The MT-07 is the budget king. They cut out the un-necessary stuff like electronics, top spec suspension and a decent paint job but as a result you get a great engine in a light, easy to work on bike for less than the cost of a new 125 second hand. The best part of the bike is the sound once you put an aftermarket exhaust on it though. I recently upgraded from an MT-07 to a Super Duke R and the Super Duke is not nearly worth triple the price. Not to mention my MT-07 has 21,000 miles on it and hasn't had a single fault whereas my Super Duke has left me stranded twice in 2000 miles, once because of a loose battery terminal and another time because the wireless key wouldn't register. My Super Duke also has numerous mechanical faults, firstly the loose battery terminals, then the wheel hub isn't machined properly, there's a recall for the brake material failing and a radiator leak and electrical faults are common.
The sv650 is the budget king imo.
6Twisted geez Louise, not good !!
Some of us have started using KTM as Keep Taking Money, the loose battery thing seems to go across the range, my wife currently Rides a Ktm but think she will be changing soon.
The phrase "master of none" I think really fits it. The sweet spot of this bike is normal people using it normally.
But still got capacity to be a badass machine!
i got a mt07 for my first bike, now 3000km in and i love it.
the engine is fun and forgiveable and even in my hands i can keep up with bigger bikes in the twisties.
great commuter and u can buy a lot of cheap custom parts for it, love it
I think you mean "jack of all trades, master of fun"
I think I like the sound of that better, “Jack of all trades, Master of fun!”😎
I got my 2017 Fz07 a couple months ago lightly used (only 2400 miles) and it had aftermarket exhaust and blinkers already done for me and I absolutely love this bike. It's perfect for what I need or want. Super reliable, and fun fast acceleration.
Such a great review/ comparison video!! Too notch quality. Two thumps way up for this vid 👍👍
Jack of all trades, master of torque!
True, in this group of 4, it wins in the torque category. But they are all so close.
Thanks Scott. Love your channel, and your honest reviews. I'm thinking about my second bike, and there are too many good choices!!!
Thanks for always keepin it real~
Absolutely love my 2018 mt07, I'm a small guy, only 5'3" and it's just right, have put a few mods on, exhaust etc, only downside is still the swing arm corrosion, also the cooling pipes, have had mine powder coated, sorted.
Thanks for doing the middleweight naked series for us. Nice to see the same reviewers perspective on all 4 bikes.
Your reviews are top . Clear voice and comprehensive. Keep the good work. Congratz
Picked it up three months ago as my beginner ride, 3500 miles later, I only regret my purchase when I ride with bigger bikes in a straight line, but melt them away in the turns
Love it - I almost bought that bike back a few years ago. Killer use of the 360 camera too. Well done!
360? Where ?
Thanks Scott.
Just looking for as many ways possible to use it, sometimes it works and some...well not so good and those shots don't make it into the video :)
So far I've bought 3 360° cameras (2 gopro Max and 1 Insta 360 one X) and broke two of them :( They don't seem to like being dropped on pavement at 60mph, don't understand why. LOL!
This Christmas I will get an 8k 360° so the 360 shots will look better and not be so grainy.
take care,
Scott
"beginner bike" is a really weird phrase. It differs from country to country. Where I am, everyone recommends 125 or 250cc's to beginners.
I noticed that too! Where are you from if you don't mind me asking? And do you take driving lessons on the small bikes as well?
I'm from the Netherlands and pretty much everybody starts on a 600cc while some (and I really do mean some) take a 300cc as a starter bike.
Two thumbs way way up for the video!
Thank you for this video :) It really helped me.
Excellent review! Great points. I wish my wife would want to learn to ride.
I bought a 2017 FZ-07, beginner rider, put 8k miles on it over the course of a year. Great bike, I commute, ride out to the Twisties and ride to Los Angeles. With the exception of a track experience, this bike holds it's own very well. Put an aftermarket wind screen and it's quiet comfortable for semi long distance. I wouldn't do an all day haul on the bike but she has more than enough power to keep for a while and not enough power to get into anything to crazy. I'd like a better suspension and am looking to upgrade it soon.
Awesome first ride review as always. I rode a Yamaha fzo7 in 2017 I was very impressed with the motorcycle myself. Can you please review a 2020 Yamaha fjr1300. I have a 2016 Yamaha fjr1300es myself and I absolutely love it.
