    Just bought one. Really happy with it; quicker than expected with the electric shove. Nice cabin. Good mpg but as someone else said, it really doesn’t like steep hills. Feels like it drops into first and revs itself like a blender and vibrates like mad. Wouldn’t be a problem but living in Bath = steep hills everywhere 🙄 Udderwise, really happy with it.

      Rien de mieux qu'une Yaris hybride, le moteur électrique fait 80ch ce qui aide en pente ....

    I'm glad I have the "old" 130 petrol RS line with the 7 speed dual clutch gearbox.

    Bought one of these about 18 months ago and I really like it. Getting about the same fuel economy as yourself,Tim, which is a definite plus. I've found it gives me a pretty quiet driving experience, even on the motorways and I just love that smooth,quick take up from rest. Downsides? well like most modern smaller cars these days the seats are far to firm for my meagre frame ( how I miss the soft seated French cars of the 70s and 80s) and the seats are much lower in relation to the dash than I remember in older cars, even compared to my old mk 2 Clio,necessitating the use of a 4 in booster cushion for myself and my wife. The auto gearbox ( a first for me) can thrash a bit on hills and could really do with more gears but I guess you're not going to get that on a small car. All in all though I am very pleased with my Clio e tech and would definitely consider another when the time comes. Good review Tim.

      Hey Barrie, what’s the motorway mpg like? Over say an 80 mile journey

      @@pintsizedbiker Hi there, over the trips that I occasionally do to my son in London from Swindon,about 90 miles, I'm getting 60 to 65 mpg which is quite pleasing. Somebody commented here are that they weren't getting what they expected, well remember,as with full EVs, the cold weather really hammers batteries and I found around town.during the cold snap we had, that it took much longer than in summer for the battery to become fully charged, so bear that in mind. I'm very pleased and I think that if you look on this as an "assisted" configuration where things can vary, depending on circumstances/ driving style etc then I don't think you will be disappointed.

      @@barrieainge4937 thanks Barrie. I currently have a 3 year old Ioniq 1.6 hybrid which give similar mpg, was curious if I’d lose much if I changed. On a 80 mile round motorway morning trip to Richmond and back from Basingstoke it can fluctuate from 60-80 depending on time of year and if I am plodding 60-65 or pushing on a bit

      @@pintsizedbiker One minor thing to add, I believe the engine has been slightly updated to 145 bhp whereas mine from 18 months ago was 140bhp meaning possibly better efficiency and mpg..?

    I have the 1litre manual in this spec and colour. Love how it looks, love the Bose speakers they seemed to have stopped doing, and it’s really fun round the corners. It’s surface quality is lovely, but unfortunately the real quality is not good (creaky plastics, infotainment screen has been replaced after cracking, false boot floor rattles from the subwoofer, and I’ve an alarming number of stone chips in the paintwork considering I drove the MK4 round the same roads for 3 times as long…)

    Also, I think we should be able to buy add ons for lane assist where instead of getting increasingly angry beeps, we get a French person making increasingly angry grunt noises with dash insults like, are we driving in Rome?

    BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BUY THE HYBRID VERSION. I bought one in 2022 expecting for a high mpg after reading Renault's blurb i.e. travelling 80% on electric and driving as long as possible on electric, yes that is total BS. The first few months it appeared to be okay however when the temp drops and you need to use the heating fan the ICE will work nearly continuously you will loose at least 10mpg, at first I thought the car had a fault and returned it to my local dealer, they clearly knew the problem before I turned up because they had a mechanic waiting to speak to me he explained that even the EV battery was fully charged if the electrical load i.e. your fan is on it won't switch to the EV mode until the engine is fully warmed up, so local short trips will just use the ICE, so to get around this I switch the fan off until the windscreen mists up to use the EV mode. I am currently in dispute with Renault after learning other makes of cars don't suffer from this problem.

      Yeah I got one in September was great but now it’s freezing cold if I want to be warm the engine revs so much I’m only averaging 32mpg might end up getting rid of it disappointed as it is a good little car.

      @@ReDemPTiion2 Thank you for your reply, I'm in the process of complaining to Renault as they clearly know this problem yet still use miss leading information on their website, and looking to escalate to the Motoring Ombudsman I'm not expecting a win but it will make me feel better and rather do nothing.

      @@ZedsDeadOK I’m going to give it to the summer, Renault claim 68mpg but I’m getting 32 because I want to be warm if it’s nowhere near that I’ll be selling it. I’ve got the RS Line and the ride is very firm on it which isn’t nice to me I’ve had cars with bigger alloys with smoother rides. Other than them 2 issues it’s a nice car just wish someone had of told me when I went to order it that in the winter you won’t get good mpg might have made me think differently. I had a 2 litre Mazda 3 before it and was getting high 30’s for mpg thought that was crap but it’s not compared to this!

    • @ZedsDeadOK
      @ZedsDeadOK Год назад

      @@ReDemPTiion2 I've got the Lutecia version I find the ride okay it's better than the Peugeot 3008 I had before. I've spoke to a Yaris Hybrid owner and they don't suffer the loss of mpg in colder weather. I like the car but disappointed with this issue and like you was not warned by the sales team of this issue, I think I will make a formal complaint as Renault should not be allowed to get away with this.

    • @ReDemPTiion2
      @ReDemPTiion2 Год назад

      @@ZedsDeadOK ride isn’t bad on smooth surfaces it’s when you go on anything with bumps it’s awful. I’ve just filled mine up there low fuel light on only done 210 miles on that tank which is shit averaging 33mpg, on way home engine was warm so went into EV mode 58mpg but as soon as that engine kicks in it plummets. I’ve got it on finance as well so if I want to get rid I’ll probably lose money on it all could have been avoided if they had mentioned something about cold weather
