Wood Duck Trail Cam Videos | Feeding & Territorial Fighting

Always fun to capture wood duck on trail cam videos at this small pond in the woods. The drake (male) wood duck is a stunningly beautiful bird with a myriad of colours.
These three trail cam videos show a male and female wood duck feeding and preening. But a minute later, another drake shows up on the scene and a territorial dispute ensues.
Looking forward to checking this trail cam this week to see what else it has captured.

Am I correct in thinking that the pond is only there because it's so early in the season?

Thanks! This small pond does stay wet most of the season, although it does seem to dry up completely in the fall. Saying that, water levels definitely change due to rain amounts and summer heat. Each year seems to be a little different.
It is quite high right now.
