Great review! Annabelle looked like she was having fun as a passenger. Certainly seems and sounds like a sporty drive. 💯🤘
Thanks, Alex - glad you liked the review! I’ve made myself laugh until I cry when I watch the footage and see my expressions, lol! This little pocket rocket was one heck of a sporty drive 😻😻 *A
Awesome review! Have one with discs on front and back. did 0-100 in 8/s on manual mode.. Max speed at 217 km/h fun little hatchback! Despite not being a real GT or a Clio V6 it's sort of a Williams of today due to emissions! :)
Thank you Pedro, yes it’s a sporty number, Williams if it’s day, we like that - nippy motor and handles well too, enjoy yours.
Awesome review, thank you both :) I used to own a Clio Dynamique S 138, which was a lovely drive, very underrated car.
Thank you Mike, you’re very welcome, they are and Ben loved his first gen.
Oh A great review a&B. I’d love to see it one in classic Williams colours. The interior is nice too. The colour reminds me of a colour they had in 1994. This new Clio has to be my favourite new French car of this size :)
Ah a Williams edition, that would be something, it’s a very impressive machine, sporty yet refined and a superb powertrain, thank you Matt *B
what a nice and personable review. I liked it very much. Greetings from Berlin.
Thank you Martin, glad you enjoyed it
Loved the review. And I actually like the fact that you look at it as a Sports Car, as a lot banned it from that segment since its badged 'RS Line'. I had the opportunity to test drive one and loved it. Unfortunately when I came to deciding on it, I backed away as my local dealer in Malta argued with me that its not offer with all round disc brakes, and personally a sporty hatch has to have front and rear discs. I grew up with a Renault 5 GT Turbo which makes me smile for miles, so I had high expectations on the spec, and as usual, a 19 year-old like me would love to go all out on it. Great review. Loved it
Thank you for the great feedback, this is how I see cars, I like you grew up in the hot hatch era, and we still own a 16v Mk2 Golf, of what I can deduce certain models come with discs all round including the one we had, I really loved it, thank you Gianluca *B
Great review. Finally learned how to open my boot without using the key card !!👏
Thank you 😊
Nice video ,Hello from Iasi - Romania 🇷🇴❤️
Hello Lasi, did you enjoy the review?
you two are awesome 🤣🤣🤣 best ever
Thank you ? 🥸 What was the best part, by the way we’ve 10 new motors b2b starting this Tuesday
Good review.
Thank you The Better g Cheese, this is a fantastic car *B
First time watching you all, looking to buy a car for uni, originally from the United States so I’ve never seen a renault, peugeot, citroen or any of the sort. Now I’m in med school overseas and need a cheap vehicle to get me through school and came upon you while looking up the clio, 308, corsa, ibiza and so on. Thanks for the info and honest opinion
Thank you Le Blade, interesting to see our reviews are reaching far and wide, hope you find your perfect car *B
Just bought one of these from cinch. First registered in September 2020 has everything you guys have got and even has the easy park assist. Only 7000 miles on the clock in Valencia Orange. Gets delivered Tuesday. Can’t wait 😝
Excellent! We really enjoyed the time we had with this one 😍😍 *A
@@PlanetautoUK yeah your review of it has been my favourite by miles. So reassuring to hear how positive you were about the gear box also.
My last automatic car (Ford Fiesta 2011) had 2 gear boxes stop working in just 7 years and only 55000 miles on the clock. I just do motorway driving mainly.
Looks like I’m really going to enjoy this and great fuel economy also. Thanks so much for the great review! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you James - glad you liked it! *A
I've got this spec of RS line Clio in Iron Blue and it's superb, although i don't have the electronic handbrake which i prefer but i wish i was able to get the Bose edition and Multi sense. Only gripe is that it has drum brakes still but it's certainly great to drive and deceptively quick.
If you'd got the electronic handbrake you'd get the disc on the back! That's what I did! It's amazing on track day just needed a little more power
Ordering mine on Monday going for the hybrid auto i can't wait to get it. Great review thankyou.
Oh very nice, enjoy
What colour are you going for? And thank you 😊
@@PlanetautoUK The orange.
My favourite colour, it’s an awesome car this, mind you I used to have an RN on a K plate, would love a Williams.
@@PlanetautoUKi agree its a beautiful orange.
Great review.
I was in a Renault dealership last year and had a sit in one if these. Though it may look.very similar to the mk4 it certainly has been improved a lot with a really nice exterior refresh and a much more premium feeling interior.
I've not driven a Mk5 but I did test drive a MK4 GT back in 2013. That particular car with the 1.2 TCE 120 and duel clutch transmission didn't feel all that quick and suffered a lot with road noise but it sound like Renault have really improved upon the failings if the mk4.
I've seen a GT line int hat shade of blue and looked fantastic. I can see why the Clio has returned to form receiving high critical acclaim dispute not being the new kid in the block anymore.