2021 Entry Level bikes with slipper clutch: CB500F, Trident 660, Z650, may be an option for new riders when downshifting etc?
Thanks Scott, you must be so excited for your wife to be riding with you soon "Any days a GOOD DAY when your on two wheels" now its going to be "AN AWESOME DAY" maybe teach her to brake and accelerate really well in a straight line. I taught these to my son and quickly he became an excellent rider. The low seat height will do good for her confidence too, Just some suggestions for yous. I pray yous safe travelling on them roads. :-)
The FZ-07/MT-07 is a very good bike for a first time rider. Most people will grow into it. I bought one for myself and then bought another one for my wife. If you like it , get a pipe and a tune! It changes the character of the bike (in a good way). The government restrictions regarding the way in which the bike is tuned is apparent when you are able to get it done. It's got plenty of low end torque (i.e. grunt), and is a blast to ride.
Hello, i would like to know how it is for 2 people on it for some touring?
NTP - too many nice bikes - you make life so confusing !!! As always Thnx !!
As always great review. I would add 2021 Triumph Triden to this list as well.
Yep, as soon as that hits the Dealer next year, I'll be on it!
Thanks, Scott
Triumph trident coming out soon, another bike to throw into the mix ✌️
Junk
@@filoIII looks WAY better than all the other naked bikes.
@@simpshady9090 COOL! Doesn't mean it's not junk.
Black and blue ones are quite refreshing to me compared to that gaudy white/orange ones.
You have covered Parallel twin, V Twin and Inline 4 variants.. Need to wait for a few months to cover the ‘Triple’ variant - No prize for guessing which one I’m referring to !
Is this suspension good now like on a bunch of vids they say it’s garbage an doesn’t last but is it fine now? Is it worth it to buy this bike????
Great video as always! In a couple of days I'll go try it as well (first bike). What gloves were you wearing in this video? I really like the short cuffs!
The MT07 would be an excellent candidate for lowering. Not only could you lower the rear with a set of lowering links or dogbones, the conventional front fork stanchons are easily slid up in the triple clamps to proportionally lower the front so you can maintain the steering geometry which will obviously be important for a novice rider. Most bikes with USD forks have a landing area where the upper fork tubes fit into the triple clamps limiting the ability to lower the front. Of the bikes on your list only the honda has USD forks and might have issues lowering the front.
Great Video 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow this bike 😍
Oh, on a side note, if your wife goes for the mt07, just a thing I have noticed as a short rider, the side stand is really short, you may not have noticed but when you put it down to get off the bike it can feel like it's leaning waaaay over.
Nice video... Let just say that in some areas the price of the latest version is few hundred more than the older version.. is it worth it to spend the extra dollar?

If your wife is that small, definitely check out the Yamaha R3. I weight around 140 lbs and the R3 has been a great first motorcycle. I definitely will be upgrading within 2 years, but the R3 has been a great tool to learn.
Or MT03....
That is a strange ignition point. I think I’d prefer it on the side of the engine if they want to get quirky.
Idk why people say these are beginner bikes or starter bikes, they're fast as hell. I regularly outpace and leave in the dust my buddies that ride 1700cc Harleys. They're more than enough power and speed to get yourself into trouble. For a long time a 700 was considered a pretty powerful bike. 1000cc super bikes on the street are a modernity. This bike is more than enough to ride and enjoy for a long time.
nice clip 🤘
Loved your video, but I have to ask. I started riding on a 2019 Honda Rebel 500, do you think the MT-07 would be a decent step up or would you think something like an MT-09 would be a better jump?
Thank you Samuel,
I think you can step up to the 09 without problems. Both bikes are very easy to ride and the 09 will keep you interested longer and end up saving you money in the long run.
Ride safe,
Scott
Without a fairing how is the wind hitting your face ?
OMG, where did you find that sun tan, Looking good my man !
Italian Alps. Thank you.
Are naked bikes affected by rain? I mean I know they are designed to ride in the rain but doesn't it affect it long term? I live in England and it rains a lot here.
All bikes are the same as far as rain. No one bike is better than the other in this aspect. If you leave any bike out in the rain, over time, rust and corrosion will happen.
Ride safe,
Scott
Did they improve the throttle response or more specifically load change reaction?
I’ve driven an older MT-07 in driving school and even in third gear this was really bad on this bike. In first and second gear it was downright horrible.
