Love your channel, Dan. I much prefer to hear the actual outdoor sounds from the events as they happen along with your careful moderation only when necessary and not the music. You do a good job of letting stories pay out by themselves.

My boat ramp has a perpetual cross wind. Best thing i ever did was ditch those vertical guide poles and put those side guides that look like carpeted bunks. Go on each side and stick out the water enough.
Another great video and that is why I go to the boat ramps that are not busy on a weekend to avoid the crazy folks 😅

My brother lived in Brunswick, I had never really seen these uprights on the trailers until he come up to visit me in Mo.
Even then thought nothing of it being a thing.
I guess it's just niche thing here and there.
I was tought to load without anything except maybe a small pair of side bunks. However I was also tought that if your truck bed resembles a Jacuzzi ya probably in a hair deep.
Anyway I found Big Dan and I couldn't believe the amount of uprights on trailer's. Not badmouthing at all, long as she's on the trailer...right and tight.👌👍

Good contrast video following the voice over video. Watching them come in under tow is a good time to make the point if you have never walked your boat on you might want to practice once or twice.

I’ve been called a Sexist here before but I feel like boating and the roll of “Captain” is predominantly a male thing. Same reason you don’t see many Female Pilots. 🤷♂️

Great stuff Big Dan. I think a lot of laugh because we have all been there a time or two lol. Quick question about ICW launch. How busy is it in July during the week. We are in Mobile and coming down that way for a week the week after the 4th(Maybe all the googans will be gone HA) We are staying on little lagoon but planning on pulling the boat out of there one day to run over to Bird and Robinson.
Not that busy at all.

You need to set up hotdog stand sell dogs, cold drinks, ice cream, this is better than Barum & Bailey circus.
I have yet to see a triple launch/recovery at once. Maybe AL needs to paint some lines....
Keep doing what you are doing Big Dan! And here I go, I know I'm going to get beat up over it by all of the buzz kills out there. ITS MUSIC!! They are not hurting anyone. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, they are out there enjoying themselves. And NO, they don't have to take YOU, or ME, into account. Instead of fussing about it, be glad you live in a country where you have the right to do just that.
Someone could make some money teaching new boat owners how to backup, launch, and trailer their new boat. Its such a stressful thing to deal with your first through 20th time. Charge like $300. Take em out on a Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday mid day and practice for a few hours. If you could book only two people per those three days that would be over $7,000 per month.

We have a State Park Lake here in Kentucky it is 317 acres, and this past weekend, it looked like your trailering area. Only boats were all over the lake. From Jon boats to Cabin cruisers. It was crazy. Joe
