    Hello ASL Heroes!!!
Hey, I could really use your help.
If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com.
You can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here right now and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!”

    Thanks!

p.s. Want to have your very own USB drive with four semesters worth of ASL instruction for just $79.95? See "SuperUSB" in the ASLUniversity bookstore at:

Take care and love to you all.
    :)

Really helpful and challenging 😊. These teachings, teach me to pay attention and figure out conversations. I tend to be lazy and cheat when words are present. Thank you for doing these ASL videos ( hands up applauding)

      Denise,
      Thanks for the nice feedback.
It would be interesting to do a study in which 100 students are provided the the ASLU playlist videos WITH captions and 100 students provided the videos WITHOUT captions and then give both groups various tests at the end of the series to see which group ends up actually benefiting the most. It is my opinion that such a study would tend to support your own findings (in your comment) and show that the students who had to pay attention to the signing (instead of just blissfully reading captions) would have developed more real-world sign-reading ability.
Hmmm... maybe someday I'll get a grant and try that out!
