the console version). The console mod is the Console Unlocker mod.
Hate to say this but these devs don't have that level of ambition, I'm afraid insurgency and arma for the time being will remain the kings in that space, hell insurgency just got revived through them simply adding crossplay.
4:56 I always thought of it as the later missions D platoon takes on are given to them because of their reputation as being extremely effective and efficient. If you think of it in that way, the partnership with the coastguard is just our favourite overqualified officers finally getting the recognition they deserve.
Local swat helps many different agencies all the time. Its not hard to believe theyd help the coast guard in a weird situation, especially considering coast guard is a part of the department of homeland security just like FBI, CIA, DEA, etc.
Ends of the earth! It has such a great and realistic story with small details scattered around the whole map. It's also small and fun for a quick sweep.
Love the unfinished hotel map. Way more realistic than 5 swat officers ever boarding a yacht by themselves let alone an oil rig. We need a more ai teams option or mod, and not just for multiplayer.
14:40 the animation needs to branch off into multiple animations so its hard for players to predict. Like it can change suddenly into an attack animation.
@slavcow yes, but very limited. This is just me cuz I used to make animations. I would add a few versions where the character maybe felt the need to scratch his face, another subtle one will be him suddenly drop the gun and stood back up. Another one will be him suddenly decides not to surrender points the gun, but not shoot. Another one will be him quickly surrender but pull out a pistol immediately. Another one would be laying flat on the ground with weapon still in his hands (Officers in real life had to step on the gun and kick it away)
Favorite Map for me is Valley of the Dolls. One of the first maps I’ve played and have done it so much to get the Hawaiian shirt I know the map like my backyard. Very cutthroat map design (especially the basement) and Satisfying ending to the Voll storyline by taking them down in their front doorstep. Good job on VOID
My favorite map is Neon Tomb, as it's a harrowing take on what we all know to be their version of the Pulse tragedy. I lived near Orlando during that time and was on shift during that with an adjacent agency, and it was an eye opening experience to say the least.
Properly hyped for this update, especially the new hotel map. Narcos combined with Twisted Nerve sounds like a dream come true. I guess my favourite vanilla map would be the Mindjot server farm. Good music, good layout.
I forgot the name but the final port map for the base game was my favorite. Not only does it combine open areas with strategically placed choke points, it also combines the normalcy of just apprehending suspects with the underlying creepiness of halting a human trafficking ring. I'll never forget opening the cargo container and seeing all those frightened women in there, or going towards the back of the map and seeing the sort of online auction they had going on. Gives me chills just thinking about it
I'm gonna sound like a fudd here but the m14 is by far my favorite weapon it has the sounds, power, animations, and the familiarity to me. Love the one shot and I remember when I shot a suspect and said, "damn! That punch an big hole in him!" Thus cementing my love for it.
My favorite map has to be "23 megabytes a second", it was my first S rank and the streamer's chat reacting to the swating after a short delay was so cool for me. The layout is great and it's overall a great map!
I enjoyed the oil rig the most of there, and the first time I loaded into the old hotel, I though "man this would be a nightmare to actually have to clear" I really liked the new DLC, and I'm interested to see how they might expand on the air support in the future
its a great update, love the new nvg design and the white phosphorus option favorite map has to be either neon tomb or rust belt, the atmosphere on both is unparalleledlove tl
Solid review sir I hope more quality of life improvements continue for RoN And the map Elephant is hands down my fav. The intensity and initial shock factor reeled its way as my favorite map
Great vid man... nice summary of all the new content etc. The new DLC is a banger, (there are some glitches and I crashed a few times but non the less its really cool). I'd have to say my fav map is Ends of the Earth, the lore about it is just sad... but the new maps also look sick (especially the hotel and leviathan (haven't played them yet))
Greased Palms is kinda a fun map, has been my go-to when playing with the zombie mod. Also kinda glad that I'm not the only one that's bothered by the new hesitation animation lmao.
