Lovecraft was very much inspired by Arabic culture and legends, it is awesome to find someone with an "insider point of view" to comment on his works, and share broader context on Lovecraft's ideas. I only recently found this channel, but I am very happy I did. Arabic culture is very diverse, full of inspiring legends, myths and folklore, which rarely gets the spotlight these days. Personally I love to sketch, listening to inspiring content like yours. Keep up the good work.

I am not a Muslim ,but I have much gratitude for your work. Thank you. I have walked The Rub' al Khali. I’ve been to the location called by some Irem or Ubar. Some Arab nomads even recognized the name Irem. I’ve been down under the great pyramid although it was supposed to be guarded by soldiers. H.P. Lovecraft was speaking the truth of all these matters and there is very little fiction in his writings other than his additions for dramatic flare. I am awake to these subject matters and have been since 1989. You’ve done a great service by informing humans.

Actually lram mentioned several times in the Qur'an, was a group of Arab tribes whose civilization grew up around a system of dams. These dams existed from ancient times. The name IRAM is an acronym like the word 'PAKISTAN' with each letter representing a tribe and its region. The Qur'an indicates that Allah blessed them to build great civilizations but over time they lost his blessing due to corruption and idolatry. The amazing thing is that the last dam broke in about 571 AD roughly a year before the Prophets birth. This caused a flood which wiped entire cities off the map, and led to a vast fall in the Arabia insence trade which predated Alexander the Great. It is believed that the modern Arabs lost the historic cultural links and also the technical know how to maintain and repair the dams. Ultimately all that is left is a mysterious system of huge standing pillars nowhere near a drop of water. One can trace the river routes from pictures taken in space. It is believed that they and another group the 'Ad, migrated in prehistoric times from the region we call today, Yemen. While the Qur'an absolutely indicates that the people of Iram were humans, it leaves silent the origin of their technology and almost other worldly ability to successfully erect huge Earth works, and irrigation systems while in the stone age and in some of the worlds most hostile environments. The pillars of Iram and dry riverbeds in the middle of the desert are evidence of this fact.

Where the people of 'Ad lived at the time was blessed by Allah swt, as green and fertile land, with huge trees. It's mentioned in the Quran and hadith.
Iram, only several times is mentioned. Thamud and Aad are mentioned more. As Prophet Salih said to them: And you carve fortifications in the rocks, like you will live forever? Yes, Iram, came after Aad and Thamud, and between Madyan. Quran kept silent about their technology, because the Quran came down for worshipping Allah, knowing Him, His Names and Attributes, His Being and His Actions. Rest are of no actual benefit.

The study of ancient giants is so interesting. It shows how little we are taught and informed by contemporary media and scholastics. It’s too bad because we as society could learn so much from ancient history.

I had never heard of Iram before watching this but now it's a small obsession for me. I have always loved history, science archaeology and mythology, so I find this a very interesting story. I personally believe that giants could have existed at some point, spiritually related or not. I mean they are basically just big humans so it's an evolutionary possibility. I also believe that aliens exist, though I'm not sure if they would have ever been here. But the universe is large enough that they almost definitely exist somewhere. As far as the city of Iram goes, I would need to learn more about it and other stories from the region before I can decide my thoughts on that. But I loved the video so thank you for posting @Mysterious Middle East!

I had always thought Ubar and Irem were the same thing--I never knew that there was an Irem other than in Lovecraft, I always thought that he cribbed it from the legend of Ubar. Excellent discussion of the unique properties of the Djinn. I've always thought that the Koran's description of the Djinn as being made of "smokeless fire" means that they are plasma beings, rather than thought beings such as tulpas.

In my opinion this channel gives us great content episode after episode keep up the good work. I live in the U.S. and they don't teach you many things about the supernatural that happened outside of the US. so this channel is a great source finding some of those mystical things that happened in the world.

I've always believed that the people of the Middle East have such a rich and beautiful history and culture. It's beyond sad that there is so much violence and intolerance there now. For a while now I've wondered what could be under the sands.. It seems likely that any ancient structures under there would be very well preserved and we could even find mostly intact structures from even as far back as 50,000-100,000 years under there
Also it's interesting to think about how it's possible there's so much sand there.... We know we can make glass from sand, so it seems possible that glass can maybe also decay back into a kind of sand.. Something to think of which is not very likely true, yet is something to ponder is that what if there was a giant city on earth there built from glass, that decayed over time back to sand.. What I think the sand is likely to do with though is ancient silica trees...
I think it's possible that whole continent was the tree trunk of a/the main giant tree of earth.. Is it possible the sawdust from a silica based tree could turn to sand? We know that silica based trees petrify into precious metals and gems, the saw dust of silica could act differently in the process... All of the silica tree roots and branches would turn to precious metals and stones too, which is apart of the ancient large scale mining of earth that most are oblivious to, after the giant silica trees were cut they would petrify over time, and some beings then mined the shit out of all the roots that turned to gems etc. .. Even gold could be apart of the many precious stones etc. that form from silica.. and they likely run like veins like roots because that's what they originally were

The bible gives us an answer to what happened it's called the Great Deluge and involved Noah. These are the tribes described in the bible that fit the description of tall and strong. The following tribal names descend from Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth: Amalekites, Amorites, Anakims, Ashdothites, Aviums, Avites, Canaanites, Caphtorims, Ekronites, Emins, Eshkalonites, Gazathites, Geshurites, Gibeonites, Giblites, Girgashites, Gittites, Hittites, Hivites, Horims, Horites, Jebusites, Kadmonites, Kenizzites, Maachathites, Manassites, Perizzites, Philistines, Rephaims, Sidonians, Zamzummins, Zebusites, Zuzims. The "Kenites" descended from Cain and were supposed to have been wiped out in the flood. The Nephilim were described as human hybrids. Every one of the giant tribes in the bible are humans. Its more than likely the Nephilim are descendants of what we know as the Neanderthals and the Denisovans. The reason I conclude this is that their DNA is still detected in all of us living today and are the most likely candidates to be the ancestors of the Nephilim human hybrids. The Denisovan girls remains have been tested and show her father is Denisovan, but her mother is some other human type where we have her DNA, but we don't have the mother's skeletal remains or any examples of her people unless it's being hidden from us for some reason.
