  • @MFEGoingDeep an awesome way to kickoff November today with a very interesting dive! With much colder water temperatures and the spawning season at hand I was able to get some good footage of some nice lake trout in less than 10’ of water so clarity was excellent. After following them for a minute or so they brought me into a school of what I first thought was bigger lake trout. Turns out it was some of the biggest suckers that I’ve ever seen! I was certainly not expecting that and made the most of it with getting to see one of the lake trout actually swimming with them for a moment which is ironic since suckers are a popular live bait for lake trout and these things were bigger than the lake trout was. Also getting to watch the suckers feeding which answered a question I had since I had been noticing lots of small divots in the bottom and I couldn’t figure out what was doing that. Well now we all know! My fingers were a little numb from the cold water after I had finished but nonetheless a beautiful morning at Schoodic Lake! 👍🐟

This video is awesome! My family’s camp is literally just down the road a few camps down. I fish this area all the time in the summer from my kayak, and I often catch tons of bass, never knew lake trout spawned around there. Very cool to see what the areas I fish in look like, I swear I even recognize a few of the landmarks and structures from above the water!

I wouldn’t be surprised if you recognize some of this! The drone has a 200 meter tether and I covered a good amount of that area out front! Glad you liked the video and having that different perspective of the water you like to fish 👍
