I think it looks great. They added the power reserve indicator because this piece is not exactly a remake, but a modern take on an old model. If you don't like this one, Seiko is releasing 3 anniversary models in June, with spectacular dials.

Took a look at one of these recently. I agree, the power reserve indicator is a big mistake. Also couldn't handle the bulbous thickness of it.