Yeh even a remap doesn't fix it. I have one, which I totally love btw. You basically have to clutch in slightly when on/off the throttle.... Or be very careful to apply from zero throttle very slowly.
Rob Thorpe Totally sums up my experience with that „toggle switch“ throttle. I went for the SV 650 after that. Much less off an issue there.
It's not the bike, it's your throttle control skill. For those who can't do it right, MT-07 throttle response could be too sharp. Go for Kawasaki.
I just rode a 2020 MT-07 and I would say the throttle was perfect. Very smooth and controllable, but also responsive. If you are smooth, it was smooth, if you were abrupt, so was it. I wouldn't call it forgiving, but I would call it perfect.
So between this bike and the SV650 which bike would you choose?
I am tending towards the the SV simply because I don't like the looks of the MT-07.
SV650 take it for me. The motor, looks and handling are better, imho.
i got the mt07 for my first bike, got it for the looks, the torque i can grow in to and the custom parts
@@NothingToProve Thanks for the reply I guess only a test ride will help me with that decision in the end.
My first and current bike is a 2015 Yamaha R3. I'm 6-foot and 160-pounds. I know it's a relatively small bike, but it doesn't bother me much, not that I have anything else to compare it to. With all that said, do you think I would still feel cramped on an MT-07? It's at the top of my list for an upgrade bike.
You are probably right at that point to where I'd say go and sit on one and see for yourself if it fits you. It really depends on how long your legs are for your height. If your legs are a little short for your height then it should be fine but if your legs are a little longer...then it might not.
Good luck :)
Scott
Hi! Great video, how did you attache the camera to you in those scenes where the viewer watches you ride like from right side behind you? Is it mounted to sour backpack somehow and the mountaing is edited out..? I wanna try that way of filming too, but dont know just yet how. Thanks in advance
Thank you. Yea, the gopro Max is attached to the end of a selfie stick and the other end to the back of the OGIO Mach5 backpack. It's a 360° camera, so the selfie stick gets edited out when the two lenses are stitched together in post.
Ride safe,
Scott
Hey Scott! I did like this series of videos that make up the middleweight comparo. That in itself is interesting because nowadays people seem to consider middleweights bikes of between 700 - 900 CC. So does that make these lightweights? One thing I want to mention is that I like that you are doing the ride-by's again. The 360 camera doesn't do a very good job of showing the ergo setup and rider seating position. It presents off-angle so you can't really get a good idea. The ride-by's solve that problem. Man, these things look small! So definitely not a bike type I could ever consider. But your target audience isn't really a big ogre like me, is it? HA! I will watch them again and see which one I would pick, if I could ride a bike like this. On first glance I kinda like the MT-07. Stay tuned! And as others have stated, the Trident is coming. That one might be worth waiting for.
SO, which one to pick? I was all set to select the MT-07 as number one; then I went back and looked at the Honda again and completely changed my mind! LOL! I think the Honda wins overall, although there are a couple of things I don't like about it, mainly that screen. So... of the four, my picks would be Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki. I hate putting the Z650 last, but the engine just kills it for me. So that is my pick! What be yours, Sir? Inquiring minds want to know!
Problem is if you call these lightweights, what do you call the 250-400cc bikes? Three classes just aren't enough, because there are the 300-ish, the 650-ish, the 900-ish, and the 1100-ish bikes.
The MT-07 is suitable for short people. As long as you have at least a 30-inch inseam, you''ll be able to place both feet on the ground.
I weigh 140 lbs and have a 28" inseam and it's fine even with a thicker seat. Yes I'm on the balls of my feet, but at a stop it's left foot down and right foot on the rear brake.
Great review. Very relevant and useful. THANK YOU! 🏍👍🏻😎
Which one did u like more mt07 or cb650? Thanks
SV650, Z650, MT07, CB650. In that order. :)
Something to keep in mind is insurance. I wanted an mt-07 but insurance was 130+. Month. I got a 1700 Vmax for 51 a month. That difference alone is the cost in monthly payment on the loan.
The issue with the Honda is that it is quite a bit more money than the Yamaha or Suzuki. Here in Canada the MSRP for the MT09 is about $500 more than the Honda and that is a small difference for a step up in performance class.
Rein vom Motor her... Welcher gefällt dir besser? Der SV650er oder der MT07 Motor?
