Interior design-wise, it doesn’t flow. You get the vibe that they’ve not long moved in and a lot of their belongings are in boxes waiting to be unpacked. A few well chosen items could bring this together and make it feel like a home. Architecturally, the amount of light coming in is wonderful and the use of the glass panels is great. It’s also nice to see a family home with the kitchen at the heart of it and not an afterthought.
Agree - no room for kids (or pets, or anyone) to run around that non-garden. Having said that, nice amount of quirkily laid-out space with good-sized rooms. Price seems in keeping with London r.e. Keep in mind, in NYC's Greenwich Village a 1 b/r 3rd floor walkup with no view or outdoor space, just sold for upwards of $750k.
@@LocationLocationLondon the living room needs a real fireplace, not a television on the wall as a focal point, beautiful and practical and this would have been an original feature. The glass window looking out onto the staircase makes no sense to me. The kitchen units (I don't know how much they cost) look second rate. The colour scheme is really bland (the picture inlaid into the wall is really tacky) no pop of colour anywhere. A missed opportunity
@@laurapearson3370 Some very Interesting points. Definitely agree on the fireplace feature, there is something special about them if done well. The purpose of the glass windows was to make the entrance way feel larger as it's more narrow than similar terraced houses. The kitchen units are bespoke and treated specifically to have that look as well. Understandably the modernist mono look isn't to everyones taste though! :)

They would partially move in to ensure they don’t pay any capital gains tax on the profit on sale.
I like some aspects of it.
Quirky and ample.
Ugly & the architect seems to have renovated for profit, not empathy
Thanks ❤ I love London.
Let the kids run around the garden 😂 what, let them do laps around the table?
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice house, but not worth that price.
No property in london worth its price 😅
A Mish mash of, try this, didn't like it, try something else. Decorated by the American school of drab.
taste is subjective after all
@@LocationLocationLondon there’s taste that gets you into architectural digest, and taste that doesn’t. This is the latter
Nothing works about the decor and fixtures
What sort of styling would you have gone for?

@@LocationLocationLondon this is not of the modernist period please brush up on your architectural terminology.
@@dva5610 We're talking about modernism from an an interior design style perspective.
The house is too much of a compromise and in my opinion is silly.
Yeah, yeah. But what the neighbours like?
It's located on a tree-lined street in a peaceful residential neighbourhood
