3 years ago my wife had a spinal stroke which completely paralyzed her making it impossible for her to take care of herself. Her family (hell even the nurses at the hospital) thought I was going to leave her behind because it was going to be a lot of work for me to care for her from then on, but I quit my job and am now her full-time caregiver. It is a lot of work, but I love her more then anything so I enjoy helping her and can't imagine leaving her to fend for herself after everything we've been through. It changed our lives drastically, but brought us closer together and made our love for each other stronger then we ever were before. (Also her family loves me now. LoL)
I suffered a spinal cord injury 3 years ago. I remember the doctor coming into my room after my MRI and saying most likely you will never walk again. After he left the room I looked at my fiance and said "the f*$k I won't"😂. SO much work and therapy.. 3 years later I am able to walk a mile with a walking stick. It takes me almost 40 minutes BUT I can do it. Your attitude is EVERYTHING!! NEVER EVER GIVE UP!! Your family is AMAZING! YOU ARE AMAZING! You've got this girl!!!! So inspirational to others!!!
No clue why RUclips recommended this to me, but I'm glad it did. Had the biggest smile on my face the entire time. Keep smiling Makayla, your smile and positive attitude is infectious.
@Simon Templar I feel really bad for you. So ashamed of their own life that they try to bring politics and negativity into a comment section about someone trying to enjoy life. I wish you the best my friend. Hopefully you can find happiness
I am a 15-year-old paraplegic I have been a paraplegic for about a year due to cancer that moved from my brain to my spine. It was a drastic change in my life, and I felt like I was lonely and there was no one like me. but watching this video was really inspiring to me, and I was hoping maybe you or someone in the comments could reach out to me about any teenage support groups in the Dallas Texas or Forth Worth Texas area.
Philippians 3:20-21 KJV For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: [21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. This life is like a shadow by the time the sun rises to its highest level of the day our life is evaporated..... God said we are all sinners and lost that's why Jesus Christ suffered on the cross, love! He looked down the portal of time and saw you and in love he took your place. Call on him now so when you leave this world you'll be with him and millions more that love you. And you'll never be sick again. Love you little buddy
Makayla, you need to invest in an alternating pressure pad system for your bed so that you can sleep through the night without interruption. It will also allow your mom and sister to sleep as well. You can find these simple air mattress systems for under $200.00 and they last for quite a while. I've been paralyzed for 21 years and have been sleeping all night since I discovered these awesome machines. The body really needs it's restorative rest for building your immune system along with many other benefits. Take care Makayla, God bless you sweetheart!
some APP (alt pressure pad) and LAL (low air loss mattress) are more quiet than others...keep this in mind before you buy. and dont rent one! they are super dirty and just gross. i worked in health care so i know.
@@clanorangechicken6648 Good advice! I've been like this since a motorcycle accident 21 years ago and the only pressure sore I ever got was in the hospital lying on a standard mattress. Since using the alternating pressure mattress I've never had another issue in all this time. Come to think of it the only time that I get bladder infections is in the hospital also... Seems to be a pattern there somewhere...
I was a care giver for my late wife for four years after an accident left her a quadriplegic. Watching this brought back all those memories. You stay strong. Glad you have mom and sis. No one gives care like family. One bit of advice is get a medical pressure relieving air mattress. It wiggles all night and makes a lot of noise but no more turning. I cared for her for 4 years with zero pressure sores.
I don't agree, my whole family out doesn't care for anything in my wheelchair - life and problems. My son, now 21 is the only one of all. He is wonderful. And I've got some few friends who sometimes have time. It's wonderful and a reason to be grateful and thankful if one has got a good and caring family.
Yes she is! As we get older we don’t have the team of people to help us anymore. For many of us our lives are cut short. Her hands will regain after she keeps up with therapy. Thinking positive is a huge part of getting these back.
Hi, Makayla! I’m a C6-7 quadriplegic, and I use the same kind of wheelchair as you with orange details on wheels 😊 I have functional triceps and a little bit of moving fingers so fortunately after years of rehab I am able to do my daily stuff independently. I even can change and feed my baby son. Thank you for your attitude and positive energy. God bless you!
@@AT-nq3sy yes, he was a miracle I didn't plan for. I carried full term but he was born slightly underweight. he's 6 months old now and developing according to his milestones
I used to be a CNA, taking care of someone is a full time job. Your family is wonderful for taking care of you. You are also an angel for your positivity 💛
My babydad has been a quad for 6 years and I used to help take care of him but I’m not able too anymore bc I have my own spinal issues to deal with and another spinal fusion from sports injuries but my babydaddy was hurt on a four wheeler in a horrible freak accident basically it’s so sad but our sob is our biggest blessing and motivation and god bless the caretakers and nurses who take care of the disabled bc I know how hard it is I’m also a nurse, disabled now too unfortunately but 🙏🙏💕💕🤪 live as if today is your last
As a nurse who has worked your unit at TMCP some years ago, can I just say that 1. You are doing SO GREAT! Mental attitude about all this is EVERYTHING!! And 2. Your family is doing a PHENOMENAL JOB of caring for you and helping you care for yourself. What a bunch of #mightygirls you are! I hope you will write your story. So many will benefit from your inner wisdom.
Wishing all the best. It's wonderful to have an excellent supportive family and the equipment to help with daily functions. My heart goes out to all and especially those struggling threw with little support.
I fractured my C3 three weeks ago, along with my jaw, cheek bones, nose and eye socket, I'm on the mend and can walk and function pretty normally. But watching you has made me realize I need an attitude check, because I've been in the "poor me" limbo for too long, Thank you Makayla, you are truly a blessing to me and others. Sending my best 🙂