SV is much smoother and the power delivery is more linear and controllable, and the sound is the best of the Japanese 4 imho. The motor is also why the SV is the number 1 choice for track day beginners. If you do a track day, you'll see in the beginner/intermediate group a lot of SV650 but very little MT07's. That in and of itself speaks volumes about the difference between the two bikes.
I’d be very interested in your opinion of this vs a Svartpilen 701 for someone downsizing from a 1200GS ADV looking for sporty ride. They are closely priced in my area.
I did a review of one a while back:
ruclips.net/video/1jwT1IQKGgo/видео.html
Enjoy 😁
Very nice bike. I think for myself I like the fun of the high-revving screaming Honda. You pay the price but ah well.
Cheers
Doesn't power wheelie
It's not about configuaration or cash! The CP2 engine and lightweight package alone knocks the competition on it's butt!
Bought the MT-07 for my first bike and been loving it for the last few months. Only thing thou its a bit torque-y? As a new rider almost got myself in trouble with it :D
Take care bro
i got a new z650 because i sat better on it, regret not geting a mt 07, i want more torque.
TheDamnSwede I want mt07 too man. And look... I had a z900 and I didn’t like the bike hahaha
@Redrum dang. Sounds better tho. But it does have more power. Felt faster than my sv600 bandit 1997 i had and my z650 feels much slower.
@@KROWARIZONA Why didn't you like the z900? I've been looking at a 2020 version and keeping my 2016 fz07.
Great review as always! Two thumbs up! 'OK guys, lets see if we can think of the most ridiculous place to put the ignition switch' I think Triumph already won that competion? No, wait, I can think of somewhere even more stupid! TFT sceens have a lot to answer for. I much prefer separate analogue speedo and tacho's. Out of the four my choice would be between the Suzuki or the Honda. In that order.
😂🤣😢
Great review and nice bike. I had one of these myself for a couple of years and for the most part found it very enjoyable. I was a little too large for it and had comfort issues and when two up the rear end would bottom out from time to time not really the fault of the bike. When i sold mine some corrosion had started to set in which was a little disappointing after 6k dry miles but at £5k the bikes a little gem.... extremely easy to wheelie but i swear i never did those haha.
Where on the bike was corrosion starting to creep in
Gonna be interesting to see if Triumph can shake things up a little in this class with the new Trident model.
Yea, it would be nice to see some European OEM representation in this group. A budget BMW....hmmm...now that would be funny. LOL!
I just can't see it appearing at this price point...I hope I'm wrong.
It's about the price, not about the engine displacement. Honda is already 1000+ euro ahead of other 650 cc bikes, and Triumph will go over 9000 euro for sure.
Triumph mentions the MT-07 as it's competitor and that it will be priced very competitively. So they will target the same price bracket and i think Triumph will price it very aggressively to get a piece of the pie in this market segment. You need to sell a lot of bikes to get economies of scale for it to be profitable. Plus Triumph needs a cheaper bike to get new riders into their brand. They will use a cheaper steel frame, brakes, suspension and the old 675cc powerplant which won't cost them too much R&D money to re-use and de-tune. And with the production in Thailand i don't see why they couldn't match the Japanese on price.
Anyway it's going to be a great time to shop for a new bike next year with all the manufacturers refreshing their bikes for euro 5 and the new models being launched.
@@NothingToProve Try a used BMW F800r from 2015 onwards. Weight 199kg. seat height 800mm.
MT07 is in need of an update so badly
You know, I'm a bit confused which one to buy between the MT-07 or the BMW F900r as they have almost the same type of throaty rumbly sound. But I'm a bit more towards the BMW. But your review in F900XR is also throwing me off a bit!! So wanted your opinion/advice on it, I'm 5'8" btw. So I can't make my mind between F900r, F900XR, MT-07 or MT-09!! Would really appreciate your reply in it!!!
P.S. I'm looking for city riding mainly!!
For city, the smallest, lightest and most nimble is the 07 of the 4 bikes you list, so just pure city riding that wins. But if you want a little more power, then the 09, but if quality and connectivity is what you want also then the 900R.
Good luck 😁👍
Is the suspension really as bad as they say? “In a corner”. And would it be good for a big rider? I’m 6’4” 225lbs
Well, I'm 5'10" 185 and after two hours on this I was feeling kind of cramped, I don't think you'd do much better.
But as long as you ride this bike like a "normal" every day person, then no the suspension is not bad. But as soon as you push this bike then you'll feel it but most guys won't push it to the limit...so that is why Yamaha made it this way.
