The next one is on March 19th. :)
Great content as always. I've kinda been turned off by Facebook on account of their pay-for-play model, but I'll definitely be sure to try some of your tips!
I love Facebook! It is a major part of my advert./visibility for my book. BUT I HAVE A HUGE QUESTION! Should I do a book page or an author page, or both? BTW, this is Nathan Branim, I've commented before (this is my book account:))
I'd probably do an author page ... just because you'll have other books to promote and it makes more sense under your author page. But ... I'm happy to hear your thinking on why a specific page!
Great post. Subscribed. I have used Facebook and have done pretty well. I'm certainly not posting enough though or interacting with followers. Inviting people to like and Facebook live are good tips. Thanks.
Welcome Ronnie Thompson! Thank you so much for joining the community and saying hello. If you have a specific question you want to be answered, you can ask at any time. I just might shoot a video to help you out. And, if you haven't already, I highly recommend you check out our free resources at BookLaunchers.com/gameplan and grab our free guide to sell more books.
@@BookLaunchers Appreciate the reply and thanks for the link. The one aspect, I have found, when marketing my book has to be where to get the best ROI? What is worth the cost and what is a waste of money? For example, advertising on Amazon versus Facebook? As a self published author it is a nightmare and you can easily waste good money. Love your posts as they are straight to the point. Keep up the great work!
Hey Ronnie -this isn't an easy question for me to answer as most of my book promotion has not involved paid ads. We're starting to do it for clients but we're focusing on Amazon ads and Book Bub. I've always felt like Facebook just was too complicated to get it figured out.
@@spartanlb1986 Me too ... especially now that I am freezing but the way things are looking we'll probably head back in February/March. The good news is that my son has been able to spend a TON of time with his Grandparents and his cousins. That's been great for him.
I’ve been considering doing a Facebook Live. I’m not sure if I have enough that would participate. I may give it a shot. Plus, I don’t know about the rest of you, but my feed seems to be full of people going live to sell $5 jewelry. I don’t want to appear annoying.
HAHAH I have not seen anyone going live to sell jewelry. :) Sometimes when I do my Facebook Live's there are less than 5 people in attendance but the views will be in the hundreds within days. Facebook will show the replay to a lot more people so it can spread that way. You won't appear annoying if you are having fun, doing it to help others, and genuinely want to communicate and connect. If you try to sell $5 jewelry ... well then you might get annoying. :)
Book Launchers Paparazzi Jewelry is a home based business where you get a box of inventory, go live to get people to say they’ll buy each piece you show, then recruit other people to do the same. If you share it on your Facebook, you get entered for free stuff. I see at least one every night. I’m still going to do my own.
So you can say, "I told you so." I did a Facebook Live on my author page. Five people were on when I was live. Within the next couple of hours, it had been viewed 480 times and I only have around 100 followers on that page. I have more now and more people went to my website to sign up on my email list. Great advice. Thanks!

Good info, this will be a difficult change for me. Im not a facebook fan...
Hello...Lucy 🌎
Do you find Facebook ads are good for non-fiction? I've been told "Great for fiction, especially romance, but not for non-fiction."
I have not had any success with Facebook ads ... but I am not sure if it's non-fiction or Julie.
@@BookLaunchers Ok, the sources are pretty good, so I think it's non-fiction. Julie is safe 😊

Drink decaf!
Maybe you need to drink more caffeine to keep up with my enthusiasm?? ;)
@Dark Truth -- why in the world would you want her to be "decaffed"? I can't even use her services, but I still like her energy.
Thank you @yapdog :)
I love your videos so much but I cannot stand the constant chuckling is distracting.
You mean you can't stand the parts where I laugh and have fun?? :(
And that's what I love about her videos😃. Each to his own I guess?
Wow! I love Julie’s genuine enthusiasm. Lots of boring straight-laced RUclipsrs though if that’s more your style.
Really great information. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
