that's awesome! congratulations, about 5 months ago I went to confession for the first time in over 2 decades. I was very nervous about it beforehand, but the relief I felt afterwards was incredible. I do have to be careful about scrupulosity. the stain may be cleansed, but sometimes the self-imposed shame may take a while to go away. having a regular confessor helps, I still need to find one myself. nowadays, I go to confession every 2-3 weeks.
may the grace of God and the love of Christ be with you always prayer 🙏🏻

Nice. The only tip I would give is to pray to the Holy Spirit to reveal any mortal sins you might have forgotten. After my first confession, the Holy Spirit revealed through my conscious(randomly came to mind 6 times in 2 weeks) a mortal sin I thought was covered in the first. God bless.

Do you not understand Apostolic succession? Barbara Morgan has a recorded presentation available through Franciscan at home - she said always be ready to provide your testimony (“a reason for the hope within you”) - a 3 minute, 10 minute and 45 minute testimony about the active hand of God in your life and the goodness of Jesus Christ. Also, she said get prayers over yourself in regards to teaching/catechizing. And love them passionately - love so much you’d be willing to die for your students

Re: assaulting the Pope and the attending consequences -- there's an amusing anecdote by Clara of the RUclips channel @RUclipss_Original_Grandma a.k.a. Great Depression Cooking with Clara. She went to her eternal reward in 2013, but she would have turned 109 in a few weeks from today as I type this. Clara grew up in an Italian immigrant family in New York State, and had relatives in Italy. Her husband shared the same general background. They went to Italy as newlyweds to meet the family still in Italy, who happened to be in the same town that the reigning Pope of that time was from. In fact, he grew up with Clara's Italian family. And the boys didn't always get along as school children. I'll leave it at that, and let the reader/ viewer go to that channel to try to find that anecdote. I did try to find it again, but RUclips search wasn't helpful, and I ran out of time going through the videos. But you won't regret getting to know Clara posthumously thru 10 minute videos, and listening to her anecdotes and adventures of living through the Great Depression.
