What was the issue with the lower trim piece bud? We had one where the screws had been overtightened and pulled out, but they binded back on, looked like a lot of reinforcing, fillering and smoothing, had it cracked along the face/back panel?

Yes, both of lower trims has few cracks so thats why they need reinforcing.

How did you get the off the audi logo and the big ring surrounding it?

Carefully just pops off with small screwdriver etc, but those will crack super easily.
