Tawna Kohler How is that when the Nexus 6 has never received a single report of bending? And how is 'just like that stupid phone that is bendable' when the specs inside the Nexus 6 are superior, plus a different operating system? I'll wait...
Dang, i felt this video felt really smooth! Was it in 60fps or is that in all Android Authority's videos like that? Idk, but this one felt smoother! Loved this video and glad Taylor is apart of this channel!
I thought you were done with tech when I watched your last video on Pocketnow...I'm sooooo happy that you are back in it with Android Authority..Would love to see more such videos from you :D
I wish in these tips and tricks videos they actually talked about stuff people didn't know about. Even on phones I don't own I usually know all or most of the tips and tricks
Fernando Dorr Wilmar Saly It's called Sleep Timer and adds a widget to your homescreen that you can just tap and it will turn off al music or podcast after a number of minutes that you specify play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.pboos.android.SleepTimer&hl=en
Worth noting: some wireless chargers are difficult to use with the phone. Particularly the smaller ones. Go for one roughly the size of the phone as seen in the video.
I stopped in at T-Mobile last week and they gave me a Samsung j7 and it has that keyboard that you speak of and it seems so logical and intuitive that the row of numbers ought to be there, I'm returning the phone it's a battery hog and a variety of other issues and getting a Nexus 6
Nexus 6 XT1103 still be one of the best beasts around and it works awesome with the $60 everything unlimited cricket wireless (AT&T) playing 1440p videos not a problem
Simmiebird I don't think so, he actually wanted to left the tech industry to do his own project. At that time Pocketnow already hired his replacement. But then he wanted to get back to his older tech life and I think Android Authority is a good alternative.
The Nexus 6 is a good size for a smartphone, plus it has dual front facing speakers. Hopefully Google will keep this design feature in future builds. No reason to go back to any other design style.
I own a Nexus 6 and I think it'd be a good choice to make it a 5.5 inch phone. The size of the phone is great for me because I watch a lot of RUclips, but others would like to have more mobility. Plus it would be smaller than the iPhone 6 Plus because apple does the "forehead has to match the chin" thing.
im gonna be 100% honest with you couse i got my nexus a week ago; it is such an amazing phone, fast, good camera and great for searching google,i am a huge google fan so that is important to me haha if you watch alot of youtube like i do then you're gonna be amazed ,HUGE screen and great quality the only down side for me is the batteries but IT DOES get me thru the day but maybe i just use it alot, either way i am happy i got it so good luck.
+Isaiah Jacobs this is going to be shocking but i got my used but in perfect condition at a local phone shop in my area, for only 270 so i was very lucky so can't really help you :( but you could try searching around
I have a question for you: can the font be changed? I've looked everywhere with no results :( I need to know plz plz!! I'd appreciate it a lot!!!! Thanks!! :D
+ALEJANDRA A. PAZ With the stock launcher, I don't think you can change the style. I use Next Launcher, and while it's certainly a bit pricey, it gives you many customization options, including font size and style, as well as icon size. Give it a look on the play market. I've been using it for years now, and love all the features it provides. It's an expensive launcher, but if you're a big fan of customizing, I think it's one of the best launchers on the market. If the price is puts you off, give Go Launcher a look. It's cheaper, but still has a lot of customization options.
I just got a 6.. went from a iPhone 5 to nexus 5 to a Nexus 6 and I love it. it's still an amazing phone and it's really cheap now. I love the size but it may bother you..
I wanted to get the Nexus 6 instead of the Note 4 or iP6+, but the poor battery life for how big the battery is turned me off. I understand the larger screen and the resolution can affect battery life, but if Google added in battery aids to the operating system instead of the OEM's having to fend for themselves to deal with battery life, it might have been a better hit. I switched to the dark side and got the iP6+ (after being with Android since 2009) and the battery life is excellent, over a day with plenty of juice left. If they can improve the battery life drastically on the Nexus 6 with updates or other legit methods, I'll think about switching back. The Note 4 was very laggy, I hate TouchWiz and haven't owned a Samsung phone since the S3.
Just use a different kernel with intelliplug. Battery life is wayyyy better. And there's a lot more you can do too. The Nexus line are like developer devices, I never thought any were amazing stock, you need to make them good. I love my Nexus 6.
The nexus 6 battery has been good for me. I've had two of them and both have been more than adequate. 5 hours of screen on time is about my average. Then having quick charge I'm never having issues with down time because of my battery.
Nathan Casey That is either bullshit or you are running CM12. I am running CM12 and the difference is huge. Even compared to the newest lollipop TouchWiz.
The nexus 6 is a good phone at 650$ I got mine on eBay brand new 600$. Its a completely unlocked phone instead of gsm or CDMA. Bigger than the iPhone 6 pluss. Its like 200$ to 300$ cheeper. I prefer rooting my phone because of the battery life on stock lollipop is not the best and the camera is not the best on stock. Cyanogenmod 12 is what I'm running. Its simply beautiful. I love my nexus 6.
