  • www.RajaniMD.com - Massaging facial dermal filler is an often asked question during trainings. It depends on the product selection and facial placement. Dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm usually do not require much massage whereas sculptra and plasmasculpt do. Bellafil we recommend light massage for the surface.

    Dr Rajani,
I have tear trough filler since 5 months. One eye looks smaller than my other eye. In the past I also eye trough filler. I massaged that area and my filler dissolved on this way. I had an MRI. My filler didnot migrate. It really dissolved due massaging. Now I dont like my tear trough area after injecting again. Should I do massaging again? I am scared dissolving by hyaluronidase. There is a doc who dissolves with ultrasound guided. What do you think! Iam looking forward your answer. Many regards from Germany.

What a fabulous speaker! I love taking care of my skin and recently added juvéderm a natural under my eyes and a touch of my vial for my lips! This time I'm trying the effect with notice to lift the triangular part of my eyebrow. It's too early to tell if I'll like that lol. It allows much natural expression yet this will not allow the other areas above really my right brow that has a fine line group so you're excellent in pointing out that yes, you do minimal then return in two weeks as it's much nicer to increase instead of being unhappy or worse...having your investment dissolved :(. I'm 39 years old and I have fair freckled skin that my step mother having children who tanned while several times left without coverage I even ended up in the hospital with hand sized blisters on my back! I was a semi pro athlete so quite a tomboy but my father's mother a very famous beautician in her fabulous days and I finally ebbed into skincare at age 25. This really is a ministry to yourself and to others for those holding off feeling it might be vanity. I love how you highlight that it is a great idea to be actively involved in the enhancement of natural beauty as we age men and women alike! I must say... Even the facial laser has not only taken away so much damage but to the degree of revealing hidden skin cancer! A tiny circle by my ear I would've thought perhaps a bug bite but as you see these steps are actually proactively addressing self awareness and body examination for melanoma. My 10 year old daughter we feared had ALM and her incredible Dermatologist/Pathologist/Pediatrician & Professor at Baylor University Dr. John Browning we see in San Antonio, Texas and his two other practices as he sees adults also! She had one mole on her left palm and three on her left foot with the inner toe having a drastic change as previously reported I would be more or less waived off as overly worried... Well Bob Marley thought his toe mole was simply a soccer injury and adding to JAMA IN 86' I believe was the melanoma type called ALM which took his life at age 36 within five years of dx... I was so upset I had my plastic surgeon who's become a precious friend (she did my bilateral breast reduction) have a look on Facebook messenger even with my ruler out and she at least kept me calm as our primary agreed with me on a Friday that those she was taught all moles on skin without hair i.e. Palms and soles of the feet should simply be surgically removed per the versed older generation Dermatologists/Pathologists and I agree as that is exactly what Dr. John Browning did straight away catching one in situ with the other three certainly heading along the path to no good. Of all my research during this time I realized women are really hammered away to check our breasts monthly but I can't recall ever being told to sit in front of a mirror with a large handheld mirror to examine our bodies in places we just don't commonly see. In doing this myself I caught a very dark mole myself with a bad border and the typical inner/borderline outer or back thigh melanomas are often discovered there in women and I was seen and Dr. John Browning again you'd think feeling a flat mole is safe even if it isn't gorgeous lol but oh how wrong as I was not really paying attention to surgical biopsy I was pleased that my daughters pathology and the coveted former San Antonio Dermatologist/Pathologist/Professor who everyone referred to Dr. Davis was missing but I found him! He owns his own pathology laboratory with a partner Dr. Stevens and with pediatric John's Hopkins recommends more than one pathologist review the slides! I called the lab to my delight after receiving her report to begin what would've been a process to move her specimen/slides to have another pathologist chime in not familiar with the Pathology M.D. despite his thorough report and I was beyond pleased to find THE Dr. Davis and learn that lab is his, no longer seeing patients he remains in his lab of twenty years and continues to teach thankfully as too many younger dermatologists do waive off potential melanoma which can be inside our body including for women the labia and the desire to move her slides instead without dissension at all I ended up having three Pathologists independently study her slides within the same lab all agreeing with one another blindly. This was highly professional and what it takes for moms like me lol. I suppose I went off the track adding that story but my flat suspicious mole had bulk and I was taken aback with the large hole in my leg (surgical removal not a punch biopsy) again lucky and going straight to Dr. Davis I too was blessed catching a melanoma in situ which is often a very slow stage but it isn't common that melanoma is caught that early so on tying in with my discovering your fabulous information given today I wanted to share that even taking care of our skin many think this is simply vanity and oh how wrong they are as advanced skincare for myself has saved the years ahead by addressing sun damaged skin that even looked rather lovely as my Basque genetics did render good skin and I might point out that frowning takes forty two facial muscles so more smiling certainly helps us as well as those who need our smiles and examples in skincare encouraging others to take action to feel good and the spiritual positive effects of great results many like me will find this again as what I consider a beauty ministry! I had a great motivation to really help me stop smoking with my decision to have Juvéderm enhancement of my lips and under my eyes. I don't know if you post results that aren't your own but rather of the product to allay the many fears and misleading information I found along my way to YOU! I actually have a stellar primary care physician who is my age and she and her partner also love skincare and beauty so investing in the equipment and products for themselves as well as advanced training in application we don't just trust anyone to do; definitely not, my case is rare to have such a brilliant primary who really "trumps" most specialists in medicine correctly diagnosing conditions entirely missed by rather renowned specialists and having a beautiful physician who is so brilliant is very special! However I have a typical bruise under one eye that on day one with following post care still by nightfall felt hardened at the deepest injection point and (she doesn't feather btw) but in keeping my head elevated and having restorative sleep the next day and since, the bruise remains but the harness there is gone. As for my lips which weren't terribly thin but as I mentioned I felt I've recently been contemplating a natural looking enhancement as I've crossed the Botox bridge and medical facials lol why not try Juvéderm in my lips! I took the before picture, the same day I again took an evening picture then I applied lip gloss which I've complied into one photograph of before, after and lip gloss with stunningly natural results yet she reserved a portion of my vial for the two week point like you do! I have total faith in her yet I myself have so many unusual drug allergies more in my upper lip the feeling running my tongue inside my lips feels almost like little pellets from a BB gun and I have turned to magical Google to see if this is normal or if I need to take action as this cannot be detected by the eye, only me but again I've read such drastic ranges of this opinion and that horror story, enough to consider that perhaps I am allergic but I'm now a huge fan of yours!!! And you provided the data rather elegantly I might add therefore I am not concerned and instead it is a little silly but lol with the slight burn/sting of just the trauma of injections and the numbness coming and going on procedure day as she does go with non surface Novacaine then goes back to focusing on the important natural first step to expand the shape conservatively as we can always add more at the two week check in and I...no laughing lol used my ultrasonic toothbrush to lightly move inside my upper lip and my facial Clarisonic on day three to essentially (I'm a twenty year massage practitioner) vibrate/ massage/exfoliate as when lip tissue expands I noticed a chapped lip situation which makes perfect sense. But now this will also aide my smoking cessation as I will guard my investment and isn't that a fun idea! I'm sure I've written (botched by autocorrect lol) a novella but again it's so exciting to have found you Dr. Ajani and subscribe to your channel as you really have a passion here that radiates from within you and is quite beautiful. Thank you so very much and we will look forward to learning more as you educate us!
    Sincerely ❤,

