To the few people stating that Unique Toys transformations are fun or good....I'm glad you enjoy them. If they are something you like, if you are a fan of super complex conversions than hey more power to you. I'm happy you like that. I personally like it to a degree and my recent experience with Niro and Desperado left a bad taste in my mouth with their transformations, which is why this is titled the way that it is (felt that needed some clarification).
Okay but Dragoon, Challenger, Peru Kill, La Hire (dx9 but its pretty much UT) and now Red Dasher all have great transformations. So only 2 out of 7 ut figures have difficult transformations. They are still known for their great engineering while also making it fun.
DON’T USE TFSAFARI!! They ripped me off of a lot of money for mechanical alliance figures. You will pay and never receive your product.
I think it maybe depends of what you are comparing them with. Your experience are mostly with official stuff, so when compared to that, yes, unique toys can be a chore, particularly the two you mentioned. The others who claims otherwise most likely compared unique toys with other 3rd party mpm scale products, which is to say, toyworld, alien attacks, and newage. And when compared with those three, unique toys are definitely on the "fun" category, because holy shit, those other three.
I think it's safe to draw the conclusion that you'll enjoy Unique Toys' carbots transformations. Lucky for you, UT is pumping out carbots consecutively.

their engineering is just solid in general
i picked up their bruticus a while back and that thing's combination is a joy to execute
and beyond that their blurr is also really highly regarded from what i hear
I’ve personally never experienced any problems with the transformations of unique toys, just that they can sometimes be drawn out, but are never too uncomfortable, difficult, or straining to do. But that just makes me trust in this toy just that much more.

I think canonically speaking, Mirage and Dino are separate characters. The same can be said for Que and Wheeljack.

Yes, someone else suffering with me. At least his knees are just a couple millimeters away from being perfectly placed so the lower body isnt a complete waste.

Finally, a transformer that understands where knees go. Still not low enough but I can finally say that I cant honestly say that the knees are too high.
Also, the shins are just about the same length as the thigh depending on if you include the foot and which knee you use, but a correctly placed knee will have the distance from directly between the double joint joint (or just the joint) be closer to the bottom of the foot than to the top of the thigh. The only time I can think of that this was gotten right was legacy tarn, who did this correctly even when excluding the lower joint. Let me know if anyone else has correctly placed knees, cus it is very rare and can immediately make any toy 500%better no exceptions.
I never thought too much about knee placement before High Octane Bumblebee, that's got to be one of the worst right ?
@@zerofade the aoe thing right? Yeah thats definently up there (pun intended). I'm not sure if it is *the* worst, especially since the joint is placed in the shin instead of the thigh. But still a very bad knee. Unrelated, but I just got the yolopark scourge, and the knees are just barely there. Id say the lower two knees are probably just low enough for me to like them, but there's a third knee joint, so I simply measured from the wheel embedded in the knee, and the thigh stops at around ankle height. Gotta take what I can get, and what I got is a knee that looks low enough but isn't.
They should totally dip their toes into Sideswipe, no company has done an MPM styled Sideswipe and it doesn’t look like Has-Tak is going to for a good few years

@@alobaymarhey, we meet again! Yeah, I wish Que got some love as well. We now already have two versions of a MPM style Dino and soon there's gonna be an MPM style RoTF Twins figure. Just hope an MPM style DoTM Que from a third party isn't merely a distant dream. To hope on Hasbro, they haven't even finished the 07 film line yet as Brawl is still not out since it just got revealed recently.
If the DOTM toyline didn't get cancelled and delayed who knows how it would have continued, maybe we could have gotten a Human Alliance Que (that would be so badass)
@alobaymar ...I have nothing against Que's design, and I have been actually diagnosed if my depression matters. Either way we're getting a Studio Series figure for him soon, and I'm actually kind of excited for it.
In fact, UT's Dino has received a lot of criticism in china's tf forum, such as the painting quality and the perfunctory design of details, but I think the simple and logical transformation is where it is close to MPM, that is, to sacrifice 10-15% similarity but get comfortble transformation.(On the contrary, UT's galvaltron, i think it sucks.)
Imagine if UniqueToys actually got the liscense over Hasbro tho...