It’s such a hard thing to go thru. Allow yourself to grieve and go thru all those emotions. Take your time, I hope by the time ur reading this you’re doing well
I am a nurse and do all this at work everyday, but can’t imagine doing this at home. It brought me to tears to see how supportive of a family you have. Sending prayers!!
… the love her sister has for her has me bawling my eyes out. “you’re petting her really good right now.” Her sister is the hype friend we all need. ❤️❤️😭
I know most people have good intentions and I may be wrong, but I can’t imagine saying things about her family caring for her like “wow I could never do that” or “I was a caretaker and it took such a toll so they must love you so much” would make her feel good. While their hard work and care should be appreciated, she is clearly not a burden to them and gives them just as much love as they give her. She has such an amazing energy and spirit it would be an honor and a privilege to care for her.
I agree! It's almost identical as saying to a mother who is grieving the loss of her child; "Oh, I just don't know how you've been able to survive! You are much stronger than I would be! I just know I wouldn't be able to survive!" You may think that you are being empathetic, but what it sounds like you are saying is; The love you have for YOUR child MUST be greater than the love SHE had for her child. The fact is, OF COURSE you would survive, you'd have no other choice- just like this devastated and heartbroken mom has HAD to do- especially when there are other children who still need their mom just as much as they did before their sibling died.
Hi! Nurse who has worked with a lot of brain and spinal cord injury patients here. I really hope it’s not too late for y’all to see this message because this video just popped up on my feed today. Giant time saving tip for compression hose….use a plastic grocery bag! Put the bag over her foot then the stocking will go on like BUTTER! Pull the bag out of the toe hole and adjust where needed! And you’re kind of recycling! One of the best tips I ever learned!
Oh my gosh, thanks for this! My mom (paraplegic; I live with her to help after work) stopped wearing hers because they bother her for some reason-I guess it annoys her how hard they are to put on? I keep telling her she should keep then on & offering to help, but she waives it off or resists. Will have to try this with her, and hopefully she’ll go back wearing them… Also, do you have any tips for compression socks that will avoid trapping or allowing fluid to pool down below her ankles? Her legs don’t swell, but the tops of her feet do. She tries to keep them propped up & lifted when she can, but it still doesn’t prevent it completely. She’s wheelchair bound, and even though she used to use the socks before, they never seemed to help with this much or else seemed to compress in the wrong spots and trap fluid.
Fun tip for the Compression Stocking! Since the foot is open at the end, if you put a plastic bag over her foot and up her leg THEN try to put on the hose, the hose will slide up the leg SUPER easily then you can pull the trash bag down from the foot and it slides out!! Saved me SO much time as a CNA taking care of rehab patients needing those things! They also have special tools you can buy that are the same concept, just not a plastic bag 😅
Oh my gosh, I worked as a personal care attendant and no one taught me this trick!! I wish I had known! Also, Makayla, you probably already have this, but they make these mattresses called alternating air pressure mattresses that help you to make sure you never rest on one spot too long. They're pretty cool!
I cared for quadriplegics for 10 years before I had my children. I've seen people at all stages of dealing with their injury. You are doing so so well. I am in awe of your mother and sister and family. Keep going. You're amazing.
When my dad was 16 he broke his neck in a car accident. He was originally paralyzed from the neck down but eventually regained use of his left arm and leg and partial use of his right arm and leg. Its amazing how much the human body can go through, I wish you all the luck on your recovery and the strength to follow through.
@Wasssup Dawwwg let's be more respectful please. There are medical procedures to help injured persons plus his accident could have happened after he had children.
To be 2 months out and have the ability to talk about this so candidly is amazing. You will get stronger and stronger, and some of those gadgets you will no longer need. God bless you!
You are the best Christmas gift I've ever received. At 60 I had a major stroke & divorce 2021. You're my inspiration and now hero. Thank you for posting.
Just want to lift you up. At 52 lost my wife to covid 19 & my job and home because I got really sick & lost my vehicle. My wife& I lost our home in hurricane Michael . & in August 2021 I lost my 56 year old brother to covid 19. I love God & he is good& i believe you & i will have a good year this year. "I don't deserve all this stuff" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? YOU DESERVE THE WORLD MISS NOBLE. You, your mom and your sister are the strongest women on his planet, all of the three of you are inspiring
My boyfriend of 4 years was a quad. We traveled a lot. He drove. We flew. We did a ton of stuff. He was so independent. It taught me so much. He passed. But later when I had a baby, it was easy as pie. Maybe God prepares us for future challenges. Paul had an awesome life and I never saw him depressed. This is a young woman who has a great spirit. God bless her Mom and sister. Thank you for this video, it will help so many of us!
@@Imbrokeaswell he had a modified steering wheel and hand brakes. He never did get an electric wheelchair because he didn't want to lose the mobility he had.
@slumpthetwink yes. Paul was able to drive with a modified car. He used his shoulders to move his arms, and had metal claws to help his fingers grasp. People who haven't worked with quads may not understand what they are able to do. It all depends on where the injury is.
Girl, I am literally crying watching this. And it's not because I feel bad for you. It's because of your positive attitude, and your gratitude. You have a heart of gold. ❤️
At least, she has a mobility on her right hand. I was taking care of a quad and he's very nice. He's an engineer and still goes to work with the help of someone. He only has a li'l mobility on his left hand, but he can feed himself, with a little assistance.
The fact that she still smiles fills me with so much joy, It’s completely incredible to see someone get a bad play in life but come out on top with a smile. You’re amazing. Along with your mother and your sister. I appreciate you guys so much. Keep being you! ♡♡♡

