Have to say that seeing Luke play Elden Ring is the best thing I've seen in a long time! He quickly adapts to the game and played so well for his first time! Hopefully we continue to get more of this awesomeness and hopefully I'll see you become the Elden Lord one day! 🙏❤
You were so much more ready for the game than I anticipated from the thumbnail :D Would love to see more of it, especially when you fight the first major Boss ;) I'm a huge souls games fan and have played way over 2000 hours if you count them together, but I still love seeing newbies tackle them for the first time ^^

This was really fun. I hope you give this game a few more streams. I promise it will only get better and better. Especially once you get the hang of what you are doing.
Don't bother rushing until the end of the game. It's supossed to be played at your own pace and the average first playthrough until the final boss takes around 70 hours. I'd be absolutely down to just watch you explore this massive and beautifully horrific world ^^

Is hard at first, but you did really good in the dungeon, you read the patterns pretty well and that's how you need to fight, learn the movements then you find the openings.
You will be fine, just remember the controls, like closing pop up messages, jumping, skills and heals, and this will be a very fun journey.
Hey Luke a Big comment incoming no spoilers or som, just explaining some things so you can have a better understanding of the game
--If you click, start, equipment and then R3 You will get a display for your weapons where you can see scaling of a weapon, Damage type, weight, and Attributes needed for wielding a weapon
-- Weapon scaling goes like this S>A>B>C>D>E
--the better the scaling of a weapon the better Damage goes up if you level the right attributes
-LEVELS
Vigor= Hp
Mind= Fp
Endurance = Stamina and equip load(so you can get heavier equipment without being burdened)
-strength and dexterity are for leveling up damage on weapons by their scaling
-intelligence= magic damage and magic spells also some weapons require magic at a certain level
Faith = for miracles and also some weapons require this
Arcane= increases your discovery rng for items and the status ailments you inflict on opponents, your Katana does Bleed (after a certain amount of hits the opponent losses a percentage of their health) the big splash of blood you saw sometimes
When you rest on the site of grace you can Use your golden seed you choose during the character creation menu to get more Healing flask -rest on site of grace-Flasks-Add charge to flask
Also you can change your Flask to be for healing only(Crimson Flask) or Mana (cerulean/blue) on Allocate Flasks on the same tab at the grace.
Also if you 2 Hand any weapon you are less likely to recoil of a shield when hitting an enemy and you can break it's stance easier, the clacking sound when you break a stance and seeing the enemy fall to their knees, that is when you know you can do a critical attack on the front or back of the enemy (lock on)
-BTW HAVE FUN EXPLORING!!! There are some mines you can enter to loot some free smiting stones all over the map! Do not be afraid to level up weapons!

Luke got the pop up saying down the hole was a tutorial, didn't read the fact it was a tutorial, jumped down and ignored or skimmed through most of the tutorial prompts, said there was no tutorial, then claimed he had been reading everything while also not knowing he was doing the tutorial, or how to do certain actions he was already taught but missed because HE DOESN'T READ

"Maiden" almost always refers to the Finger Maidens, each tarnished is assigned a maiden, sort of like your squire, to level you up, Varre essentially said; "you have no means of growing stronger, as it stands, you're fucked tbh, but I'll give you some advice", your maiden was dead in the chapel you awoke in, the first body you looted was her.
TL;DR; no one is ACTUALLY saying you have no bitches, even though it sounds like it, and is definitely funnier that way

Luke just remember everything is worth doing in this game. The more you explore the better and avoid using chat for help unless you feel stuck. A good rule of thumb is give everything a couple attempts and if you still cant beat it move on to something else and come back later.

This is a day I have been waiting for!
Man, it's rough jumping into Elden Ring first, there's so many systems and mechanics built on from the previous games... there was no crafting, no jumping, no weapon arts (until the third game)... it's a LOT to start with.
I mean shit I'm a souls veteran and the watchdog bodied me more times then I'm comfortable saying you did great this stream, a single point worth noting is to grab cookbooks whenever available in shops as well as cracked pots as you never know when a recipe can save you in a bad moment and those cracked pots are basically infinite re useable crafting items of elemental/status bombs recipes you get all through the game, you use them and once thrown they go back to your inventory for crafting again.
The choice of character DEFINITELY affects the difficulty. You gonna have an easier time killing dragons with magic than a knife.

I recommend you to play in Blodborne because in BB it is the easiest FS game but thanks to this it is easy to get into habits so after playing Elden Ring Dark BB it will be easier for you to enter the world of ds1,2 and 3 a 2 is impossible to describe in words, you have to try it, good luck with the game :)

Out of all the souls titles Elden Ring does the first part of the game the worst. IE the tutorial and entrance to the open world. Dark Souls 1 does it perfectly and even Dark Souls 3 does a really good job. They teach you everything you need to know without making things too easy on you. Elden Ring makes the tutorial something a 5 year old could beat and then the entry is just barren until you get to the open world and then you have a NPC who hates you and a field boss that should be fought 10-20 levels later.
Really think Elden Ring needed a harder tutorial, basically make it a dungeon and put a pumpkin head as the boss.
Majority of streamers struggle with the first third of the game purely because of how many options they are given without knowing basically anything and then they struggle until they get some levels and gear and learn a bit and majority then have no issue beating the game but it's that first third of the game that will grind people down to the point of not enjoying a lot of things right away.
I think as a first souls type game this isn't the best, Dark Souls 3 is probably much more suited to that role or Dark Souls 1 if you want to play through all of the titles eventually.
Glad you are playing though but I can see you struggling a lot for these first few streams.