Favorite map has to be relapse. Having to pay attention to which of the hospital staff is armed is a nice twist when every other mission was clear on who was a bad guy
man, honestly, i am so happy to see the changes to the game, they cooked up with this dlc, and honestly id have to say, that the yacht might be my fav out of the bunch. Might be bc it was the mission i first saw all the improvements to the AI and stuff, but like still, its so good
I love the M14 look too, but ive never loved the rifle. Always wanted to get my hands on a BM51 somehow (italians upgraded the garand to basically outwardly identical but better m14. Before the m14 even existed.)
right now my favorite map is Cherryessa Farm. I love the ethestics of the map and really gives me midsommar vibes and that is also one of my favorite movies. :)
As someone who used to main the g3a3 in insurgency ss in pvp I was genuinely surprised by the recoil Like i did just kept trying to do some sort of speedrun in ides of march map As i used it sometimes without in any attachments in that game for points (like smoke for team to push forward) I genuinely love this game, idk how i will get friends to try it out though with it non sharable eith steam family share
"Wake up! SixtyAteWhiskey dropped a new video!" My favorite map to play with friends is Hide and Seek. The night time and the rain, combined with NODs and IR lasers lead to some cool interactions/fire fights.
One thing worth noting is that while using the flight suit, your legs don't really align with your boots. This can be seen more clearly when going into free lean. Really good overview though, appreciate it!
The Spider is my favorite map in the game. It is one the few missions where the person of interest can and will try to end himself if you are not quick enough to stop his action.
my favorite map is probably the first gas station one, because its a relatively small map, which makes it perfect for decking suspects with all sorts of guns that you want. just a fun map with a lot of replay-ability.
Awesome video! Funnily enough, all three maps have ties of some nature to the ARG, to the point that I would call this the ARG DLC The Yacht is owned by a Qatari politician, and one of the personalities mentioned in the ARG is the founder of Qatar The Oil Rig is named Leviathan, and Leviathan is basically among the most referenced elements of the ARG And Elysium is literally an MLO headquarters, with MLO people here and there
My favorite map has gotta be Thank You, Come Again because its the first map i played after purchasing the game and i came to realize just how scary and fun this game is. My pants were probably full of brown that day because of all the times i randomly got a hole put in my head with a very loud sound
My favorite map would have to be Sins Of The Father. The vibes and atmosphere are top notch for me. Feels like im in a John Wick movie. But otherwise, great video. This DLC looks promising.
Nice video. You forgot to mention gamepad support. I was so pleasantly surprised by it. I didnt expect that at all. It works great. Dualsense even uses lights, when switching teams and adaptive triggers are also nicely used. Only haptic feedback is missing. Its my favourite part of this update together with name tags. They are making huge leaps forward with these latest updates. I must say 1.0 was let down for me and i was skeptical for some time, but im optimistic again. One or two updates of this scale and it will be masterpiece. Fingers crossed for haptic feedback, FSR 3.1 and working mirrors. Cheers
Logged in and immediately equipped my white phosphorus NVG's. Pressing N caused them to strobe between white and green colors in a desperate attempt to give me a seizure. Logged off and saved 10 dollars.
Favourite map has got to be relapse tbh, not only is it awfully graphic but it also has such a great variety of areas dark radiography, exposed sky bridge, complicated wards that loop back on themselves. It really forces the player to use all their knowledge and strategy whilst never feeling wholly impossible or unfair (although the AI overextending themselves and getting smoked through the convoluted sight line you’ll ever see makes me insane lol)
I also forgot to mention finally being able to run NODs and either gas masks or anti-flash goggles. Hopefully, with that addition, we can look forward to being able to run white light and IR at the same time. Great video, as always, boss man.
I just want the PEQ and MAWL to have both IR (laser and illuminator) and visible laser capability. It’s kind of silly that they don’t have that function in game.
I been enjoying the new update with my buddies too! Agreed on the hesitation animation, suspect literally point their gun right at you while dropping it 💀. My favorite map is Twisted Nerve/the meth house. Very eerie atmosphere and the challenge of PID between civs and suspects makes it fun.
