GARDENING/MICRO-FARMING... It is becoming way more than a hobby. I have gone from a hobby to self-sustaining micro-farmer and branching out into consulting and eComm nest year ... No-Till, Vermaponics, KNF, Aquaponics, etc
Volunteering, learning languages, swimming. These are also good things to do
I truly believe you are right. Learning to swim is a necessary skill to have as a man. Also, learning a language or two can get you long way in life.

Interesting! My favorite hobby is travel and sightseeing. I live in the USA and have been to 49 of the 50 states. I love to go to museums and zoos, aquariums, and gardens and see all the things that God created. I also enjoy railroading.

@@wush7985way to take such an extreme stance to this. It’s such a great outlet for people in so many ways. Whether it’s for dealing with anger, depression, loneliness…or just straight up bored. Too much of anything can be a problem which is why he even made sure to let on that, yes…it can be addicting. Doesn’t mean every person who plays video games is now an addict. I’m saying this as a person who probably does play too much. I just won’t pretend my problem with it applies to everyone else as well.

Training your dog, walking 5 miles a day is a lifestyle habit but I love it like a hobby as I get to buy n collect new sneakers, walking gear like go’s watches, ect. Photography is a great hobby you can earn $ with.

Archery. Is a great sport. There are many types of tournaments you can get involved in and you don't have be all the serious. You can join a team, hunt or compete of any level and it's a great way to meet new people

I really like the range and variety of hobbies you presented. I do a number of them myself. However, I don’t think any of these hobbies are just for men. Women do a lot of these activities as hobbies too.

I used to like fishing but I'm not as crazy about it. Once in a while is fun, I guess it's because I got into mountain biking. There are some really nice fun and challenging trails near me. I do it as much as I can . What bothers me is that I'd also like to do something more. I don't want to spend a lot but I would like to get a nice kayak. Life kinda started to sick and I started smoking weed even though I had not for so long. So I started trying new things and found those things I like but I still have not kicked my habbit and wish I would.

HEY IF YOU ARE BORED, LEARN TO SOLVE A RUBIK'S CUBE, no but seriously it is a fun hobby that's easy to get into that can becomes very grindy if you want it to, you can learn and advance slowly or quickly, and there is always something to learn or improve. Finally, the hobby opens a gate to a community not seen by many since only 5% of the world considers themselves cubers. Just give it a try.

Daniel: I appreciate all the examples of hobbies that you stated. I love cooking and it would be a great hobby except that my family never wants to eat anything more complicated than quick to fix frozen meals. I live in the same house as my wife, my son and daughter in law and my 3 granddaughters. Naturally they all have different tastes. Perhaps I should give up the idea of cooking as a hobby and look at something else?