@@NothingToProve much appreciated 👍 I’ve been told for the 2021 they raised and widened the bars to make it more accommodating for taller riders, but I don’t know if that will help much with the leg situation. If only I could find a dealer that would let me test ride one
Imho the gas tank leg comfort is way better on the Gen 1. Gen 2 has too many pressure points if you try to wedge your lower body ESP the knee area to it. Same problem as the msx Gen 2 , form before function. z650 comfort is way better imho. I'm 5 foot 8 btw.
I started off with one. Not a comfortable bike for taller riders. At 6’2” the angle of knees to feet/pegs was a little rough. I tolerated it but the Duke 790 is much better. It is always hard to tell just going off specs.
If this is a "beginner" bike I wonder what are the MT-03 and MT-125...
eu requires a1 and a2 licenses. that is the purpose of those bikes
@@jakesdabest127 Not entirely since the MT-03 is sold in the US, land of unrestricted licenses. 125s are pretty scarce though, I can think of two.
@@jakesdabest127 Not really. EU only has A1 and A2 since 2017, and 125/300cc bikes have been around since forever.
My friend has the Kawi and prefer my mt07 by miles but got the kawi as it was cheaper. Also don't forget the crossplane sounds like a twin, the I line traditional crank sound bland. All bikes are great though still yes
That seat is soo squeaky. That's why I went with the 2020 sv650, and I prefer sv650 blue over mt07 orange/red. No blue mt07's in the states, only black or orange.
Bruh i am really concerned about the rust problems i heard its an annoying problem in this bike.
Nice review but rear has rebound adjustment too👍🏻
Yes, you are right. Thank you.
Hey man, love the channel. Appreciate the more laid-back tone of your reviews. I'm looking at an MT-07 for a commuter with some fun characteristics, coming from a previous-gen Street Triple R. Do you think I would be disappointed by this too quickly?
Came from a 675 striple r to MT07 and not disappointed 😀👍🏻
Yes, you will notice the performance difference right away but if you're looking for a great every day commuter with a little bit of fun, this fits the bill.
Please let us know which bike she chooses. God bless.
Will do. We'll probably make a video with her in it, riding and doing a lot of talking...etc. 😁👍
Hi. Can you review yamaha mt 03 2020?
I was going to do it this year but then covid19 happened and messed everything up. Hope to do it next year. Sorry.
Ride safe,
Scott
Was this the overall winner?
Na, they are all winners, just depends on what you want :)
Does it have abs
Yes, in the EU it's been a law since 2016. Just depends on where you live.
👍
A German bike Channel? Why am I not subscribed??
Did my license on this bike and i have to say, in comparison to my 4 zylinder honda it is just not smooth enough for me.
I had to shift down 1 or maybe even 2 gears more on the mt07, and it was kinda annoying.
To be forced to shift down to 3rd gear when going 50ish does not fit my style of riding.
If you don't know how to ride this bike, better go ride the bus - it'll be much safer and easier for you. For other riders 50 km/h on 3rd gear is ok. And if you think that 50 km/h is the best speed for 5th or even 6th gear, your "4 zylinder honda" must have been 125 cc.
@@DenisAleksandrovLV also dont understand his complaints...this bikes can easily do topgear after 40mph and overteak effortless without downshifting. At least my sv650 allows that. Its not as relaxed as my bandit 1200 was but compared to a 600 4 cylinder is a lot easier to ride with less gearbox use
👍💯
This model is my favorite. I will buy one in 2021 (i think a bit expensive)
your an idiot. This bike is cheap
Well if it was my personal choice I would pick the Suzuki, but you are looking for a bike that might fit your wife.
In that way I would pick the Kawasaki, because....
-You outruled the Honda for its weight.
-The Suzuki is maybe the most complete bike
-The Yamaha is maybe the sportsbike in this class and a little too high.
-The Kawasaki is maybe the bike to ride with the most ease, the lowest weight, but still handles very well.
Don't you agree, Scott?
Ride safe and keep healthy!
Yea, I'm leaning that way too, it's between the SV & Z but let's see what the new Triumph Trident will bering for us next year 😁
ride safe,
Scott
Simon Lütt , I would have thought 182kg is lower than 187kg.
@@bruceleong9534 True, maybe I confused the numbers...
SV650 all day long!