Been paraplegic since 2000, so I know about the every day struggles. But we ARE just as capable as anyone else just have to get a little help and find alternatives ways of doing it. Love your channel you're so inspiring!
My brother is a paraplegic. He has a piece on his bed that is similar to an air mattress that inflates and deflates periodically in different areas of the bed so he doesnt get bed sores. It has an air compressor that sits under the bed. Idk if this helps but it might be something to look into. Good luck on your journey!!!
My son also has one and it has really helped. He was just hospitalized for 3 weeks in November. The mattress had one built in. It looks very similar to the mattress she has, so she may already be using one.
Hi Makayla, I'm Steve. This video popped up in my recommended videos this morning and I'm so glad it did! I was born with Spina Bifida, and when I was born there weren't tests to show it like there are now. My parents were told I may be able to live to 15 years old. By God's amazing grace, I am now 48 years old! You have a God-given gift for cheerleading and I believe He has opened the door for you to have a much greater audience. Your beautiful smile is exactly what I needed today.

She is being upbeat & positive in sharing her story. If u have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. 🙄
@@mzee5226 I find your statement abrupt, clipped & just plain ignorant! Life has dealt this young lady a cruel blow, she has not let it diminish her spirit or dull her shine & appreciation of life. I am so inspired watching this beautiful young lady walk us thru the daily "doings" in her life now. Makala...you are blessed with an amazing sibling and mother. You can help so many young quadriplelegis by showing them this routine and how you are taking life day by day with such an amazing attitude. I see ZERO self pity here. You, my dear, are FABULOUS! xoxo
First of all, I am so sorry this happened to you. As a quadriplegic of 20 years, I can attest to it being one of the hardest things one can go through, for the person themselves and their family. But from watching your video, I can see you are a cheerful, upbeat young lady and a good attitude is something that will help you out so much! And your family seems wonderful and willing to help in whatever way they can, which is beautiful and amazing to see. If I can give some advice from my own personal experience, it would be these things: - keep up with your physical therapy as much as you can and with your home exercises daily. I hated therapy. I was in a car accident at 13 and from being in school most day then straight to therapy afterwards three times a week and getting home late, I grew to hate it. I just wanted to be a kid and do my own thing. I didn’t realize how important it was to keeping me strong and healthy until years after I stopped and I could no longer be in my wheelchair most of the day like I used to. I get tired after an hour or two and am in bed most of the time now. - Family is SO important! But there will be hard times. There will be resentment on both ends. But these will just be moments. Try to remember that in the heat of the moment. - If your mother is going to be your exclusive care provider like mine is, or your father, or any person in your family really, be sure to have someone outside your family, preferably a professional, trained nurse or caregiver, who knows how to take care of your every need in case of an emergency or even just if your mother or etc needs a little vacation for self care, which will become so important for her mental health because if we’re not careful, our parents will give their all in taking care of us and leave nothing for themselves. As an example of an emergency, my mother had to stay in the hospital for 4 days last year and was unable to care for me. My sister came from out of state with her family and could take care of me fine except for my going to the bathroom. We hadn’t taught her because we didn’t think we needed to and we had no one else on such short notice. We called a program that had caregivers but enrolling into it took days. Needless to say, it was a wake up call. - Talking to a licensed therapist could be so helpful for you and your family. This is such a life changing event that has happened, there are things, mentally and emotionally that need to be worked through. - For your schooling, make sure your needs are met. It is your right. I went to a small high school where everyone knew everyone and the teachers and students were great and they helped me with everything I needed, aides that walked with me to open doors, to write for me, to get me my books etc. The school provided a laptop with a touchpad mouse so I could do my work. But this wasn’t the case when I went to college. They said I couldn’t have a person that went with me to my classes because it would be like this person was taking the classes for free but that a student could take notes for me. I needed more since I couldn’t get the necessary books or materials for myself for each class. I was such a quiet, reserved kid that asking other students for help was a hurdle for me and I had to on a daily basis for doors that weren’t accessible, items that fell, etc. I ended up dropping out after two weeks. Make sure you receive all the help you need to succeed, make your voice heard and never give up on your goals and dreams. I’m sorry for the length of this comment! I wish you and your family all the best! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask ☺️

