That's because birds are dinosaurs, so calling them closely related would be a misnomer. Therefore, crocodilians are indeed the closest living relative to dinosaurs, including birds.
Crocodiles, Sharks or even Turtles are not close to dinosaurs, but existed along with dinosaurs. They didn't even change their appearance that much when you look at Deinosuchus or the Megalodon etc.
@@MacCheekz1990 Crocs are close in the sense they are also archosauria. So birds/non-avian dinosaurs and crocs are part of the same clade. Their last shared common ancestor probably lived more than 250 mya. Birds btw also lived alongside non-avian dinosaurs since the earliest bird evolved during the Jurassic period.

This bird is so majestic.
Yes
These birds are from Uganda and they need to be kept there they are not found anywhere but in Uganda and when you take them out of their primary habitat what little chance they have a breeding will be little to none they also breed like dinosaurs they lay eggs like once a year please quit taking them out of Uganda.
@@amenhalleluyah1111 I agree, they should not be taken where they are from. It’s what they’re used to. It’s their environment, you take them somewhere else it’s a culture shock, and yes animals get that too. So you are completely right and I agree!
Its a bird tho

The bow and shake is actually their courtship display when trying to find a mate, or to other Shoebills they are affectionate with. For humans, the bow pretty much translates to a display of respect and affection, which is why they always encourage you to bow back at them! So when a Shoebill does that in these videos, now you know what it means :-)

@@ryanwalter5824 yeah it’s just funny how it translates to the opposite in hooman language 🥲
😍 She is a shoebill stork (also known as the whale-headed stork). The sound she is making is called "bill clattering". The bow gesture is done as a greeting. Maybe she is blowing kisses at her keeper 💋. They live in the swamps of Africa, and there are only about 3000-5000 left. Approximately 5 feet tall, and weighing up to 15lbs they can actually fly, but not very far. 💝 She is an amazing bird! The tattoo is quite awesome 👍.
I've never heard of this bird
Thank you so much for documenting what I wanted to know! Love, love, love 🌎
Thanks for this information
Their bills look cool and have a respectable size to match
15 lbs? I would have thought them to be heavier!

How have I never heard about this magnificent creature.
But you probably have seen them. Remember the Loftwing Birds in Zelda Skyward Sword? The Loftwing is inspired by the Shoebill.
Tarzan rides one if you’ve seen the Tarzan movie.
I know shoebill because there's a waifu version of her
Same here
Imagine how incredibly amazing species had been there that just gone extinct before humans
Its not humans who came up with the invetion of asteroid 66 million years ago, when our ancetors were rats. Blame the aliens for that invention.
They say theres billions of species well never know about because around 90 percent of all fossil records are already gone.
Humans are probably the most unique

What a beautiful and magnificent bird. I've never seen one before. She has a lovely caw as well. God made all of these beautiful creatures just for us! (It's my hope, in heaven, that they'll all be there and they'll talk.) No, I'm not crazy, I just grew up loving animals. They're innocent and so much more loving than most people are.
Some religious people think of animals as things to be used however we like. Glad you are not this way....
@@deathorb Thank you. I've noticed that the more "kooky" a Christian is they think this way. My FIL is one. "Animals are for us to eat and we have dominion over them." He won't get his dogs fixed etc. and he disgusts me. I love all these lovely things God "custom made" for us to admire and wonder over. They're intricate pieces of living art.

People say the crocodile or alligator is the closest living relative to the Dinosaurs but this bird truly looks prehistoric.
That's because birds are dinosaurs, so calling them closely related would be a misnomer. Therefore, crocodilians are indeed the closest living relative to dinosaurs, including birds.
Technically speaking all birds are literally dinosaurs
who is saying that lol... birds are literally theropod dinosaurs
The fact this bird still exists is a miracle. I really hope this bird never goes extinct.
EDIT: THANK YOU FOR 1K LIKES I CAN'T BELIEVE IT :)
I'm thinking they are endangered 😢
Sadly, they're already categorized as a vulnerable species, just a single step away from being an endangered species.
In the wiki they categorized as vulnerable, first phase of threatened, pretty surprising because I thought it would go extinct in the wild or 3th phase of threatened