Totally agree with you - the new Clio seems to be back on form. It's just strange not to see a bigger engine available to the public, but that seems to be the way things are going. Thanks, Mark. *A
@@PlanetautoUK Yes sadly many now offer only a three cylinder powerplant. In the recently Discontinued larger sibling the Mégane, the jump went from the 1.3 TCE to the 1.8 RS after the 1.6 turbo GT was dropped from the lineup. It would have been nice to have been offered a six speed manual with the 1.3 TCE Clio but again, the fact that there is a four pot on offer at all in this class is definitely a positive.
It’s across the board BMW going from the straight 6 to 4 with a motor, R32 down to R - better balanced engine in my opinion, however the difference is you still get sporty small models Polo GTI - 1 Series 135i even if it is 4 cylinder etc - but for how long with ICE Mark
Pick mine up on 01/03/2021. I also went for the luxury Pack like you stated and that comes with heated full leathers seats. Yous appear to be the standard trim
Very nice, what colour did you go for?
Titanium Grey
That’s sounds very smart, similar to the old R5 Turbo colour.
This is a superb review! The steering could become heavier if the car is put into sports mode?
Yes, like most Sport Modes, it will weighten up nicely! 😎 Thanks Tom, glad you liked the review. *A
My wife order the renault clio tce130 rs line. In the configuration she doesn't want the ambiente light, but we realized after the order that we haven't the multi-sense.
Is the chassis in the rs line the same like the normal clio?
Is the clio rs line without the multi-sense always sporty?
As far as we understand this does feature a dynamic chassis which adapts to roads, which kind of plays into the different feel we experienced on varying types of road. Thank you Dully *B
@@PlanetautoUK But this doesn't answer my question 😁😉
In many reviews from the clio rs line, the chassis compared with the chassis from the old clio rs. But in the reviews they have all the multi-sense (a sports modus).
Without the multi-sense the clio haven't a sports modus and i am anxious to know if it just like the same level with the clio with the sports modus :)
Many thanks in advance
Hi @Dully - we will see if we can find out from the Renault team, and come back to you. *A
Only multi sense option comes with ambient lighting.
I'm getting this in 2 weeks on diamond Black
Oh that sounds very nice, enjoy it Evie
Great video but can you get more in depth with the real fuel consumption?
What would you like to know?
A great reviews guys, thank you. Has this car got enough power for motorway driving?
Glad you enjoyed it, @JAP96! It has absolutely no problem on motorways - plenty of power through the gears. *A
@@PlanetautoUK great thanks for your help! And Merry Christmas
To you too, thank you Jap glad we could help
i think annabel was bricking it a bit when you were flooring it haha
She’s had over 15 years of this 😆 thanks Stephen
Ours will not start/recognise the key fob. The red “P” light flashes on the dash. Anyone any ideas?!
What we used to do with those type of errors is disconnect the battery for say 10 mins then reconnect and try again, if you do though, use all safety methods recommended. It implies P is to do with either parking or handbrake, very little info online - maybe try a Clio forum, hope you sort it Rich - keep us posted
@@PlanetautoUK thanks for that. Agreed there is very little info out there. Ended up jump starting it. Battery is faulty/not charging properly.
That may well be the problem, we’ve had numerous cars that have suffered from a myriad of errors due to overcharging and undercharging batteries.
In how many years time will this come into south africa ? We don't even have auto Clio V even up to now lol
😮 I don’t know
This or Seat Ibiza FR 1.0 115 DSG?
🤔
Hmm, both good, best bet drive them both, I’d likely edge to the Clio *B
Bran new from Renault - Top Spec £ 14, 300 .
Bargain *B
Very good review, but I think Annabel looks terrified with your driving style sitting in that passenger seat, lol
Thank you R Day, you may well be onto something, mind you she’s had 15 years to get used to it 😆 *B - Sorry about that, R Day - I’ve made myself laugh until I cry when I watch the footage and see my expressions, lol! This little pocket rocket was a bit much whilst I was getting better from a heinous migraine 🤢🤢 *A
Still no manual transmission wtf
Moving forward this will become more and more the norm, sadly
I’m 50/50 about changing to this car looks amazing but it’s French and it’s got bad reliability?
Clio’s typically are pretty reliable, have you driven one yet Emma?
@@PlanetautoUK so u recommend them no I test drive tomorrow
@emmacamp6426 yes, definitely - then update us tomorrow, I really enjoyed chucking it around, handles well and quick enough. Enjoy
@@PlanetautoUK yes will do I’ve read cambelt has to be done every 5 years aswell?
@@PlanetautoUK I am buying the car n getting extended warranty just in case
Renault clio. RS prachtig auto,
Rijdt als een trein...*
Dat is inderdaad zo. Fijn dat je genoten hebt van de recensie
@gebruiker-mg2gd3oh6x
Dont insult the car with those thrashes in your yard.
Que?
