The Djinn (Andrew Divoff) is a mischievous monster who can fulfill any wishes but in a horrible way He was captured into an opal in the 12th century and hidden inside an antique statue. When the statue is damaged in 1997 during transportation to Los Angeles, Djinn escapes and takes human form. Young gemologist Alexandra Amberson (Tammy Lauren) has to take a stand against him.

I worked at a vid store- one of the last ones in ny. It was kind of how it was, only didn’t have the somewhat grating customers who didn’t know when to stay and let the actual business be a business. I miss that job though, for real

Man I'm so glad you covered this, I've been coming back to this film every 10 years since I was a kid. Major guilty pleasure of mine. Wish the whole Rental Review gang was here for this one though!
Hard at the moment because they working on AVGN. I did manage to get Kieran for a few minutes to do the Djinn voice though!

I'm super glad you're doing this. After losing Rental Revies AND James and Mike Mondays I was very upset, but this definitely takes the edge off. What makes a skeleton scary is that they can still move without muscles. They’re animated by an external force or the spirit & they’re magic, so they would rip your flesh from your bones with their bones. I know because I’ve battled the undead many times, I’m an expert.
Sucks that the review for Wishmaster 2 isn't working. I love your comedy and your insights to these movies. Keep up the good work.

I first saw this at Monster Mania in Cherry Hill, NJ. It was the perfect environment (among horror fans) to watch this. Loved it right away. I already shared it with my Dad when he visited once and might share it with a horror-fan friend this week.

Haven't seen Wishmaster since I was a kid, this makes me want to revisit it. One of the things I remember are odd transitions... thought I had only dreamt it.

I first saw this movie because of my Brother who loved watching weird and underrated horror movies and I can say this was one of them ones I enjoyed then and I still enjoy now it really holds up and seriously I would love to see a Good Remake of this idea.

The trilogy of terror fetish doll does appear in the first episode of Stephen kings nightmares and dreamscapes series. More fitting in the scene as it is part of a collection owned by a homicidal toy collector.

This was a great review. It reminded me of Rental Reviews. You should just start that shit up again yourself man! Seriously just grab all your movie geek friends and just talk and laugh about whatever movie your reviewing. I miss it and this really felt like a glimpse of those past Rental Reviews. DO IT!

The actress who plays Alexandra was also the daughter in Disneys Bride Of Boogedy back in the 80s.That may be where you recognize her from. Just watched this a couple days ago.
The first time I saw Robert Englund playing a character other than Freddy was The Paper Brigade.
He's blue for the same REASON the Aladdin genie is blue. In the myths and legends Djinn come from they're often referred to as blue and green.

Should have mentioned that in an interview they revealed Andrew Divoff used jelly beans to get the djinn voice lol.. imagine him in full make up. Popping jelly beans lol i love this movie. The stuff in the jelly beans would stick in his throat and helped him get the voice lol

I think James wanted to put energy in other things its actually good tony is keeping this going so the set is maintained and the lighting and editing style is fully there when James decides to jump back in.