I love how "normal" this video is. You show what your life at the moment is like and what kind of adaptions and help you need, but your and your family's attitude and spirit make it like relatable, if that makes sense. I'm sure it's not always easy to be positive, but you seem like a strong and driven person.
I get what you mean, 4 minutes into the video and I’m amazed at the positivity the family radiates. It seems almost as if she’s been like this forever bc of how “normal” is seems. But it all just goes back to the attitude one has on life, if you go on your day with that mindset it just makes life worth so much more. She is strong for keeping that smile, and keeping a head held high and persevering. Much love to them
This video both broke my heart and mended it. It really put in perspective how petty differences within the family unit can be. Unconditional love and a positive attitude can go so much further than we care to realize.
I remember sleeping in those claw stoppers and TED hose. I was 20 when I broke my neck. I know it’s the hardest thing you will ever grow through, especially in the beginning. It’s been 20 years now, and it feels like it just happened. Please believe me….it gets better. I continued to get things back over the next few years, and even though I had to become a lefty, I can use one hand normally. Just KEEP PRACTICING. The more you do, the better it gets; I promise. One more thing…doctors do not know everything and they cannot predict anything either. I know you probably have thousands of people to talk to, but if you ever need to talk to someone who has been where you are, PLEASE contact me. Christie ☺️
Your positivity is inspiring. I’ve been suicidal for a while, but seeing your determination makes me feel renewed and empowered. Thank you for inspiring me.
What happened to your sister? Did she get better? I saw a video of when Mickla was in the hospital 😢❗ It was so sad to see what she had to go through 😢❗ She like a lot of those whom become quads at first go through a depression and being someone who myself is disabled and have to use a wheelchair a lot of the time I can so understand 😢❗ I just got told that I am just getting worse. It seems that my bones are disappearing. I need to have surgery on my neck again to refuse it. But this time they said that they would have to do more of my spine. That means going from the base of my skull down to between my shoulders. But they can't because my bones aren't strong enough right now. I have to get infusions to try and build up the bones. Right now I run the risk of becoming a quad or even die. Because the fusion they had done already has clasped on itself. And there's just so much that can happen. I have a what I call a grocery list of things going on with me. But I try my best to try and stay out of the wheelchair if at all possible 😜. So I know what it takes to do just the simplest things to others but to you it's like a huge milestone! She has come such a long way. I'm so proud of her. Keep up the great work kiddo 👍😏❗

