she doesn't fully understand the depths of her own feelings and how to react to his increasingly outright words and shows of affections. also afraid to acknowledge her own feelings as an unconscious defense mechanism; if she let's herself fall for him, what if he becomes the next in line of the many loved ones who end up dying and leaving her. she is working through her trauma and baggage little by little. it's baby steps right now but hopefully running soon. 👍