*Nexus 6 tips and tricks!* goo.gl/VuSYqJ
Useful information. Thanks. Didn't know about gaining extra 80 hours and custom keyboard.
Tip #1 Don't bury it in the snow.
Its just like that stupid phone that is bendable!
Tawna Kohler How is that when the Nexus 6 has never received a single report of bending? And how is 'just like that stupid phone that is bendable' when the specs inside the Nexus 6 are superior, plus a different operating system? I'll wait...
Great video!
Taylor, so good to see you back again talking about tech and android. Good on you
Awesome having you back on RUclips Taylor :)
Good to see you back Taylor Martin
Dang, i felt this video felt really smooth! Was it in 60fps or is that in all Android Authority's videos like that? Idk, but this one felt smoother! Loved this video and glad Taylor is apart of this channel!
Great you are back Taylor Martin and now in Android Authority!!! Good!!!
I don't have a Nexus 6 and even I already knew about everything he mentioned for well over a month now.
I thought you were done with tech when I watched your last video on Pocketnow...I'm sooooo happy that you are back in it with Android Authority..Would love to see more such videos from you :D
Glad to see you get a lot of video time on Android Authority Taylor. I'm watching more from AA because of that.
Good to see u again. Love your reviews on devices
Wonderful! Very helpful. I've had my nexus for a couple months and still love it.
I only have to charge my Nexus 6 every other day. I use it for gaming, facebook, twitter and browsing the webs, so Im not complaining!
OH man! I just used the PC Keyboard layout trick on my One Plus One. It's so much more usable and reads my swipes a lot better. Thanks. :)
dude
I thought you were done with it .
great to have you back with tech man 👍
Great news, isn't it?
Can you all follow me
Crashsite Gaming Nope.
Eston Playz And Stuff please. I post funny jokes.
Crashsite Gaming That's not funny. It doesn't even sound like a joke.
Nexus 6 is the best phone I ever. I am really pleased with this phone. Also, I get through the whole day with the battery life on the phone.
I know it stands out
Lollipop pop is the best
It feels great
Display is extremely sharp
Front facing speakers
Didn't know you defected here from pocketnow, good to see you Taylor.
I've had this phone for 2 years and I really recomend it.
I like this new guy, he's not boring!
He's from Pocketnow!
I wish in these tips and tricks videos they actually talked about stuff people didn't know about. Even on phones I don't own I usually know all or most of the tips and tricks
Was this uploaded in 1080p60? Nice.
So this is where you went after pocket now. I am happy for you. I hope you are fulfilling your dreams!
What is the name of the widget in the middle at 0:20?
Same question
Fernando Dorr Wilmar Saly It's called Sleep Timer and adds a widget to your homescreen that you can just tap and it will turn off al music or podcast after a number of minutes that you specify play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.pboos.android.SleepTimer&hl=en
Anyone know what the widget is above the app drawer icon?
That LED is in use. It's sole purpose is to light up when you try to power it on and the battery is close to empty.
Worth noting: some wireless chargers are difficult to use with the phone. Particularly the smaller ones. Go for one roughly the size of the phone as seen in the video.
My top tip download the FV-5 camera app for it. It transforms into a top tier android shooter.
Question on the notification light - What is the purpose install it and then lock it off from it user?
Could I get a link to that wallpaper?
Thank You This Was Great Mate😉
Waiting on the 6 to officially come to Verizon since I have no way of activating a nanosim right now.
Didn't Taylor Martin work for pocketnow?
I stopped in at T-Mobile last week and they gave me a Samsung j7 and it has that keyboard that you speak of and it seems so logical and intuitive that the row of numbers ought to be there, I'm returning the phone it's a battery hog and a variety of other issues and getting a Nexus 6
thanks for the pc keyboard tip that one is really useful !
Nexus 6 XT1103 still be one of the best beasts around and it works awesome with the $60 everything unlimited cricket wireless (AT&T) playing 1440p videos not a problem
Can anyone tell me the name of the 1x1 clock widget in the Nexus 6.
It was at 0:20 in this video.
Nice! Now all we need is for Michael Fisher to jump team aswell ^^
Really col video and I didn't know the trick with the PC style keyboard. Works pretty nice on my smaller Moto X 2014 display :)
I love my phone and very happy with my purchase. The phone is super fast and never slows..
Wait... is this pocketnow??
Nope. Taylor Martin stopped working for PocketNow and joined Android Authority instead.
Taylor is with Android Authority for 3 weeks, your a bit late to know.
Kawshik Ahmed What a traitor. He is quite disloyal isn't he?
Simmiebird I don't think so, he actually wanted to left the tech industry to do his own project.
At that time Pocketnow already hired his replacement. But then he wanted to get back to his older tech life and I think Android Authority is a good alternative.
Does he have his own channel?
Why aren't you with Pocketnow no more? /:
Taylor, did you, or Alex finish that puzzle?
Why, thank you for asking. And YES we did, except our dogs ate two of the pieces :(
The Nexus 6 is a good size for a smartphone, plus it has dual front facing speakers. Hopefully Google will keep this design feature in future builds. No reason to go back to any other design style.

