Good job. Those 105 7070 calipers are notorious for their poor screws. I had to insert split pins into mine instead

You can use kerosene. Or diesel. They're cheap but work like magic

I’ve used white spirit. I filter it and leave it to stand and the dirt drops out. Then it can be used again. It is also good in an ultrasound bath.
