Sacred Warrior playing at Cornerstone 1988.
This is not my footage. I got it from former White Throne magazine staff photographer, Darth Creek. This is a few months before their debut "Rebellion" was released, so unless you had their demo tape, this was probably the first time hearing this amazing band.

I've seen them twice, both times in 1989. They always seemed to get the Queensryche comparison, but that's only because of Rey Perra's vocals. Maybe early Queen of the Reich era of QR, but Sacred Warrior had more of an energy them, being driven by Tony Velasquez attacking his drumkit. Great band!

I heard aboot the band and them playing Cornerstone '88, but didn't get to hear them until "Rebellion" came out a few months later...but I did see Cornerstone '89 and they did "The Flood" with Roger, Larry, and Doug from Vengeance, since they played that year too. Playing in the same hot-ass building!!! GAH!

I used a Sony 8mm HandyCam to record most of the videos I've uploaded here and the sound is great. So great that Steve Rowe and Soundmass wanted to use the audio from my video and use it for the recent reissue of Post Momentary Affliction. Rob Colwell from Bombworks mastered it, they sent me a copy of the finished product (Disc 2 "Live 1994") and it sounds really good. Even got a "Audio courtesy of..." credit so that was pretty cool!
