I have a tip, you can mention it in the video if you want, because I think it is useful. When you create an army and you have to go to the other end of the map, it is annoying to hear the constant moaning that people are hungry and leave to look for food, the easiest way is to go to a designated place, build a warehouse and assign it as an outpost, then assign all the people from the army to the outpost and they will come themselves no problems with food, in the meantime, when they go to the warehouse, teleport to your village and bring them food and necessary things to the newly built warehouse
Just putting the buildings down, is what made them walk to them to deliver materials for building. You have to go into the building overview menu and set them to disabled instead of the 1-9 priority. They even start walking to fast transport signs, if you don't disable them and take to long in building it.
Yes, I see what you're saying, I did a new settlement today and didn't realise you don't have to build them to assign them to a new settlement. So, like what you're saying, but find them in the building list right away and assign them to the new one.
After having played a while I have a quick tip for you now. Set down the house first then immediately go to the menu and if you click settlement then buildings. It opens to main settlement and there is an other tab that’s building under construction, change the tent to the new outpost name. Now place down the stockpile and the mining building. Then check the menu to make sure but the other two should auto apply to the mining settlement. That way even as you’re building it the npc won’t travel between. Side tip in the other tab signs are also in there so I have an outpost called personal, I changed all my signs to that so the other tab is just places under construction. I also have a couple chests in main base in that as well so I can have stuff stacked without npc taking it.
Hi. I agree with you, although this highlights a problem with early access games where things are subject to change, making any significant effort in writing tutorials that will potentially soon be redundant. For example, I play Star Citizen, and due to the constant updates, reworking of old gameplay system combined with the introduction of new gameplay loops, much of the earlier tutorials and how to videos are no longer relevant, whatsoever. At this time, I am thoroughly enjoying Bellwright. It's been a long time since I have genuinely been excited to log into a game. I look forward to seeing where the devs take the game. Be well.
@@Oinnelstan I agree, And understand. As frustrating as it can be, I am still thoroughly enjoying the game. Sinking over 40 Hours into it already with no signs of slowing down. Also video guides help us understand what makes the AI tick and how to get them doing what you need them to do. As stated already this can all change. I just wanna know how to get it working now while I'm playing it 😄
Thanks guys, yes I am loving this game and will be putting in as much time as I can to bring good tips and updates . I think this game has amazing potential and is severely underrated.
When you place outpost buildings you should always assign them to outpost immediatly. Your mining hut was still part of the main settlement and drawing workers, after you assigned the housing and the stockpile. The construction side should be in the building list too and you can reassign it, you shouldn't wait, especially when the building takes forever.
Another fun fact about outposts. You can use them as exploits to reduce raid difficulty. If you reassign your whole base as an outpost it will have level 1 raids. I found this out when I planned to build up a new main base and turned my beginner base into an outpost. xD
Created mining camp, assigned worker to new camp and all buildings in that camp to that settlement, but my worker keeps trying to deliver flax to the first camp. Any ideas?
Not to sure, I usually try save and reload, or make companion and then let them follow me for a bit , put them back to worker. Release them as you get your renown back and then rehire right away?
Automatic but it seems the goods have to be in a storage, not workplace building. And my people somehow deliver more than i decided to do, i said deliver 5 ore daily, if they have 10 they will deliver 10. Strange
I can't seem to grasp the specific amount you set in containers and how to set up priority between say having the logging station trickle down to a specific chest that should always contain at least 10 wood for fueling cooking etc. with the priority set on delivery etc. A tutorial on that would be nice. I'm too lazy to experiment myself :p
@@WombatGaming oh wow ok!! I want to say thanks so much for all of your tips and tricks! Could you maybe do a series or video like a walkthrough of how to properly set up base and organization for storage and jobs for workers .. what is efficient and not efficient ways of setting up your base ?
this game looks cool, but it would be so much better if you can build and design your own buildings and towns. I wonder if they plan to add that in the future so we can build a building from out own imagination?
If you only put one guy in that settlement, why build him a hut.? A hut accommodates two people, a camp only one.. As far as I know, there is no increased productivity.?
@hrd4mud I never said personal hut.. I just said hut.. I assumed people would know that it was a mining hut, since I commented on a video detailing that subject..
I've seen this before and it didn't work... but maybe I'm the stupid one because he didn't say that we will add all the buildings to the new village, I only set up the tent because it was in his video :) and I really didn't think about that. the dude is just lying to himself thx the video
although it's quite disappointing for me that you have to suffer so much in this game with such a big map I don't even want to know what will happen when you go to the corner of the map with 50 soldiers. mining and building are just a pain, unfortunately I don't enjoy it and I'm not satisfied with the management of the workers either, that hurts too, I'm disappointed in the game... if it didn't have 40 hours, I'd get a refund...

Finally found a video on BellWright outpost.... It helps.... Thank you....
Glad it helped! thanks for watching
Thanks for the great tutorial on mining. Please continue the series please. Great job on this enjoyable game😊
Thanks, will do! More to come!
Thank god we have a hero making guides. This game is so big. Pretty poor explanations given in game for alot of this stuff. 🙏

really well put together mate nice job!

You're videos are great. Always simple but with just enough detail.
Glad you like them! I like to have them not to in-depth that you fall a sleep but just enough

It fixed itself. Called worker as companion, then set back to worker. All is well. Thanks
Thanks this helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
Does it take up an npc to do the deliveries or are they automatic ?
Automatic. It happens every day at midnight.
Automatic but it seems the goods have to be in a storage, not workplace building. And my people somehow deliver more than i decided to do, i said deliver 5 ore daily, if they have 10 they will deliver 10. Strange
Yes, auto, great feature, and worth building an outpost for sure.

Working on a storage and transfers video atm
is there anything that helps with food spoilage? like that keeps food longer?
Not until you get the cellar, need to liberate a few towns

I haven’t purchased this game yet. Can you do a little video on good locations to start your settlement?
First video, go's over starter tips, including a good start location .
Oh my God, I always delivered it the wrong way around and thought the system was screwed for probably 2 weeks now. So stupid 😂 anyway, thanks
How do you keep your workers at these outpost functional, especially in high bandit areas? Set them to not hold their ground?
I just use high lvl ones and give them good weapons. They seem to survive fine.
i just have to ask how do you hunt? you cant sneak on the game
When you have the bow in hand, you can ready the bow and draw when you want to shoot. Just needs practice.
no way...
for what...like many things

Personal hut that’s for you not an npc. Tents are lowest for npc

Those points are part of the realism and whole theme of the game. Should've done better research before buying.