(I have to be honest here in that I haven't actually played all the maps since before the 1.0 release...) Rust Belt / the Border Reserve is probably one of my favorites. Did it with a friend and it took us far too long to complete because it'd always come down to one of us left right towards the end, and then one of the few coyotes left would pop up and dome whoever was left standing. Really nice to see a new MP5 in the game, can't ever have enough :) I'll have to buy it and see if I can get some friends to play it again. Any tips for motion sickness? I've got a friend that can only play for a few minutes before collapsing.
Favorate map is the Mansion from the first DLC Home invasion. But if you disconsider that. From the original ones. I Like Hospital and Rust. I like having Unknowns in gamaplay. The Suspects hiding and Using Civilians Clothes. Getting friends together playing the big maps is always fun for me
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! A 3D LV119, Finally... This makes me Cry, spiritus finally has a 3d representation other than the common stuff like avs, FirstSpear and etc
I think it's less that the M14 doesn't perform well and more that we've had our perception skewed by cheaper, lower quality reproductions. It was barely a half-step forward in rifle design, but it wasn't a bad rifle on its own.
I think my favourite part of the update was the addition of complete native controller support (x-input and d-input without needing steams own input and showing icons for both xbox and PS) I was able to stream the game to my tablet in bed and use a dualsense controller. Was extremely cozy. The aim assist feels broken. Like it doesn't work but when it does it feels like an old GTA game style lock on. But overall I'm happy I can play the game without being at my desk now. Also makes me wonder if they're starting to make moves to get onto consoles earlier than expected. They also didn't mention the addition of controller support which is interesting.
I'd say my favorite map is port. Mainly because of the night time setting, abundance of suspects, and the large map. Also, I wouldn't mind having DLC 2 by the way..
I know exactly what u mean about the taser in RON , for me the taser animation is one thing i was always excited for and every update it never gets updated it makes the game feel still unfinished to me until they do that. They even teased it once just for it to not come out
The Ruby Ridge map is great, but it's a shame that there can't be more variety to maps. Are they ever bringing back multiple modes so that maps can feel significantly different?
Not sure how but I totally blanked on the fact we finally got simultaneous equipping of NVGs and Gas masks, and official controller support (lil step towards the console version).
The console mod is the Console Unlocker mod.
Controller has been great ! Been using it almost exclusively atp. Only gripe is no chem light button smh
Heck yeah, now I can complete the SCP look without the jank
Hate to say this but these devs don't have that level of ambition, I'm afraid insurgency and arma for the time being will remain the kings in that space, hell insurgency just got revived through them simply adding crossplay.
Finally, Metal Gear Solid: 5 DLC for Ready or Not.
First steps on that oil Rig I had heavy Flashbacks
More of an MGS 2 deal ;)
FIDDLES
Ayy that was my thought too@@AttacMage
Gonna miss the "Put'em on Save, Let them Hang" of the old TOC
That was my favorite voice line of his. I bet there is a way to add back only that line since I have it saved.
I feel like they should randomize or have one TOC voice for one map and another voice for another map
real
The new TOC still does! I got the voice line today.
4:56 I always thought of it as the later missions D platoon takes on are given to them because of their reputation as being extremely effective and efficient.
If you think of it in that way, the partnership with the coastguard is just our favourite overqualified officers finally getting the recognition they deserve.
Judge is also an experimental super soldier, an Oil Rig is a pretty good test.
Local swat helps many different agencies all the time. Its not hard to believe theyd help the coast guard in a weird situation, especially considering coast guard is a part of the department of homeland security just like FBI, CIA, DEA, etc.
I always thought it was because the Department was underfunded and understaffed but given the whole USIA lore i guess theyre testing Judge
@@davidponder1654
The Hokan Port mission revealed other agencies involvement
@@davidponder1654 yeah someone has to apprehend the criminals that the department creates. LAPD made crack and distributed it. Let’s go
Getting your wife to read that Scar bit was gold.
Edit: Also, my favorite map is the streamer condos, simple and fun, but can be quite challenging.
TOC sounded like he's a lot more serious now, kinda liked it.