This is the first video I have ever commented on to be honest. You, young lady, are one of the most inspirational people I have ever come across. You stay positive and stick with all the things you are adapting to. Keep smiling that gorgeous smile x. You and your family are amazing. From me in the UK I would like to wish you a merry Christmas and all the luck possible for the new year x
not sure why this vid is on my suggestions but, im currently at home with multiple broken bones that are not healing.... Currently in a bad state of mind from the thought I maybe now disabled.... Saw your smile as I read the title and thought im gonna watch this.... If you can be smiling as a quadriplegic then there must be hope for me.... If you can be smiling, then so can I..... Such a breath of fresh air to see you so happy.... You have wonderful family members around you with a great family vibe.... Hats off to you all. Makayla, thanks for giving me hope. Sending you love and best wishes from the UK 💌🙏

As a woman who had a neck injury, and deals with often disabling health conditions, I felt so impressed with how you seem to be handling your situation. Your family are Hero’s! I wish you increased health & always a positive outlook; not always easy!

“Heroics of daily living”; honestly, Makayla, I can’t think of a superlative that expresses my esteem for you… your accomplishments, but even more, your attitude & desire to be helpful to others. Kudos to you & all the people in your life who’ve helped you become the remarkable human being you are today. I hope Jesus is one of those who is your Friend … &constant companion.
I’m 10 minutes into your video and JUST realized your the sweet Makayla I’ve been praying for! I’m a former competitive cheerleader and current competition cheer coach/choreographer. I heard about your story back when your injury happened and have been lifting you up in prayer ever since. You have such a contagious sweet spirit. You and your family have warmed my heart so much. Stay strong sweet girl!!
The attitude of your whole family is incredible - I love how you find all the cool parts of your adaptive equipment to appreciate. I have some serious health issues myself and I can only aspire to be more like you. Been trapped in some cycles of bitterness over what I lost recently and it’s refreshing - and kind of a wake up call- to see your attitude here
3 years ago my wife had a spinal stroke which completely paralyzed her making it impossible for her to take care of herself.

