Even if it is melasma it still looks like freckles to me and freckles are very charming and lovely in my opinion 😊

Hi Susan, thanks for sharing your experience! I'd like to share mine as well:). Cosmelan 2 was CRAZY effective for me! And I tried a lot of products and procedures for my hyperpigmentation. But, instead of using it with the cosmelan 1, I combined it with a TCA peel. I used the TCA peel to get rid of the hyperpigmentation, which worked, and the Cosmelan 2 to prevent my hyperpigmentation from coming back. That worked, it didn't came back! And that was usually my problem. It came right back after a (strong) procedure, or procedures and products weren't strong enough. So glad it worked!

its very good to see that you actually did it properly this time and used the products that they gave for after care as opposed to your video from 3 years ago when you actually have had a cosmelan peel in office before but realluy just used your own products the whole time.

Melasma is tough like acne scars we want this stuff gone. You are a brave soul going through these steps. I simply don't have the patience for all these steps or the time for multiple applications through the day. I really love your products, appreciate your honest, thoughtful, and educational content. There are so so many products on the market these days. What's most important to me is a routine I can do thats effective with a few extra things weekly or monthly to spice it up.

Susan, i did the cosmelan in office procedure and was given the home pack for 30 days. The cosmelan 2 lightens the skin like nothing else. I did have some very mild peeling. The moisturisinf balm thought was pretty irritating on my skin which i found very weird. My melasma was almost conpletely gone. I used my SPF every single day, multiple times. I dont know if it is because the sun is different in different places over the world, but i got my treatment done in india which is hot and humid. When i came back to the states, my melasma has sort of started showing up again😢 im planning to start my cosmelan 2 again as targetted treatment.

I've done TCA, Jessners & Mandelic peels for a couple of years. I think it is a good idea to tell viewers that you do need to cleanse, preferably double cleanse before using the degreaser. I'm interested in trying the Cosmelan. Great video

Hi Susan! I also have stubborn Melasma. Tried almost everything! I even did fat grafting on the face & my plastic surgeon said that it can help my Melsama, but unfortunately, it didn't. I also did oral tranexamic acid, didn't do to much too... I was using an Omnilux led mask & after using it consistently for 3 years, my Omnilux just stopped turning on. I was waiting for it to go on sale so I didn't use an led mask for a couple of months. My melasma lightened up! I guess since the mask sits on my face, there's some heat generated. Dr Shereen Idris has been saying to stay away from led mask as it can generate heat & flare up Melasma.

You have beautiful skin. I did not notice a difference and I appreciate your honesty. I think the Dr's office peel will make more of a difference. It's also very expensive for an at home peel if someone is only noticing a small difference for the end result. Thank you

So glad I stumbled across your vid. I did the in office peel about 1.5 years ago and it was intense but amazing. Completely changed my skin and got rid of all the melasma. Got the home version for this time around because I didn’t have time to go in and do the whole thing. I’m shocked it’s been two days and my face has hardly even gotten red! So disappointing because I paid $850 for the office version and $850 for the at home version. Thought I just did it wrong, but feel better knowing I’m not the only one with these results!

I just applied Cosmelan 1 home kit today. My question is, did you put regular lotion and sunscreen over the Cosmelan2? I didn't get that....
Did the pillow case get dirty from the Cosmelan2?

I am a licensed esthetician and did the hydroquinone free peel as well. Very disappointed as it is not much of a price difference for the MD. Wish they would make it clear that you will not see results anywhere close to the real deal.

I started having melasma since I was 18 years old due to sun exposure and no sunscreen you know when you’re young you don’t care much, it was barely noticeable but when I got married and had my first pregnancy then it got really bad entire face no matter what I did or used nothing worked I deal with it until menopause with the change of hormones my face cleared up but menopause terrible 😂😂

Thank you Susan for sharing your Cosmelan at Home Tx. You are so brave. I would be fearful of it burning my face and leading to worse problems. I am searching for a top rated neuro dermatologist to do in office Tx for my horrible hyperpigmentation from yrs of abusing Tanning beds and Sun bathing. Also getting ready to go in for consultation for Blephroplasty. My Rt eye lid ove night dropped putting pressure on my Rt eye interfering with my vision. It literally happened over night. 😢. Would love to have a face lift, but just cannot afford it.

Does anyone have preference for micro needling vs chemical peel? I may have a few Cara $ for light laser treatment. I’m hesitant as it’s a gift from my sister for Groupon. Of course, I’m researching the companies, the reviews and practitioners. Of course an expensive derm appt would help but I’ve been diagnosed with serious spinal disease and can’t afford right now.
