It's 7:06 am, I went to sleep at 2:44 am, woke up at 5:00 am. I was working on a little bit of Set Theory and then Functions of a Complex Variable, I was supposed to work on WSL and customizing my Arch, I did niether as I had to drop off my mother to the bus terminal. Idk what I am typing, but this is what god intended. Good morning.

As people says: Arch is a distro to the ones with free time.
It's hard to troubleshoot and customize when you haven't time even to sleep.

hello ! i am a first time tiling window manager user and wanted some help .... i wanted to know how much ram does a tiling window manger uses .i use flutter to make apps using android emulators and it uses ALOT of ram and im limited to just 8g of ram for now. i need to save as much ram as i can ..... also how difficult will it be to get started with tiling window managers and how can i make the process easy for myself ???

Good question, I think that the actual window managers usually use between 250-500MB of ram after you set it up. YOu can probably get it down to 200 MB, but most of your RAM usage is going to come from your browser. It's pretty easy to get started on twm like i3 or bspwm. You can usually get those up and running within a couple of hours if you have never done that. I'm going to release a video tomorrow that is going to show my social media places you can follow me if you'd like some help setting up your tiling window manager.

@@linux-dev-labs thank u ! im looking into browsers as well but for now i think i need to get a window manager or probably xfce ( whichever one takes less ram ) i REALLY need to save every mb of ram or my system will start to lag so much. another reason for the lag is vs code , my ide. it takes alot of ram these days and im better off changing that as well.

@@rudrakshprasad724 xfce isn't a terrible choice, and there are things you can do to make it run less memory. Such as, you can put a command openbox --replace and then it will run the openbox wm in the background instead of xfwm4.

I should make a video on how to run openbox inside of XFCE. In fact, you can run most window managers such as pekwm, openbox, and fluxbox inside XFCE, and it's easy to set up.

Dude, where am I on YT? What's an Openbox? Why is rock n roll being played?

What do you mean, where am I? Openbox is a Window Manager in Linux. I'm assuming that if you are wanting to rice your xfce-panel inside your gtk.css file that you know what openbox is. Also, why not have rock n roll being played. Is it illegal or something?

@@linux-dev-labs I guess he's not a linux user that pops up here somehow. To an average person that's too much in a row to understand.
