Good looking puller. Many might not know. Those Cubs built back in the day. Their drive train were just about as tough as a half ton p/u truck. They were nicely overbuilt. 👌
Thanks! We struggled with it all summer but I think we’ve got it figured out for this season, just in time to start struggling with my daughter’s new tractor. Thanks for watching!
Midwest super cub, it’s their aluminum grill. It has held up very well. Ran some 1” aluminum flat bar on both sides inside the hood from the battery box to the pivots for the hood to keep it from folding over when the hood is opened. Thanks for watching!

Are you gonna run a steel fly wheel I think Vogel sells a aluminum one we couldn’t run a factory fly wheel due to our insurance that covered our club we have had them crack and then fly apart I guess it depends on what your club rules say
I have a steel flywheel coming from Lakota. That’s what’s holding this project up at the moment. We’re governed to 4K rpm in this class, so a cast flywheel “should” be safe, but I’m not chancing it. Regardless of what the rules say about having to run a stock flywheel.

Thanks! Yea they were definitely over built! The center section is the same thing used in a Farmall Cub tractor. Thanks for watching!
Awesome build Sir!
Thanks! I wish I would’ve done a better job videoing it during the build. I learned a lot in the process! Thanks for watching!
Great looking rig ! Your son must be stoked for it ! Will be impressive to see with all the weights hung on it ! Look forward to seeing more of this !
Looks great. That is a really nice setup.
Nice, I'm almost finished building one with and for my son. 👍

Great job!!!
Thanks! It’s coming along. If it pulls half as good as it looks we’ll be doing something!
But it’s coming together and looking good
Thanks! Waiting on a few parts still, then we’ll get back on it.
I know this is an older video but i need to ask where you got that grill from. Its awesomeness

any rear engine, rear driven lawn mower pull?
I believe there’s an allowance for them in our rules. Most everyone uses gear drive cubs or wheel horses.
Cool project👍 Where did you get the seat box?
Midwest super cub. Got the grill from them as well.
Where did you get those suit case weights at. I’m starting on a 122 and this video is going to really help me out..
My buddy made them. He has a CNC plasma cutter. They’re 1/2” plate and weigh 7lbs each. I can put you in touch with him if you would like.
I have some friend that are RUclipsr and they puller there channel are pullerbear ed and twisted v twin garage see you around
You guys dont have to run steel flywheel?
Anything over 4000rpm. Personally I believe it’s a safety issue and run them on whatever.
@@karnesmotorsports yes ,ive seen the cast iron ones explode on a video one time at 4800 rpm
This is a steel one. I believe it’s a safety issue regardless of what the rules say about external modifications.
