@@MyFirstFishTank My only fear is that they might have spread their eggs throughout the tank while you stressed it out the first time. If the zoas weren't glued down, you might want to zap them out of the tank in a container of tank water and rinse with new tank water/rodi to kill any babies that might be attached and then place back into the tank. Or, invest in some peppermint shrimp that eat aiptasia. I have 4 in my tank and haven't seen aiptasia in a month and they also eat flake food to stay alive. Just a thought, wouldn't it be easier to move the bullies rather than move everyone else. Then when you add them back someone else might be the boss who isn't as much of a Jerk. Also I've never tried it but in my head it's like chiclids from freshwater, maybe add more clowns then the aggression is spread even further. Like I say I'm no expert but if you can knock the bullies off their high horse and spread the aggression as thin as possible with tons of clowns then there will be less of one getting singled out. Love your series and love following along with you!
You are too kind, and you could certainly be on to something with adding more clownfish. The initial idea was to have enough clowns to spread the aggression, feed a lot, and have a lot of habitat. Being down to 7 clowns in this tank is working, but what would it be like with 15? I don't know! Maybe that is going to have to be another experiment!!!

yes and no. Probably in an ideal world, especially for beginners, absolutely. But once you know a bit more about the nitrogen cycle, and what to do and not do, you can speed it up.
I suppose. My tank has been stable for 2 weeks. I sped things up a little. Real live rocks from my LFS and Live sand from Carib sea. My dream of growing Macro-algae has been on hold. The Red grape Caulerpa is not doing well. I do have some green leafy Macros going along with some softie corals. An emerald crab is the lone sentinel, and He is accompanied by snails and pods. Which ever one was near zero nitrates and phosphates and you started dosing Red Sea AB+. I’m a fan of bio pellets as the form of carbon dosing, but I’m just now beginning to understand how the good micro fauna and bad need to coexist. Dr Tim Hovenac has a great talk that I believe is posted by marine depot. Check it out. Search dr Tim macna. It’s not the cycle video but the one with poor video and sound quality. I’ll find it and see if I know how to link it.
He says so many things that really hit home. Like “ok so you start carbon dosing...that’s assuming your tank is carbon deficient.” And how protein skimmers select for surface dwelling bacteria. Meaning you are removed nearly 100% of bacteria in the water column (mostly good stuff that feeds your corals and competes against the bad guys). So you are clearing the way for the surface dwelling organisms to grow out of control. Makes perfect sense. And it matches what I experience at home. Watch Lou Ekus on carbon dosing as well. Wish there where more voices like theirs to blend the science with the anecdotes.
The problem is it may release tissue from the aiptasia into the water column. When this happens, it will spread. I made a DIY wand some years ago based on the manjano wand. Exact replica of it. Didn't work and spread them in my system. Best solution I've found is to cover them with kalk paste.
You know, I'm not actually. I have some local friends who have hooked me up in the past. I'm outgoing, but highly introverted so don't like to socialize much outside of my family and close friends!
The anemones. In 6 months my 1” rose bubble tip has turned into 6 separate anemones all round 2-3 inches. I do feed them almost daily small portions when i feed the fish.
I put my bully discus in a jail cell in the same tank so the others can make fun of him... then, the next largest became the bully, and so on and so on... Discus SUCK!
If everyone who got free product would praise it just because they got it for free then you couldn’t really trust the reviews right? Why would he hide any criticisms just because it was free

It doesn’t prevent the aiptasia from releasing babies. It’s very likely to speed up aiptasia population growth.
So even if you kill it the aiptasia can still release babies? I had no idea!
The problem is it may release tissue from the aiptasia into the water column. When this happens, it will spread. I made a DIY wand some years ago based on the manjano wand. Exact replica of it. Didn't work and spread them in my system. Best solution I've found is to cover them with kalk paste.
Are you part of a fish club? Many a local hobbyist can get you the nems you need.
You know, I'm not actually. I have some local friends who have hooked me up in the past. I'm outgoing, but highly introverted so don't like to socialize much outside of my family and close friends!
They grow fast to the point they will over run your tank. If you ever learn to keep them alive.
Wait, are you talking about zoas? No, nems?
The anemones. In 6 months my 1” rose bubble tip has turned into 6 separate anemones all round 2-3 inches. I do feed them almost daily small portions when i feed the fish.
I put my bully discus in a jail cell in the same tank so the others can make fun of him...
then, the next largest became the bully, and so on and so on... Discus SUCK!
Ha, that is so annoying! I have the same problem with the clowns!!
They will grow and split. Omg 11. Id bought 4. Your going to be overloaded. Bta split like crazy. Lol.
I sure hope I'm overloaded! It's a change for me to even be able to keep them alive, so the opposite would be amazing!
@@MyFirstFishTank ride salinity at 1.026. Feed weekly. Lol. Those small ones are splits, so youve got splitters. Lol. Have fun.

You are the second person to recommend them to me! Waiting for Friday's nem drop!!! :-)

I really like the Jump light actually. Great for the money for sure.
If everyone who got free product would praise it just because they got it for free then you couldn’t really trust the reviews right? Why would he hide any criticisms just because it was free
