One of the best CDs released in the 90s! When grunge took over, some of the best "hair metal" flew under the radar. If you have this cd, count yourself blessed. If you don't, GET IT!
I seen slaughter in concert back in 89", with kiss hot in the shade tour. 2nd row. got alot of good pictures. still cant believe tims gone. It was a total shock. Still love slaughter. Wish all the best to the guys and tims family....

i remember Metal Edge doing a full color article about this being taped at a club in Vegas where these guys lived. I was so jealous. My friend did a public access video show in Portland, Oregon, and wrote CMC Records to get a copy of the video. A few months later a VHS tape and a bunch of promo stuff showed up in his mail. We were so excited. Stickers, cd's and promo singles. He did a contest on his show and got a ton of submissions form people who watched his show. It was pretty awesome to see that in 1995/96 people still cared enough about Slaughter to write a public access show.
I was in the navy around 1995. I had lost track of slaughter so to speak. Then friend Navarro said hey check this slaughter album out. Back on track ! Rockin !
Love n Live for wut ever band, music, wut ever u love, jus love the music.......I happen to love Rock n Roll, long hair, and awsome tunes...I listen to everything from steppenwolf to justin B.(lol) but the 80's will always have my heart... Rock on... Peace~~~
This is the best that he ever sounded. I remember finding Fear No Evil in the "cheap bin." It was a blessing. I was living in Canada and all CMC International titles were $25+. (Hard on my limited college funds.) I love this CD. I thought it was their best music and he had never sounded better. Then they released revolution and I was extremely disappointed.
Fear No Evil is my fave of theirs. I wasn't feeling Revolution either, aside from "Heaven it Cries". I've yet to hear Back to Reality or Mark's solo stuff.
Fear No Evil was the best CD by Slaughter in my opinion. It's really too bad it didn't get more publicity since it was released at a time when grunge was so popular.
I always wondered why Mark Slaughter always seemed to sound a lot like Axel rose, but than he changed is vocal style for this song....... sounds like Foreigner
For some reason the drums in this version of the song sound more punchy than the ones on the album and any other version of this song on youtube, is anyone able to explain this?
I like when Mark just sings with his lower toned voice. I'm so used to his higher-register notes, I didn't know it was him singing until I saw the video! I thought, whoever sings this has a great voice. LOL I know Mark had throat issues for a while, as did a lot of other singers from that time period. I'm pretty sure Tom Keifer had blown his vocal cords out from singing with that gritty-throaty voice all those year, so did David Covergirl. I'm a huge Slaughter fan and fell in love with Mark back when he was in VVI with that nut-ass Vinnie Vincent! That guy has some serious issues. Sometimes I think Mark over did his high voice. In "Fly to the Angels" it was great until he hit that really high note...that kind of killed it a little for me.. But I digress, Mark probably had to work hard to keep himself and his voice healthy, and that's what makes him the professional that he is. I'm from Philly so I have to bring up Timmy, whose also a Philly boy, and how DEVASTATED I was when he died. He was such a good, down to earth sweetie. I see him in the videos and it makes me smile, and cry. The World is a little sadder without him, as am I.
yeah it sounds great in his lower voice right! i first thought blas sang this ahaha but it sounds great! but i love marks voice in what form whatsoever ahaha
This is an odd observation, but I wonder if Kelly Clarkson ever listened to Slaughter. I can totally hear her covering this tune. Vocal styles are similar.
wow - way out of step for 1994 - they had only been a band for a couple of years when grunge hit - you think - only having one album out by then (91 or so) - they could have updated things a little bit - a lot easier than say - Poison - who had been really typecast as a hair metal band for several years at that point - I was amazed that - en masse - most of those bands didn't even try to translate their sound - or at least a chunkier mix..
But the rest of these songs on that album don't go along with your statement or this one..a.nodule on Mark's vocal chord had to go via surgery. A lot of people in rock had the same thing, so we weren't worried abut him recovering, but it takes time. Six months later, his voice not only came back, it came back stronger!" But he might have used it to his advantage to get a different sound. Like they want to record when they first wake up sometimes for that raspy sound. ✌️
I saw Slaughter in concert twice. I even got to meet them. It was cool.
I like the different vocal style Mark used on this song. Excellent tune! Wish they would play it live!
This guitar riff ROCKS!!! R.I.P TIM KELLY!!! I LOVE THIS SONG
I love it! Too bad these days are gone. Good music, costumes, and choreography.
One of the best CDs released in the 90s! When grunge took over, some of the best "hair metal" flew under the radar. If you have this cd, count yourself blessed. If you don't, GET IT!
I totally agree! A must have if you love Hair metal
I seen slaughter in concert back in 89", with kiss hot in the shade tour. 2nd row. got alot of good pictures. still cant believe tims gone. It was a total shock. Still love slaughter. Wish all the best to the guys and tims family....
His vocals should have been like this for a lotta songs. Great band regardless. 👏
Totally agree, like a hybrid between Cinderella and Foreigner. Killer!
Awesome band!!!
Best Slaughter song EVER
Most underrated one anyway
BAD ASS SONG!! Gorgeous Mark and the Boys are so fucking talented!! I still crank it up on my radio when I'm cruising in my BMW! We need to bring back the Big Arena Concerts and start supporting Slaughter and all the amazing bands that still kick Ass!! Anybody with me?