Isn't this TOC the same that tells us to close the container where the poor women were in? He sounds very similar
@@dinko4711 I think that was the FISA TOC
The best map has to be „Twisted Nerve“. Little to no light, tons of cqb with deranged/aggressive suspects… Hell yeah!
Ends of the earth! It has such a great and realistic story with small details scattered around the whole map. It's also small and fun for a quick sweep.
My favourite map would be Rust Belt. I am a huge Sicario/Cartel Movie fan, and that map is just so perfect to reenact these feelings.
Rust belt is fun, I want another similar map that’s mostly above ground though.
"whats does that even mean" ahahahha. Great review, loved it
The HK51 is clearly the best gun. If you aren’t deafening yourself, your squad mates and the enemy, are you really doing it right?
Love the unfinished hotel map. Way more realistic than 5 swat officers ever boarding a yacht by themselves let alone an oil rig. We need a more ai teams option or mod, and not just for multiplayer.
What? The hotel is bigger thwn the yacht and its realistic??
14:40 the animation needs to branch off into multiple animations so its hard for players to predict. Like it can change suddenly into an attack animation.
It already does that, doesn't it?
@slavcow yes, but very limited. This is just me cuz I used to make animations. Another one would be laying flat on the ground with weapon still in his hands (Officers in real life had to step on the gun and kick it away)
it’s felt like a bit since a video, looking forward too it!
with the intro of battle rifles the update is really the, ouch my shoulder! update.
Wake up, VOID just gave us an early Christmas present.

I guess my favourite vanilla map would be the Mindjot server farm. Good music, good layout.
I really Love you're vids and you're calm trusty voice, keep up the good vids man !
i hope someone at void watches this! these are great suggestions
Favorite map has to be the gas station, just a small fun map to run
The one and only Ready or Not youtuber worth watching, in my opinion. Always wait for your opinion on DLCs and updates.
Civilian use only?
Shayne please shut up?
Come on, now
Favorite map has to be sins of the father, i love the CQC of a hotel. The hectic action of clearing room after room with SMGs
my favorite map has to be the doll house map. the design, characters, and story is amazing. love your videos!
My favorite map is probably the elephant or a lethal obsession. Just really cool level design and fun to play overall.
I forgot the name but the final port map for the base game was my favorite. Not only does it combine open areas with strategically placed choke points, it also combines the normalcy of just apprehending suspects with the underlying creepiness of halting a human trafficking ring. Great video and feedback, Whiskey.
My favorite map is Sins of the Father.

Amazing video man! I personally enjoy Valley of the Dolls.
Favorite Map, puh... somtimes I just see me doing gas station solo with only pistol and no armor, that's Fun!
My favorite map has to be "23 megabytes a second", it was my first S rank and the streamer's chat reacting to the swating after a short delay was so cool for me. The layout is great and it's overall a great map!

My favorite map has got to be Neon Tomb, The vibes that it gives out are simply unmatched.
Fairfax. So much passion added to the map by modders
I always come to you for my favorite Ready or Not takes. My current favorite map is The Spider.
Greased Palms is kinda a fun map, has been my go-to when playing with the zombie mod. Also kinda glad that I'm not the only one that's bothered by the new hesitation animation lmao.
Just the video I was looking for: Some context of the new theme and gear added by this DLC.
Might be bc it was the mission i first saw all the improvements to the AI and stuff, but like still, its so good
valley of the dolls, first time I ever got that sinking feeling in my stomach. And was once again reminded that this game mimics real life.
Great review. I especially agree with the hesitation rifle animation. I get UUF way too many times because of it..

Id say my favourite map is actually the first one, the 4U gas station. Just so nostalgic as the first few minutes when I bought this game a year back
"Wake up! SixtyAteWhiskey dropped a new video!" My favorite map to play with friends is Hide and Seek. The night time and the rain, combined with NODs and IR lasers lead to some cool interactions/fire fights.
Another great video Whiskey! My favorite map is Valley of the Dolls

I subscribed, and my favourite map is the Gas Station!
The Spider is my favorite map in the game. It is one the few missions where the person of interest can and will try to end himself if you are not quick enough to stop his action.
