Double Layer Protection from Relay attack theft - Ghost Immobiliser & Metatrak S5 Deadlock

All Modern Vehicles are at risk of being stolen. Keyless Entry vehicles are the most vulnerable and daily thefts occur all over the country. This video consists of 2 layers of security. One layer is an insurance approved tracker with immobilisation. Second layer is the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser. Tune into this video to get a better understanding of how these products work.

This seems great but maybe a bit overkill for my 2011 Toyota Yaris.
The biggest pro here imo is the protection against relay attacks if you've got a keyless car.

It is a great security addition against relay attacks but it also protects you against keytheft & OBD key programming theft & in the case you get hijacked out of the vehicle you can immobilise the vehicle from your mobile phone (only once the car is stationary & switched off though!)

@@johnkleiscaraudio Thanks. I think I'd consider it it I had a car that's more "at risk" of being stolen
I can see it being useful for ANY keyless entry car, regardless of how cheap but realistically, if someone is going to steal a car, they're going to steal my neighbour's BMW with keyless entry rather than my Yaris.
That and I wfh most of the time hence having such a relatively rubbish car (ie: not needing to drive that much)

You did forget to say, that when you put it in service mode,,,,, the car cannot be driven more then 15 miles as engine will shut off,, also if they speed more then 35mph,,, the engine will again shut off, & will not restart,?

That’s not true. It’s not 15 miles. It’s 15 mins of driving without stopping and it doesn’t cut the engine off, that’s not a feature. It will simply stop the car from restarting as it will exit service mode. But thanks for the comment, we will be more in depth on how service mode works on another ghost installation!

@@johnkleiscaraudio don't mean to argue but in this setup I assume you've got the standard meta track S5 tracker and are using the ghost 2 for canbus immobilisation. Given the deadlock does both from one device I was asking why this installation chose the ghost + tracker, as surely the deadlock will provide/do both ?

@faisalfaruque2849 I would say never assume ha! the caption states this has a Meta Deadlock and in the video we also explain it has a Meta Deadlock Version.
In short, our clients sometimes want additional layers of security so in this instance we had the Ghost & the MetaTrak Deadlock meaning we have two different locations of immobilisations doing digital blocking and also a physical cut style immobiliser. Far better than just one and not the other 👍🏼
Always better to have 2 products than one (if you can afford it or justify the cost that is)