I like 5.7 inch a lot, but it's now one of those 'giant phones' in the market now
Taylor Martin left Pocketnow to work with Android Authority, cool cool.
Are you the man from pocketnow?
Can you do one of these for the nexus 9
Great.. Now I need a Nexus 6
hey man!! how did you do for watching %battery next to "time" ;)
is this the guy who used to work on phonedog?
what clock face is he using on top of screen?
What clock and screen saver is he using??
I'm a huge fan of huge smartphone screens
The note 4 felt small after using the nexus
So I got the nexus
Hooyah Nexus 6...I love this phone!!!
pretty sure google will come up with a new wireless charger that's why it's not on the specsheets
I'm trying to get a good upgrade would the nexus 6 be a good upgrade?
im gonna be 100% honest with you couse i got my nexus a week ago; it is such an amazing phone, fast, good camera and great for searching google,i am a huge google fan so that is important to me haha if you watch alot of youtube like i do then you're gonna be amazed ,HUGE screen and great quality the only down side for me is the batteries but IT DOES get me thru the day but maybe i just use it alot, either way i am happy i got it so good luck.
+Farah, I guess thanks I'm just waiting until the cloud white price goes down on Amazon lol 😂 where did you get yours?
+Isaiah Jacobs this is going to be shocking but i got my used but in perfect condition at a local phone shop in my area, for only 270 so i was very lucky so can't really help you :( but you could try searching around