My favorite map is the hospital map because of the variety between the floors and the ROE based on the scenario :)
my favorite map is probably the first gas station one, because its a relatively small map, which makes it perfect for decking suspects with all sorts of guns that you want. just a fun map with a lot of replay-ability.
man, i love Twisted Nerve it is a very fun scenario to play as a swat!
Awesome video!
Funnily enough, all three maps have ties of some nature to the ARG, to the point that I would call this the ARG DLC
The Yacht is owned by a Qatari politician, and one of the personalities mentioned in the ARG is the founder of Qatar
The Oil Rig is named Leviathan, and Leviathan is basically among the most referenced elements of the ARG

Ideals of March, love the traps
$10 for 3 maps isn’t a bad deal at all honestly. That’s $3.33/map, for something that the devs collectively put hundreds of hours into.
Logged in and immediately equipped my white phosphorus NVG's. Pressing N caused them to strobe between white and green colors in a desperate attempt to give me a seizure. Logged off and saved 10 dollars.
Favorite map is probably neon tomb because it's a night club shootout
Clementine hotel! The neo noir feeling it gives me just does it for me
Favourite map has got to be relapse tbh, not only is it awfully graphic but it also has such a great variety of areas dark radiography, exposed sky bridge, complicated wards that loop back on themselves. Coast Guard sponsored Battle Rifles 😋

The rig map has to be my favorite.
i think all of those maps are my favorite but i liked the boat and the hostel the most
Great video, thanks for the overview
No update had this game this alive apart from the 1.0 but still live changing updates
My favorite map is Neon Tomb, it's so disturbing yet fun to clear
Personally, My favorite is the Abandoned Resort. It looks straight out of an zombie apocalypse
I just wish we had gotten the full 22” barrel M14. They gave us the Aimpoint so clearly they had the Black Hawk Down movie in mind.
It's probably really easy to mod in, just give it a week or two
Favorate map is the Mansion from the first DLC Home invasion.
But if you disconsider that.
From the original ones.
I Like Hospital and Rust.
I like having Unknowns in gamaplay. The Suspects hiding and Using Civilians Clothes.
Getting friends together playing the big maps is always fun for me
My favorite map is "Thank you, come again"
The Spider is my favourite map, aint nothing like shooting Pdf-files
My favourite map's got to be "Buy cheap, buy twice", solely because of the soundtrack that plays there being my fav
Carriers of the Vine is an interesting map. More because of the lore than the actual design of the map.
6:20 that's my exact headset, I'm gonna need to go back and look for that.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! A 3D LV119, Finally... This makes me Cry, spiritus finally has a 3d representation other than the common stuff like avs, FirstSpear and etc
My favorite map is "Sins of the father". A hotel with a bunch of rogue Secret Service agents
I think it's less that the M14 doesn't perform well and more that we've had our perception skewed by cheaper, lower quality reproductions. It was barely a half-step forward in rifle design, but it wasn't a bad rifle on its own.
Let’s go pantheon armor set
Best map gotta be ends of earth, its one of the only maps where you truly feel sorry for the suspects
That animation error where you return to the barrel currently extends to ALL foregrips. I spent way too long testing them on release night.
My favourite map/mission so far has got to be. ends of the earth
I think my favourite part of the update was the addition of complete native controller support (x-input and d-input without needing steams own input and showing icons for both xbox and PS)
I was able to stream the game to my tablet in bed and use a dualsense controller.
Also, I wouldn't mind having DLC 2 by the way..
the quality of life fixes in this update are really good and my favorite map is relapse
I know exactly what u mean about the taser in RON , for me the taser animation is one thing i was always excited for and every update it never gets updated it makes the game feel still unfinished to me until they do that. They even teased it once just for it to not come out
my favourite map currently is leviathan, i just love the oil rig
my favourite map is Neon Tomb the colours are just great
Great video! my favorite map is Car Dealership
The Ruby Ridge map is great, but it's a shame that there can't be more variety to maps. Are they ever bringing back multiple modes so that maps can feel significantly different?