Hey that toy guy, so I’m from the US and whenever I order something on eBay or Amazon from Japan or china, it doesn’t come like at all so idk if tfsafari would work for me but do you trust tfsafari to deliver your products because I see you got them just fine and I know your from Canada so should I give tfsafari a try?
I have the upscaled Alien Attack (I think?) Dino, and it's one of two MPM-like figures I've handled that I actually remotely enjoy. This looks so much more fun! The faux chest is ugly to me (but of course that's the only way to make it accurate), but if I collected MPM still this would be a fairly easy replacement.
I prefer Alien Attack Firage. Lines up better in a SS display, the alt mode is way cleaner and there are no fake parts in bot mode. Had mine for years and transform nearly weekly with zero issue.
Unique Toys often use a sort of inside-out style of transforming for their Transformers. This is seen with their Galvatron. It may seem like cheating, but it prevents nasty back kibble, so I don't care.
Really hope unique toys will make the wreckers from dotm that would be epic
I got mine a few days ago and came to similar conclusions. Definitely awesome and highly recommended, mine even came with ferrari logo stickers!

I find unique toys transformations really good. The only hard ones are Nero(i got used to it) and Desperado. Alien attack on the other hand....
The only figure of theirs I've got is Nero (Galvatron). I also got the oversized FL-01 version of that figure. I agree on one thing.....They look REALLY good, but transforming them is an interesting proposal.....It's the reason I passed up on all the others up until Nero, but I just COULDN'T pass on that one because the alternative at the time was......his AOE Voyager Class figure.......But, I think your review may have compelled me to get another of theirs!

What are your thoughts on the MPM 15 reveal?
I prefer the Black Mamba Dance Of Death KO of Firage by Alien Attack. That one has articulated hands, a better looking head, articulated arm blades, the toes all touch the ground, the car mode is much more accurate, plus it doesn't have sturdy child bearing hips.
Black Mamba often improves these Unique Toys film figures, if they improve it enough I'll pick up the (cheaper) KO.

It’s probably easier due to the fact that its a first trilogy design and not a super complex humanoid design that hides all the alternate mode parts.

He is called dino in the film because (as far as I know) Ferrari would only let them use the 458 if they called the character dino

Couldn't disagree more - many of Unique Toy's transformations are genius.
I was half hoping we wouldn't have faux chest piece, and I'm fully aware that it would probably end up with super messy transformation with that design. I feel like this is more studio series++, which is good and bad.

Cool Dino. Cool that his transformation isn't a nightmare. I like Dino's design, hes one of the better Bay designs. But, hes got nothing on my boy Mirage! Love him!
In my headcanon, Mirage & Bee sneak out of the Autobot base to catch a movie at the drive-in theater every so often (sneaking into the back row to not be seen/attract unwanted attention). They both think that Optimus doesn't know, but he _definitely_ knows (he's always known). lol It was actually Mirage's idea to go to the drive-in in the first place, cuz he wanted to have some fun with his bro Bumblebee. Bee at some point discovered that he could record the movies' audio to use to speak later. & hes been doing that ever since. & ofc, they both just enjoy the movies they're seeing, too. The funny thing is before Optimus (in ROTB) said "I do not want you to go to that drive-in theater anymore", Bee & Mirage didn't know that Optimus knew. & yes, in my headcanon Bee & Mirage are kinda brothers, their dad is Optimus, & Arcee feels like an older sister who tries to prevent her younger brothers from getting into trouble.
Also, Ferrari has cool cars, but they're a dumb company. Like, really!? You can't customize a car that YOU bought and now YOU own!? And only ONE company/person can have the toy license at a time!? Like, really dudes!? At least let 2 companies/ppl to have the license at a time! Stick up their butt, indeed.