And all night long it's Kawa and Honda with their LED lights :)
@@DenisAleksandrovLV The headlight on the SV is fine and its just a better bike than the Kawa. Ok the Honda is in my opinion a better bike than the SV but its 20% more expensive ;)
@@zweifive376, don't think so, just look at the technology used in both bikes. And halogen lights can't be better than LEDs, in both illumination and energy consumption.
yeah i like the mt or z650 ah decisions decisions 😊
Mt-07, After watching countless of video's I've come to the conclusion that most people that have reviewed the two like the mt-07 better, because of the fun factor. I also don't like the z650's looks myself.
@@Tousain, MT-07 is all about the engine. Maybe the seat and riding position, as it seems slightly higher. And Kawasaki has everything except the engine - LED lights, slipper clutch, smooth gearbox and throttle responce... As for me, Kawa is better bike overall, and Yamaha is for those cafe-racer type riders.
I'm in the same situation and I think I'll go for z650 because its a more modern bike and a little bit safer. It's also not that common here in Sweden. I don't care right now if the engine is better in mt07 because probably I'll not notice it as a noob who bought a first bike. My goal is to buy my dream MC, mv agusta brutale 800 after 2 years on 600cc.
I've ridden both the Z650 and the MT-07. To be completely honest, the z650 does feel a little better; the power delivery is smoother and it actually corners better (better suspension). Brakes are a little more grippy as well. Ultimately I went with the MT-07, purely because of the CP2 engine. The sound (grunt) is sublime with an aftermarket exhaust system. Both are great bikes though, you wouldn't go wrong with either one of them.
Why does everybody refer to these bikes as a beginner bike?
"everybody" is not calling this bike a beginner, we are saying that it's a good bike, so good that an entry level or beginner can ride it too. Meaning that it won't put you in the hospital or kill you if you do something stupid on it. 👍😁
I thought in Europe you need to start on a 125? Is your wife able to start on such a powerful bike? It seems that at 50 kg that bike is going to be a rocket for her
not if she is over 24 years old then u can get the full licence
and the mt is a handfull i give u that, got it for my first bike thid year, but its forgiveable if u make a mistake
Power is phycological thing, if you are mature and under control it should be no problem and she is over 40 so power at this age is less of a concern than say size and weight of the bike. And she is currently on the Honda Monkey, learning the basics and a small light weight bike highlights your weakness in any of the skills areas. So by next year she can handle a bike with 80% more weight/size than the Monkey.
Thanks. I am just learning. I"m 51. Been riding 6 months on a Honda CRF 250L. Everyone here has scared me into staying under 500cc for a year first. I didn't realize your wife was learning on a 125cc. That makes sense. I've been looking at the XSR700 for next bike, or maybe a Ducati Scrambler. Thanks for all the awesome vids. Greetings from the US. We aren't all crazy here :)
Well, I'm from Michigan, spent the first 42 years of my life there 😁 So I guess I'm a little crazy! 🤣
But you bring up a good point, most people over here in Germany look at me and ask what is wrong with "you people" and I say hmm...I don't know.
Yea, 6 months on a 250, then you can move up to just about any middleweight bike and be just fine.
Ride safe,
Scott
Even in European Union there are differences between the countries. Here in Baltic states you can go up to 35 kW once you are 18 years old, and in age of 24 you can get non-limited licence.
It's all about experience. If you were riding on full sized bikes, you can ride it no issue. But if you were riding on 125 cc bike and then try to ride this one, it will be hard before you get used to it. Totally different power and throttle response, more weight, and so on.
If you had to prove something what would it be

These bikes are not quite for beginners and certainly too much for a 50kg woman. Maybe a 300-400cc bike would be better for her
These bikes are perfectly fine for beginners. Especially considering that she comes from a 125 so isn't totally new to Motorcycles.
Arjorn I think you are right. it makes perfect sense for someone to upgrade to a bike that has 7 to 10 times more power than what is currently riding. Also it would be a piece of cake to handle a bike that weighs 4 times the rider's weight
Those bikes are the class people above 24 will ride on to get their motorcycle license in Europe. So perfectly fine for a beginner.
His wife is riding the 125cc with her car drivers license i think. So she will need to go up for the motorcycle license anyway.
for responsible beginners its perfectly doable, i got it for my first bike coming from a 50cc
In Australia, we have a learners and a high output version of this bike. Based on the weight, it's probably not so bad. Based on the power, it probably depends on your handling of the throttle.
