Congrats. I have owned a 2005 since 2008 and love it. Have 22k on it now and have had no problems with it. Just got back from Sturgis driving 1300 miles in 3 days. No problems and great on twisty roads in Black Hills. Rare bike - didn't see another among the 100k plus bikes there. Only negative I've found is resale value. ST1300 fit a very narrow niche. But if you love it you'll own it a good long while so who cares. Ticket machine machine too and I'm age 52.
Yours is a beauty! I'm currently looking at a one-owner, as-new, ruby red 2009 with 49,750kms. My last big bike was a Gold Wing GL1100 Interstate in '91. I stopped riding between '94 and 2014, am currently on a PCX150 so I'm a little apprehensive about swinging a leg over the ST, but I'm sure I'll get back into it. My riding style is now more laid back so I'll probably love the ST, although I did find it a little top heavy in the showroom.
Congratulations. They are a fantastic ride. I almost feel like the boyscout of the group - anyone needs anything they look at me, first aid kit, tyre repair foam, visor clean, charge yer call phone, gps, ballpoint pen, etc etc. :-) Have fun
@@dewwed1965 Excellent ! I have a 5th gen (1999) VFR800 with nearly 80,000 miles on the clock. It also still runs beautifully. You've got to love Honda and those V4 engines for stunning reliability. I've considered selling the old girl and getting a Pan European St1300 so many times but I just cant bring myself to let her go :) Thanks for replying btw.
@@MrBoybergs Hey again, yeah I've always liked the VFRs. Unlike most I always liked the 2010 model, and still would like to have one. I was undecided between the FJR or the ST, but coming off a '86 V45 Magna I just had to have a V4. Just something about that V4!
@@dewwed1965 I once had a 750 Shadow but I know nothing about the Magna so I did a Google search. MCN have what appears to be a minter with under 10k miles on the clock for £3,500. I'll confess I'm not a fan of cruisers but if I were to get another (which I wont), that would be it......because - V4 :)
The lower trim kit will help reduce the engine heat a lot. There is an upper trim kit, also. Somewhat expensive but the lower will make your ride more enjoyable. Had an 05 and still love it but got to an age that I was afraid of the power and weight. Loved the SMOOTH power-to-weight!! Owned mine for 13 years.
Yes I do still like it. Been to 18 different states on it now, nearly 52K miles and we're just getting started. I do use it as my everyday bike but it might be a little big and heavy (740 pounds) for some as a around town bike, but works fine for me. Thanks for watching!

Just picked one of these up last July. You will love it! I am already at almost 7K miles on mine. Won't be long for you either!
Enjoy it my friend. I have one 3 years now and still love it.
Hey Thanks! Had mostly crappy weather here since I bought it and I'm close to 900 miles!
I do love it! So much fun to ride!

So kewl, have you stopped smiling yet?

0.4 is the distance from the dealer to the store I rode it to.
Yes it is! Thank You!
Nice! I'm thinking of getting one also. What pipes are you thinking of getting?
Thank You! No plans on different pipes yet.
Thank You! Will do!
Thank You!
Nice bike man!
Thank You Very Much!

It's been around the block once or twice........
Sorry to the bearer of bad new buddy but that's 0.4 miles unfortunately lol
Now, now "bearer of bad new" don't be jealous. 0.0 miles LOL
Woow

New and you get it on 8000 rpm? Noob
Well my bike has over 51K on it now and still runs as good as day one, I think she'll be fine. LOL
I was going to ask, still like it? Do you use it for a commuter bike? I need a city bike...

For new ST1300 and 8000 RPM is not good. I have exactly the same bike and I know what I'm talking about. Ride Safe and don't abuse your bike.
a lot of noise
Yeah I'll give it to ya not the best sounding bike on camera, but damn I love to hear it in person!
The camera picks up the high frequency fuel injector noise.
knokcs I was thinking the same thing. I love the look of it.
today 2000$ used LMAO
Lol Not this one, she's mine. Keep looking for yours
@@dewwed1965 how many km you have today on your St1300?