+soozkatt that would be hella badass, and hey, that's style at its finest man! kick it how you want because this song deserves that kind of attention!

LOVE IT!
I like when Mark just sings with his lower toned voice. I'm so used to his higher-register notes, I didn't know it was him singing until I saw the video!

I'm from Philly so I have to bring up Timmy, whose also a Philly boy, and how DEVASTATED I was when he died. He was such a good, down to earth sweetie. I see him in the videos and it makes me smile, and cry. The World is a little sadder without him, as am I.
yeah it sounds great in his lower voice right! i first thought blas sang this ahaha but it sounds great! but i love marks voice in what form whatsoever ahaha
miss Tim
Sooooo fuckin' groovy!!!!!!!
A cool video.
今どこも聴けないから
嬉しい。
slaughter kinda reminds me of the band damn yankees
HAIR METAL IS THE BEST!!!
People don’t know REAL MUSIC
Always has been the best! Always will be the best
was this tims last video ?
This is an odd observation, but I wonder if Kelly Clarkson ever listened to Slaughter. I can totally hear her covering this tune. Vocal styles are similar.
Is this Ann Coulter in this Video ?
even Rush had a halfway passible grungish song at the time (Stick It Out) -
any clue where i can get the lyrics?
what year was this album
gravebull bought this in 95
wow - way out of step for 1994 - they had only been a band for a couple of years when grunge hit - you think - only having one album out by then (91 or so) - they could have updated things a little bit - a lot easier than say - Poison - who had been really typecast as a hair metal band for several years at that point - I was amazed that - en masse - most of those bands didn't even try to translate their sound - or at least a chunkier mix..
they stuck to what they were good at. I respect them for doing so as many band caved in to the take over of grunge.
Why can't we have the 90ies again? I don't want 2024 - take me back please!
Fuckin love this one!
Check out my cover of Slaughter - Days Gone By
My was Tim something else
the year we lost tim was 1998
better than the falsetto voice, without the vid i would have thought that Dana Strum did the vocals
I'm with ya sister
Dayum, I love that! That has to be one of the hawtest videos I've ever seen!
He was forced to sing different due to vocal nodes. He is suffering from them worse than ever now.... he only has one octave right now, poor guy!
if i had a dollar for every pixel in this video i would have 10 dollars
GOTT MITT UNS !!!
HAIRBANDS NEVER DIE !
Damn right they don’t as LEGENDS NEVER DIE
Its because he had a nodule on his vocal chords that had to be surgically removed during the making of this album.
But the rest of these songs on that album don't go along with your statement or this one..a.nodule on Mark's vocal chord had to go via surgery. A lot of people in rock had the same thing, so we weren't worried abut him recovering, but it takes time. Six months later, his voice not only came back, it came back stronger!"
