How to Invite Cross-Faction Alts to Your Personal Guild 💖

- Here is how you invite opposite faction characters into your Horde or Alliance personal guild! We have a few more hoops to jump through now, but once you have it setup, it's not too bad.

You are an absolute star - the text guides all leave out the important information that you need to have a guild recruitment posting up, and that is what you are trying to share the link for. Many thanks xx
One thing I did was just make the community and try to join it on my alts, but a key step I missed was that when you search for a community you have to check the box to include cross-faction communities in the search results. I didn't actually need to do any web browser stuff or make join codes. As long as the community settings have the cross faction option checked, your alts can search for it.
I inherited a guild with permission to make it my personal one and was very confused on the cross faction guild thing- thank you, your tutorial was a great help!
Thank you very much for your guide, it has been incredibly helpful for inviting my tauren hunter to my Alliance guild. Just one small detail: in the Guild Recruitment window, the option "List My Guild in Guild Finder" must be checked even if it doesn't work for opposite faction characters (it was checked in the video, but not in my guild settings), otherwise the "Link Post in Chat" button does not appear when you click "Invite Member" in the opened window and you cannot add the clickable guild invitation to the guild chat. I was confused by that for a time before I tried this option, but it finally worked. :)

I, foolishly, thought maybe an addon I had installed had removed the link button.
This was driving me nuts, I thought I wasn't hitting the right sequence or something. Thanks a bunch!
You can't create new links NOR USE EXISTING LINKS if this is turned off. Thanks indeed. I could not apply using my link because recruitment was not listed.
Fantastic workaround. I was stoked for cross-faction guilds but they do feel quite limited in certain crucial ways.
I keep coming back to this video every time I make a new alt. Blizz needs to make this process more straightforward, but for now... thanks again for the video!

Thank you. I got a battlenet friend in my guild temporarily so she could invite my own characters in my guild before returning to hers. I had not realised I could link an invite in a community. If I need to do it again, I now have an alternative tyvm.

This was so helpful, I was so confused on how to do this with my alts because I couldn't invite them through guild invite member search. This worked like a charm.
I was so excited for this feature, but Blizzard made it so dumb and convoluted to do. I'm not sure how you figured this out, but your a star for doing so. I never would have had to patience to figure this out.

Also extremely happy you can basically transfer gold between factions on the same realm using personal guilds. Was always annoying having like 10k sitting on horde when close to a token XD

Thank you so much for this. I was trying to figure this out for myself and using the guild link is what I was missing. However, I did figure out you can find your cross-faction community in the community finder. When searching for the community using the character you want to invite you have to go to the filter options and select cross-faction. It will pop up. Probably no easier or faster than using a link but I figured I'd share anyway.
