Late AF but stormtrooper armor is designed to hard counter blaster weapons (that arent AP) and some protection from frag explosions but not much else, there helmets however have a Built in HUD system that can Link Directly with the scopes of many imperial infantry weapons, and if im also remembering correctly there HUD can see through smoke. Rex, luke, han can use the Armor's systems because each armor can only be activated and used by the trooper its assigned to.

Rex's age is catching up to him by this point, he's getting old, while Pryce is still close to her "prime" and she is a highly trained combatant. Had this been Clone Wars-era Rex, she would very likely have gotten her ass kicked.
