I won a skein from the Yarn Randomizer's channel, which is so cool! Plus I got a Re:Design Project 10 case which is so beautifully made. Perfect for traveling with a medium-sized project. I can recommend Brooklyn Tweed's new book of knit and crochet blanket patterns. Not all the patterns are new, now in book form with great charts and details for making a variety of sizes. I got it from the public library, but may need a personal copy. Your Painted project is looking great.

Hi Gary, I also made the beautiful Hyperfixated Shawl, but I was a bit frustrated with the weird angle of the bottom part due to lack of increases. It annoys me so much I never wear the shawl, which is a shame because it is very pretty made with Hobbii Teatime yarm, which I love very much. Watching your version of the shawl I decided to frog the bottom part and make increases on the sides and in the middle. It makes a big difference, much better! Happy New Year! I love the West patterns. I have West patterns but haven't mustered up the courage to try one. They kinda scare me but making socks did too at one time! I'll get there! I love chocolate and cherry and I bet those candy bars are delicious! I'll have to give Amazon a peek! I am alone so New Year's Eve will be me, my yarn and my hook.

I also have 2 CALs I'm doing behind the scenes... one with my "sis" Michi and then one with Laura Twisting Stitches (it's a beginner mosaic blanket) I also would loooove to De-stash some of my yarn which I am in the process of doing and will be donating it to schools, women's shelters and assisted living facilities...
