This myth about last season needs to do one, we played well for approx. 2 months (mid Dec to mid Feb), the performances nose dived after the league cup final and we only made it to the FAC final due to a pretty easy draw (and even then were lucky to get past Brighton in the semi) but we still managed to grind out results (thanks in large part o Marcus) this season the results have caught up to performances as they always do. We've been poor for way longer than we've been good under this manager.

How can every team in the premier league have a style of play and we have literally nothing that’s recognizable from game to game apart from terrible football.
Kobbie, Garnacho and Dalot are the only players that have showed anything consistently this season.

As a United fan, despite all our injuries, the tactics in the majority of our games this season have been utterly pathetic. I am ashamed by how bad we are. Ten Hag doesn’t have a backbone, and whatever he's trying to do has not worked all season; every game we've played has been the same. We get dominated by every team we play, and our players make the same mistakes every game. Nothing has changed. I really want to believe in Ten Hag and be patient, but seeing how this season has played out really makes me give up hope. Maybe firing Ten Hag would continue the cycle of firing managers for United, but with Ratcliffe coming in and making changes, I can’t help but think that getting a new manager to fit this new regime would be more beneficial. As a United fan for 20 years, I literally cannot watch this anymore. I give up.

Whatever is going on, injuries, club shambles, whatever, he’s seemingly incapable of organising a football team at even the most basic level. But he ‘is’ obviously capable of doing that…so I just don’t know. 🤷‍♂️ …I think it’s because it is all so bizarrely shit, that I do want to see him have another year. The fact we’re replacing players we only brought on a year or two ago under the same manager proves how poor he has been in the market. Antony, Casemiro, Malacia, Mount, Eriksen, Onana all not good enough and need replacing. You can quite easily blame the manager, because the tactics (such as they are) never change, there's no clear plan, the team selection is consistenly bad, woefully underperforming players are starting every game whilst others aren't getting chances, in-game management and subs are often bad. All that is on the manager. Injuries, players not playing well, etc, just add to all of that. Don't like changing managers regularly, but im really, really, losing faith in Ten Hag because it's the exact same shit week after week.

The injury excuse really doesn't wash when you think about it. One of the key reasons to have a style of play is so you can slot people into positions when other people get hurt -- and those replacements know what to do when they come in because there's an established style of play. That's what's done in any team sport, actually. And the failure to have a style of play falls on Ten Hag. He knows this, but keeps talking about injuries as an excuse. He's being disingenuous, yet again. Also, it's his job as a manager to come up with game plans to work around the injuries, but he's been unable to do that. Instead, he just washes his hands of responsibility by talking about injuries. It's not something that you want from the leader of your football team. I may have missed it, but I can't think of a time when he said, "I take responsibility for the failures in this game, and we're going to correct it." Instead, he talks about things are headed in the right direction or injuries or some other nonsense. As a leader, he's setting the mind set and example for the team. So the manager doesn't take responsibility and then the team takes cues from him and they don't take responsibility. Any leadership expert in business or sports would probably tell you that nearly everything Ten Hag has done over the past year is an example of poor leadership. Sorry for the long post. It just kills me to see the same stuff happen every week.

Turned it off at the half. Just can't tolerate it anymore. Seeing Casemiro do nothing and lose balls left and right on top of everything else. You eventually regress to the mean, and Casemiro is showing that whether he's 32 or not. I've seen players in other clubs older than him still be absolute stalwarts. If he was at Madrid he'd be performing better than this.

I have reached a level of pure exhaustion with our fans. Our expectations do not match our reality. ETH overachieved last season with this team that obviously had a new manager bounce. Now that our unrealistic expectations are not being met we blame the manager. Our fan base is more toxic than arsenal’s fans. Yes, ETH is underachieving this season. However is the you switched the two seasons then everyone would be singing his praises. Let’s use a little perspective. Has changed his line up 30+ times this season. If you look at other teams that faced the same challenges they were in the same position dropping points left and right. I hate Liverpool but look at what they went thru when their entire backline was injured. Our fan base made fun of them for doing so bad. Now that it’s happened to us we act spoiled children. Our fan’s think we should be winning titles when that’s not our reality. This is not 15 to ever 10 years ago. A lot of mismanagement has happened in that time from recruitment, investment, and lack of strategy. Yet it is ETH’s fault that we are not winning. These are the same plays that threw Jose, LVG, Ole, and others under the bus when things went sideways. They pack it in and only look out for themselves. Like our fan base. If we sack ETH, he will go to another club and succeed. We will be made to be fools again.

