A lovely bit of practical problem solving, fitting in something you didn't plan for. This is the kind of thing that keeps me viewing your videos, it's not just the actual projects it is the way of thinking.
How beautiful are your design details and how to correct flaws that bothersome laundry problems brings! I'm short and use a wooden backscratcher to remove wash from the bottom of my washer. Call it fishing for laundry😉. We make our own special detergent using the drill to mix it! Love the dryer racks...our's: a bungee cords with clips, or storing garden trellis to hang clothes during winter months.

Also in my old house we had when the four now grown kids were still at home. We had the big laundry next to the garage and stackable washer and dryer in every closet. So everyone did their own laundry.

I got a set of plugs that are similar and I plugged in all the lamps in each room. Then when I enter I can turn on all the lamps easily from one small controller with on off buttons for each lamp. What a treat! I love light in a big way and these work like a charm.

Put up a clothes rod (or 2, if needed) above your sink for empty hangars. It will make hanging stuff up and only having 1 hand to grab a hangar SO much easier!! But I'm in LOVE with your laundry room!!!! I wish mine was big enough to do all that!!! Great job!!!

I have one of those remote switches for my lamp. I don't have a nightstand in my room (although the cat tree next to my bed sometimes doubles as one when I put my drink on it lol) so I have my lamp on my dresser and the switch next to my bed. I love it and would definitely recommend it.

Our laundry space is ugly and not set up to really make the job easy like that, so thanks for the inspiration and showing that a little thought/design and straight forward construction can transform that space. Hey Anna ! you could put a dowling rod in that bottle shelf for you empty hangers Or an over the sink dowling rod and magnet handles for the special supplies cupboard for when it the outlets need to accessed for longer times. Amazing area.

I have those light switches ALL over my house They are amazing for xmas/fairy lights than never come with on-off switches. I have fairy lights everywhere.
A popular one on Amazon says that if you have more than one, the remote will turn EVERYTHING off or on at the same time. Be sure to make your next few the type with "channels" so they operate different lights!
We have upper cabinets in our laundry room that I HATE. Cannot wait to rip them out and build the floating shelf project! I was literally going to go to IKEA to buy a drying rack, but instead we’ll do this. So useful! Thank you!

Hi, we had planned for a laundry chute, and actually line the laundry room up with the upstairs bath to make all this happen. BUT .... our kids are all still sleeping in our room, and sharing our closets, so we didn't add the chute in yet. Maybe when the move upstairs we will have to cut it in.
Oh, what a great idea!! I love that - I want those in my laundry area too! WOW! I do what I cal par dry (partial drying), so I hange everything on a rack to complete drying. Thank you for this great idea!

A chute is a very simple and yet so useful addition to the laundry aspect of existence.
