- drjonathansyke... -- You should massage after having injectable filler in areas where the skin is thinner, such as the lips or lower eyelids, but massaging too much and in other areas could actually break down the filler, resulting in less volume. Or it may cause filler migration.

Until the filler incorporates with your soft tissue, it may move. So, if you do massage the area, keep it light.
How long does it take for a filler to settle?
As a general rule, it can take from a week to a week and a half for filler to settle. In areas where there’s thick soft tissue such as the chin, anterior jawline, and cheeks, we inject the filler deeply so it doesn’t require a whole lot of massage and tends to settle more quickly than areas with thinner skin such as in the lips, or lower eyelids.
If you have any questions about this, call me, email me, or come in to see me, particularly if you’ve got a problem after a prior injection. I see lots of patients for this and I’m glad to see you.

he was answering that way because it’s not so cut and dry.
he said it “depends”. it’s very pt specific, area dependent and type of injector technique;also which filler used adds to the equation, as well.
doing fillers is an “art”
the pts are going to do what they want to do. so the best thing (and really only thing ) you can do when they leave ur office, as an injector, is give them some guidance and explain the risks of not following instructions.
how many times has a doc told the pt
“ only light activity and no drinking for 2 days”
next day, they go to gym do a leg day and then go out drinking with their friends
Also includes the timetable for how long it takes fillers to settle in thick or thin areas of skin, Thank you!!
Hello! I got lip fillers done on 6th of June 2023. Yesterday I started doing massage as my I have bumps on my lower and upper lips. Am I late to make it smooth with the massage . Kindly tell me
Hey how are your bumps now? I had lip fillers done 2 days ago, a bump on my upper lip, I’m worried it won’t dissolve naturally but will need to inject dissolving enzyme which might also dissolve the other normal areas
@@chibio1255has urs went away ? I’m on day 4 and I feel little bumps in places still …I’m nervous 😬
I'm not trying to disrespect him and I'm sorry if i did but why does he look like those ai video?
How do you tell a px to massage but don't overdue it?!? That's ridiculous. Nor do you give technique. Be a bit more professional and give a ln answer that people can adhere to