@@clanorangechicken6648
Good advice!
Those pads are AMAZING. We had one for my brother and it made a world of difference.
They are used everywhere in Healthcare in Denmark, where a citizen has to be in a bed for long time... they are free over here

Yes she is! As we get older we don’t have the team of people to help us anymore. For many of us our lives are cut short. Her hands will regain after she keeps up with therapy. Thinking positive is a huge part of getting these back.

Me too!! I cried through the entire video.
You are absolutely right! Imagine having a sibling like this! ❤️ So much love
This is the vokest comment I've seen this 5 Months

Good grief. I'm a fulltime caretaker, and I love those comments.

You can really tell how much she loves and how well it reciprocates with her family. Infectious personality. Beautiful inside and out.
Absolutely , without the bag they are almost an impossible task !
I hope she read this
We used baby powder in the nursing home to put on the compression hoses
Oh my gosh, thanks for this! My mom (paraplegic; I live with her to help after work) stopped wearing hers because they bother her for some reason-I guess it annoys her how hard they are to put on? I keep telling her she should keep then on & offering to help, but she waives it off or resists. Will have to try this with her, and hopefully she’ll go back wearing them…
Also, do you have any tips for compression socks that will avoid trapping or allowing fluid to pool down below her ankles? Her legs don’t swell, but the tops of her feet do. She tries to keep them propped up & lifted when she can, but it still doesn’t prevent it completely. She’s wheelchair bound, and even though she used to use the socks before, they never seemed to help with this much or else seemed to compress in the wrong spots and trap fluid.
I really wish I would've known this when I worked in assisted living.
That is a big help. Some brands come with an open toe sleeve that you can just pull off after you get it on.
Yes! I was going to suggest the same thing. CNA for many years here. The bag method really makes them go on SO much more easily!
Oh my gosh, I worked as a personal care attendant and no one taught me this trick!! I wish I had known! Also, Makayla, you probably already have this, but they make these mattresses called alternating air pressure mattresses that help you to make sure you never rest on one spot too long. They're pretty cool!
Legit was gonna write this tip down! Such a life changer on an elective surgical ward with 20 patients needing new stockings on every morning!
Absolutely best tip to get the socks on. I came here to leave the exact comment 😊.

If I can give some advice from my own personal experience, it would be these things:
- keep up with your physical therapy as much as you can and with your home exercises daily.