    Hello Dr. Rajani
Just 4 days ago I had
restylane lyft injected in my high cheekbone, I was told by my dr.
That it would help with what I was looking for.
I was originally looking to get rid of my double chin.
She suggested I didn’t do anything there and for her to put
restylane lyft in my hi cheekbone, and that would pull and make the effect I want.
I did what was suggested but I don’t feel very good with my result.
I have a oval face and already high cheekbone, and I like it, but I feel what was done just added a little more volume to my cheeks and a pointy edge I did not have before.
My question is the next is there a way to get rid of was applied to me?
I was told it can last up to a year.
It has just been a couple of days since I had it done and my face still hurt a little.
I would like to know if the product is fit safe for my face and if there is also a Safeway to get rid of it and having it look how I already was.

I guess these programs are good for advice but not really for questions requested. Thanks anyway. This is not meant to be sarcastic but why would we ask if we could get a satisfactory answer from them and trust your opinion. It's been over 2 months since I had it. Gloria Golemboski bellafill is a permanent product. Some questions can be answered some can't. Imagine me answering this not knowing even the area injected. So yes definitely much more info can be needed at times and some products are very specific in depth and injector's technique. With permanent I have my patients follow a specific protocol. Thx for asking. Sorry I cannot help more.

Matt J could be many things. Most important is a follow up with your doctor. Filler/ hematoma/ water being attracted to filler/ residual swelling etc etc... many possibilities but someone that injects filler regularly can assess if it feels like filler/ water/ blood etc.
