Looks like me as I was getting back into riding again and took the course to ride those same manoeuvers. I rode a Harley for the course and like it's low centre of gravity but that was about it. Love my new ST. It was nice of the instructor to give the Canadian credit, my home. Love to see more riders go through this type of training and hope it becomes more widely available.
As a retired RCMP Motor Officer and Instructor and a former NAMOA Member, I can assure you that the skill levels required are at least as tough as the video shows. There is a good reason there as so few who actually make the grade. .
An ST without bags is like a Harley without chrome.
love the Honda ST1300, awesome bike, looks and sounds great too.
some of those guys are pretty darned good. Tough course with those bikes.

Hi all, what do i type in to search for videos which teach me to do this stuff ?
It's a simulation of going around traffic... if there are cars in the way, you have to get around them at slow speeds, as fast as possible and without damaging anything.
Slow speed control is very valuable to a motorcycle rider.
A police man on a motorcycle can filter through traffic a lot faster than a car.
Does anyone know if they are using Throttle Tamers on thier bikes? How is the EFI not so herky jerky like the stock ST's?
i have a 08 one, with abs on it , like the red one on the flim but i see he dont have any boxes on his , you must learn to ride the bike at very slow speed ,and keep your feet up" try sharp turns at 3 to 5 mph, to get the hang of any bike , anybody can speed along , but at 3 to 5 mph figures of 8 ,will tell you how good you are ,
Does the criminal get-a-way course follow this training session or is it on the job training?
It's muscle memory clutch n brake. You keep the lock at about 1600-1800 rpms then it's left hand and right foot. Ez money watch...... hold my Beer!

Putting your foot down while your bike in motion will more than likely end in serious injury...that's why.

The ST1300 is a big bike, but stocked up with a wonderfully smooth and powerful engine and is highly maneuverable. I rode a BMW K1100LT for a couple of years for daily commuting in fairly dense traffic (and just 'fundriving') and now ride a ST1300 for the same purposes. I prefer the ST over the LT and also over the BMW R (which I also rode) in almost every aspect except protection of the elements (±unimportant) and high speed stability (high speed meaning >180 km/h = >112 m/h). Queries? Just ask
I own a 2003 ST and really LOVE riding on her. It is almost the perfect bike but the lack of stability is the only serious problem l've found in mine and don't know what to do. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
@@juanjoviadero7182 If I am not mistaken, in 2006 Honda introduced a modification to counter the Pan weave. Changing the tires really did the track for me (Continental Road Attack 2) and nearly completely eliminated the weave. Lowering the windshield at high speeds (and fast cornering) also increases stability. Idem for leaving of the top case if driving solo. You can also apply pegs to slightly tilt the windshield backwards (front end rises, top end lowers slightly). That being said, changing tires, leaving of the top case and lowering the wind shield really do the trick.
@@fearnoevilexceptbush3476 i've just changed tires (Pirelli Angel GT) and It weaves the same. The major problem is driving behind a van or a lorry, but sometimes behind a car and a motorbike too close . I am going to follow your rules and see If It goes right then. THANK YOU!!!

props to these guys for sure. low speed cornering is hard as frozen shit. but for as ridiculously hard as this may be, if theyre chasing another motorcycle, theres no way theyll be going this slow. i mean if youre at these speeds, just get off the bike and chase them down on foot. probably be easier. i think the need to make some of it more like real corners theyll encounter in a chase. not saying they dont already but this is a little much
First you crawl,then walk, then run.Do the basics well the rest comes easier.
No throttle tamers used on the bikes. It's all clutch and throttle control... using that friction point and just a little bit of throttle with it.
its called control you can do or you cant lap times on a track bollocks try road racing do the Isle of Mann or the North West 200 then you will want some controll

Wow you hurt my feelings. Why don't you do me a favor and attend a police motorcycle training course. All of the training that is taught, you never put your foot down. It is discouraged because of injuries that are sustained as a result. These are not dirt bikes these bikes weigh 800 lbs plus

Be sure to watch my video on "how to escape motorcycle police" by running four feet in one direction then running three feet in another direction... repeat as needed.
its great to see them training to grab bad people without getting off the bike. thats what eatting too much doughnuts do to you.
are they going to chase some rider on a sportbike with that big ass Honda?

NismoBoyz I'm with John...you should reserve judgement until you ride one. I have an '04 and even at 150lbs heavier than, say, a CBR 1000RR, it is a quick and maneuverable ride.
+NismoBoyz Police riders do tens of thousands of miles per year. Do you think it would be a good idea to do that on a Supersport?

If you make your living on a motorcycle and can't maneuver this bike you should be in a Crown Vic, but the truth of the matter is, most cops cant shoot and most cops cant ride. Cops are like Harleys, all hype.
Grind that psychological axe! Fitting so many logical fallacies into so few words is quite an accomplishment. In one short paragraph you managed to include classic examples of bigotry, prejudice, projection, compensation, generalization fallacy, and confirmation bias. Obviously it was unintentional, because with even an iota of self awareness you'd know how childish and illogical your pronouncements make you sound. In the real world, your comment says far more about you and your own subjective reality than the supposed subject matter.
Here's an idea - grow up, develop some self awareness, and try to see beyond your own self-serving, petty bigotries and insecurities. Just because you feeeeeeel something doesn't make it "the truth".
