The one thing this game has taught me is how to run backwards while shooting
At 12:45 when you talk about not using your jetpack to jump over the wall, --- use your jetpack. I jumped over it and had a direct bead on Weston. Took him & his Overseer self out in about 2 minutes without fighting anything else. Ran straight to the room & killed the few that followed me in in safety. Easiest boss I ever had.
I have a love/hate relationship with that poi. Only way that I can get through that death room without multiple respawns is to drop a couple of hv minigun turrets. Tough thing is loading/fueling them without getting killed. Once they're up and running the room is manageable. I know it's cheese but I don't care, Vermillion/Ravien is a sadist (in a good way) with his death room designs. Any time I run into one of his death rooms I'll drop a turret or two.
Yep, Spanj is officially getting 'dad brain', selling needed schematics. Just accidently sold all my ammo in Starfield instead of buying ammo, didn't notice until I was out of the menu so couldn't buy back. Could be worse though, I'm only a few years from 'grand dad brain' where I'll get to sit around, break wind and tell the same stories over and over.
The Dad brain is real, I swear I might need to get my head scanned!
I think that rooms made to kill you no matter what with surprise spawns behind your back when you flip a switch or stuff like that are terribly designed. Even in gruelling shooters like doom 2 you get at least a fighting chance with surprise rooms like that. Ravine/Vermillion aren't as graceful with that, they just want you to die at least some times on their POIs. In said cases cheesing it is ok in my books.
Is it still possible to use HV turrets in RE? I've come back on recently and the turrets on the HVs just wont work when I spawn them on a base.
@@kruthian I've never tried to attach them to a base, I just made a blueprint that was just an hv turret, fuel tank, generator and small ammo container. I keep a few of them in my factory so that I can drop them as needed. Fuel them, arm them then break them down and put them back in your factory when the poi is done.

I play this game, and I enjoy it alot. But what amazes me even more is those POIs. The level of details is incredible. I sure lack the patience to do all of that because as long as my ships are working, I couldn't care less about the rest. But Kudos to everyone who created those POIs, they did an amazing job.
All of the abominations I ever face all do that "gettin' jiggy wit it" movement it seems.

If you have 3 heavy armors, you can combine them with magnacite and aluminum for durable heavy armor
For the boss room, don't listen to the advice on the wall (except the jetpack one), and clean eggs, zirax and turrets from outside the room and don't hesitate to go out to heal. Then, when everything is cleared, follow the advice by staying in the room and do the lever/boss

By the way, there's a reason to loot abominations (I think I remember you saying in a previous vid that you don't bother)
You can use them to make Biological Reports (deco tab) for 100 unlock points.
But metallurgical gets 150 and you can only visit each uhc ship for points once.
I always research schematics first, then look to sell them after doing the same thing (selling one before I researched it).

If I may make a suggestion. With future schematics, always go to the schematic unlock computer first before selling off spares. Just in case...
It's amazing how good they made that station look. Wish I could get even close in my ships / bases.
i picked up one of those personal shields in one of the "unknown" pois on my starter planet, the easy little one where you walk in the door and kill 3 spawns. i think its a "rare" box.

I dont think you were able to unlock the heavy railgun schematic because it required the light one to unlock. So that heavy railgun scematic you sold you were holding onto until you did unlock it.

As a noob to this game is the war and industry update something I should take part in after completing the RE content?
Its all merged together so if you are running the latest version of RE then you are running war and industry
This is one of my favourite POI's, it's strange that the doc (boss) was already there before you flipped all the switches. I did run it last season on your server after Ravien updated the POI but I still had to flip all switches before he spawned in, this was after the Chaos Crew run the POI which I think prompted Ravien to provide the update.. lol I haven't run it since the War and Industry update but I will as soon as I log back in today it's my next mission. 🙂

Well done. Somehow you are missing the final boss. The overseer was the penultimate boss. Did you actually loot him? There is cool loot in him also. The final door would only open after you killed all enemies and the final boss, whom you did not meet.
It is indeed a lot easier when using the jetpack. So well done for doing it on foot.
I would love to see you play a playthrough without a laser rifle. I believe it would be fun

In single player the turrets shoot as well and you have to flip each switch spawning more critters its the best poi and very tough. I cant remember but I think the boss has loot on him too?

3:11 I am very curious why the AI is so attracted to corners. I saw it in your last episode as well and also in my own gameplay, the AI will charge right past the player or not go towards them at all but instead find a corner and sit there motionless for several seconds, sometimes indefinitely. It is very odd.
3:36 "I wasn't expecting that" How did you not see that coming 😂 You even commented on the scorpions in the cage! Do you honestly think Ravien or especially Vermillion would show you caged scorpions and then not unleash them on you??? 😆
26:50 They make you mostly invulnerable to damage, but they don't protect you from status effects, so if you pop one and then try to go toe to toe with a combat walker or a boss room like that, you'll still get mutilation, bleeding, all the poison, pain and unusual suffering so while the shield protects your health, you'll basically be locked in place by the stuns, broken bones, mutilations etc., and the moment the shield turns off, your max HP drops down to like 150 and you bleed out within a few seconds anyways. I've only ever successfully used one once, every other time, I turned it on, jumped into the fray, instantly got crippled by status effects, the shield then quickly wore off and either any enemies I didn't get in the 10 second window would one shot my reduced health, or I'd die from not being able to cure all the cooties fast enough.

If RE could add anything, I wish it would do something about the scorpion dying sound...my ears bleed with every one. I know there are lots of things that are hard-coded into the game. Seriously, if Eleon could just patch the noise to have a chance of playing it would do wonders.
Flame thrower more effective with bugs? Better to save ammo for others!
Did that poi for the first time a few days ago , problem was i only had a tier 1 sniper and shotgun , went pretty well until the last room lol damn bugs

A while ago someone (not me ) pointed out the "elite assault rifle (sic?)" has an under-slung grenade launcher that is great anti-personal. Not good for structural damage and uses regular rifle ammo. Has this changed? Or do you prefer the extra launcher for some reason?
I think the antimatter warp drive is only awesome because by the time wi get him we have a bunch nav data and it feels awesome and he only gives 30 or 20 ly compare to an advance one and 30ly is not that huge but still good 😊
Hey spanj & peeps, great series and game. My group of people recently started playing together using a co-op feature of the game, but today i had the unfortunate event of getting a blue screen of death and could no longer see the save when launching up the game, from googling I've understood this means the savefile is corrupt and seems all is lost, but if there really is a way to restore it please do toss me a reply (we are all new to the game 3 weeks ish)
I HATE that end room :) it also said u got an epic plasma rifle from that end loot box but didn't show op in ur connected box u got robbed son EDIT: nevermind the plasma went on the 9 slot of ur toolbar wich was empty

1) Denying their stupid lazy brain mistake is the strategy of Spoons everywhere.
2) if you are the spoon, whom is the dish?
TBH, that 'boss room' felt kinda lame. It's like the final fight of the Dead Planets questline, attempting horde combat in a game not very suited to it. To compensate for player resources, you're thrown into massive horde fights, but it just doesn't mesh well. It's a sort of difficulty that is more frustrating than challenging.

Spanj, скажи пожалуйста насколько честно использовать при штурме POI блюпринт HV состоящей из ядра и блока лечения, почему ты этим не пользуешься? ее можно поставит как чекпоинт и возвращаться по мере необходимости.
Это просто не мой стиль игры, я ничего не имею против людей, которые их используют.