      - 80% of these players are players he signed or extended give it a rest.
      - What guarantee is it that he leaves and becomes a success at his next club? Did that happen to LVG, what about Ole? What Jose? Even then wtf does that have to with us and do we care.
      - Ten Hag has alot of shoulder to blame for that mismanagement that you speak of. Chased Mount and Amarabat and then comes out in the media he doesn't have the tools to play the Ajax way 😳. While having 3 ex Ajax players as well! Gets Casemiro and Eriksen, two non physical midfielders, plays them the correct way his 1st season then scraps it and plays them against their strengths afterwards. Bonkers!
      - if it's a few games or a few weeks of poor results than fine, whatever, shit happens. If it's an ENTIRE season, and occurs with every ayer, that indicates a system/tactic problem
      - Injuries, injuries 🙄 Newcastle, Brighton, and Chelsea have statistically had worse injuries than us and at this rate are soon about to pass him. Injuries happen, you cannot tell me that squad that we rolled out today is worse than Bournemouths FFS 😂😂
      - Complain about player culture and then play the likes of Rashford, Antony, McTominay for WEEKS while they drop stinkers

    • @JamisonMcClam
      @JamisonMcClam Месяц назад

@@mzakaria10 what 80 percent he signed. Last I checked only 3 started yesterday and mount came on as a sub. The academy players you can not count as there were there. He is actually got them playing well. As far as extending players he needs some depth due to bad recruitment.
-well he was a big success before coming over and it has been shown that our club is so poorly run. Jose went on to win a trophy at Roma who struggling in Serie A. Moyes wins trophy at West Ham. Since Ole left he is garnering more respect and interest. All because the clubs know how bad we are run. Yet it falls on the managers shoulders.
-how do you know he wanted mount? How do you know he wanted Casemiro? You say these are his signing but were you in the room when he asked? He does not have the players to play his way. No manager does with this squad because of how badly it was built prior to ETH. His played well the first season due to not having injuries and the players playing to save themselves. Then this season you have all the injuries preventing him from playing the same style again because it’s not their strengths. So he changes and adapts. It goes sideways and you act like he had a choice. If he did not change his tactics then things would be much worse than they are. And you would be screaming for him to change.
-it’s a personal problem not a tactics problem. 4 players under 20, 4 aging players whose legs have all gone this season, and 2 players who are still getting their footing, with no left back. Because the physio team cannot get players healthy. What options did he have in tactics other than what he is doing. I’m sure if you were the manager we would be winning every game 7-0 because you are such a tactician.
-yes roll you eyes at injuries. Because that’s a solid response. You know why those teams are catching us is because they are getting healthy while we are not. Shows how much you are paying attention. ETH spine is gone and has been gone the whole season. Not even Pep could work miracles with that. If you look back at the 01-02 season untied struggled in the table when the spine of the team was out injured. Once they got healthy they rebounded and won the trophy. After Liverpool struggled with injuries they rebounded and played much better when their spine returned. Actually, yes, our squad is not great and is a mid-table squad. Once we are healthy then we can say we are better. But this arrogance mindset is devoid of reality in our squad. So yes keep eye rolling shows how much you know about sport but also being successful in it.
-yes I complain about player culture. Yes rashford, Antony, and McTominay are all playing bad. But who is suppose to take their place. There is no depth. He keeps adding youngsters to the bench to build out depth. I will sit here and wait. If you say give youngsters a chance that’s how you ruin them and prevent them from reaching their full potential. He is trying to do what any manager or coach would do try to get them to play out of it. We just do not have the patience for that to happen.