Same question plus the clock widget?
YOUR WI-FI NAME.

I just sent mine back for a return. It was just too big.
Gah, I keep looking at the lollipop and I want it so bad. Have to wait until first week of march.

On the keyboard customising, i didnt have a globe hey? does it have to be in US 'Language' or doesnt that matter?
Nevermind .. i figured it out :)
where did u find the globe key
Does anyone know what Qi charger he used?
One tip was to keep an eye on your data consumption, aaaaand I'm just sitting here with 39 GB used this month xD
I have a question for you: can the font be changed? I've looked everywhere with no results :( I need to know plz plz!! I'd appreciate it a lot!!!! Thanks!! :D
+ALEJANDRA A. PAZ Go into settings, then hit "display". Scroll down, and you will see the menu for font size.
+AngelsLastVengeance Thanks for answering, but what i want to change is the font type, not only the size, can that even be done? Thanks so much!
+ALEJANDRA A. PAZ With the stock launcher, I don't think you can change the style. Thank you. Just killed ambient display. I don't even get half a day battery life!
My poison's the 6P although my girl has the 6 and it's awesome. Shall have to tell her that trick with the stock keyboard.

I just got a 6.. went from a iPhone 5 to nexus 5 to a Nexus 6 and I love it. it's still an amazing phone and it's really cheap now. I love the size but it may bother you..
Ah, it's so nice having no data cap and no speed throttling instead that 1GB shit I had before
I've noticed the amount of data my phone says I've used differs greatly from what my carriers app says I've used anybody have an explanation
I wanted to get the Nexus 6 instead of the Note 4 or iP6+, but the poor battery life for how big the battery is turned me off. Is it Qi wireless charging or Chi
Aankit Pokhrel Vlogs qi
Taylor Martin has changed completely after leaving Pocketnow
The nexus 6 is a good phone at 650$ I got mine on eBay brand new 600$. Its a completely unlocked phone instead of gsm or CDMA. Bigger than the iPhone 6 pluss. Its like 200$ to 300$ cheeper. M8, you don't know how expensive those are in Indonesia.
Wasn't this guy part of pocketnow?
Yes he was
I have a notification LED in my phone!!! yes! best phone I've ever owned.. I thought it was going to be too big but it's perfect!
How do you like the battery life
Yeah it's fine.. it can last a long time but also go quickly
Sean T What about it's camera quality?
I'm going to get that phone
Does anyone else experience a lag while texting/typing in landscape mode on nexus 6.?
taylor giving the middle finger to pocketnow
This sucker was available the other day... if I didn't already have a OnePlus I would have jumped on it. That was tough (not buying one)!
Why the heck would Motorola and Google hide that notification light? It's convenient having it on my one m8.
how do I enable led notification
+razoor532 that sucks
+razoor532 what do u mean by rooting it??
+razoor532 that sucks so baf
Gilad Briggs But what the hell is root mode?? I've got a nexus 6 and till now I was thinking there is no led notification but now I'm curious,...
+Muhammad Ali rooting = super user acces. It basicly means that you have 100% control over the phone.
😍 Taylor Martin 😍
why your nexus 6 can shoot 4k mine cant why?
+cedieboy cedie Hey can i ask if the front cam shoots Good photos?
+Mei Qi it's ok

Isn't he from pocketnow or phonedog?
Im watching it from my nexus 6

Best phone I've ever had
You can't get a day of usage damn that sucks I don't know how but my OnePlus givers me 2days 5hrs minimum on screen time
for a moment i thought i was watching pocketnow, when i realised its android authority
I can tell instantly that this is 60FPS. Check the quality settings and BAM 60FPS nice one !
When he says unlock your bootloader i thought it was really hard its actually super easy just letting everyone know!
I wish the battery life was better. Only gets 4 hrs of screen time
Just use a different kernel. Mine's amazing.
I'm watching this video even though I dont own one.....
The speaker is soo handsome and very sexy speaking tho 😁😍
Where are the tips and tricks?
I wish I could get rid of my Note 3 and buy a Nexus 6, damn phone contracts 😟 (Note 3 is still am amazing phone btw)
My battery lasts alllll day with me being on it a lot
Why TF would they hide a hardware feature like to notification light? Stupid.
haha! you know in NZ people call food thaka, so they call tomato souce thaka faka (TF).
This guy is freaking hot, I don't care about what he's talking about.