8 years as a quadriplegic here. Treat everything as rehab even if it's just petting the cat. 👍
Cats are a great comfort 💯
I’m a Rottweiler owner. Definitely agree with the cat route. You don’t want a 100+ lbs. dog on your lap. lol not enough compression in the world. Would take a body cast 😅 “Here boy!”
I hope you’re doing ok. 🙏🏻
I’ve been a C3 quadriplegic for over 15 years. I have a wife and 5 children. Stay strong and positive. Always try to be independent and adapt. Most important, live to the best of your current capabilities and let go of the past. God bless you.
I could not stop tearing up during this video. This girl is so gorgeous. Such a vibrant outlook on life. Such an energetic and loving personality. Ive never met her and yet i want to hug her. I feel like such a piece of shit for being depressed with my life and I’ve never had to endure anything close to this. You are so strong and you are an inspiration to me. Thank you for making this video and shedding some perspective on my life. You are so beautiful in and out and your mom and sister are too. I have so much respect for you guys you just have no idea. Keep fighting girl never give up you got this. I am so rooting for you!❤
My grandmother got polio in her 20's. She went on to get married and had 4 children.she always had a smile and cheered up everyone who entered her room to visit her, you remind me of her.
Impressive. What a wonderful character she must have been.
Won’t lie, the effort that it takes you to do ordinary things, brought a tear to my eye, keep up the good work and stay strong
Sad
We take a lot of things for granted. I’m absolutely humbled by her mindset!
Truly incredible young lady. Makes me ashamed when I feel sorry for myself over nothing. Keep working. The world is yours.
there will always be people who have bigger problems, obstacles, etc. and people who have smaller ones. Don’t let that invalidate yours.
My younger sister Carol was a quad for 43 years....auto accident. She just died after 2 years of living hell. I miss her so much. This brings back memories of what she went through everyday. Carol is an angel now. She visited me a week after she passed. She showed me her small wings.
How beautiful
I am so sorry for your loss.. it must of been so heart warming that she came to see you and showed you her beautiful wings ❤ sending a hug
Makayla is so strong. I’m in a wheelchair too. This video stopped me from continuing to seriously consider suicide. Thank you.
Reading this at 5am hoping you're OK. 💛🇬🇧
Hi. I can't imagine the challenges you must face daily. I hope you can find a way to focus on the joys and pleasures the world still holds for you. Your mind and heart are still strong and fully capable of expressing yourself and loving. Love to you. ❤
I'm glad that this video helped you! Take care❤️
Much love and support
Please stay strong and get help, if you haven’t already. I’m sure that being in a wheelchair is a struggle, especially if it’s a new/newer injury, but you can do it. There are so many people in wheelchairs that live a happy and full life. It is very possible. You are loved. You are important. Please don’t let your circumstances defeat you.
I don’t know why this was on my feed but I needed this more than ever. You have such an amazing, positive attitude throughout all of this. I’ve spent most my day on verge of a mental breakdown over such trivial things in comparison yet somehow here you are, going through this and are so positive. You are truly an inspiration. Your family is beautiful and the love is amazing. Thank you for sharing this ❤️
Keep it together, baby! All the best. Cheers!

She has such a good attitude! Bless this girl and her family!
Much love to them
I love how she is always in good spirits. She doesn’t let anything hold her back.
That sounds wrong lol
Yeah she probably get the best drugs
I’m pretty sure we just see the happy parts.
The confidence too! I had surgery on my neck and would literally refuse to go anywhere w/ my neck brace lol
It's because the family has money. Imagine if they were poor
This video both broke my heart and mended it. It really put in perspective how petty differences within the family unit can be. Unconditional love and a positive attitude can go so much further than we care to realize.
or can bare to realize..
Me too I appreciate this young lady AND her family.

Christie ☺️
So ,sweet Christie. I hope all is well now.
God bless you to Christie
Your positivity is inspiring. I’ve been suicidal for a while, but seeing your determination makes me feel renewed and empowered. Thank you for inspiring me.

Hello from a stranger 🤗 just for living in this world, you’re so strong already 💕
You are so loved! ❤️✌️

My Aunt became a quad at 16. I was her caretaker for a few years. Her positive attitude and love for life was infectious!
You remind me of her.
What an amazing attitude you have. I am sure there are tough days but you can inspire so many.

She's so beautiful. She definitely made me think about life and how people have it just a little worse then I do. The attitude she has and that beautiful smile is amazing ❤❤❤❤
Yes indeed.. her positivity and gratefulness is unbelievable and really makes me examine my own motivation and perspective on life. She seems to be more full with life than most other people.... It really is a gift to have positive people like this around.
Love how she is so positive but you find a way to interject some negativity into this
I'm watching this on christmas eve and it was a privilage to meet this wonderful girl. You're such an angel who irradiates positivity. I realize how stupid I am because I keep complaining about little things in my life, and then I saw her smiling, how brave she is. Loved your vibe💫 blessings
Your life can change in a moment..now, it's whole new world. She's lucky to have a supportive family.
My little brother was a quadriplegic the last 9 years of his life but could only move his head. I took care of him in my home for 3 years before it got too much for me to handle. Im 100% disabled veteran myself. May he rest in peace. I pray you recover and bless your family as well.
Sorry to hear that. Wonder why life is so cruel. I am partially disabled, with anxiety and depression. Struggling everyday.
