Sorry I just realized how old the post was and saw the reaction before this video and the darkness was very impressed with brendan is what I meant by he was.
The most impressive in all of this is that he's singing the chorus WHILE playing the guitar, which not even Justin Hawkins does because it's a little rythmically confusing to do both at the same time. Amazing.
You must be a musician too it is difficult but i also sing and play the chorus to every song and it is very difficult sometimes but it becomes natural after 10 thousand tries
Panic At The Disco just got my respect. I saw them on the New Year's Rockin' Eve TV show years ago and thought they were just another pop/dance band. Justin would be proud.
Couldnt agree more. The harmonies were my favorite part of the cover. Almost wish the darkness would have done the same on the 2nd verse in the original
Amazing live cover. He could have done it amazing in studio. And I love how they didn't speed up the song. Most of the time live bands play the song a bit faster than the album version.
The darkness are a fuckin incredible live band, and the breakdown of this from 3:35 is as good as I've ever seen them play it, which is the best compliment I can ever give
It is so cool watching Brendon do straight up rock and roll. Always made me sad when Panic when super mainstream/poppy with their sound and this is so refreshing in the best of ways
8 years late... but I love the original and it popped up in my feed and I was thinking.... Panic! should cover this song because duh! WOW ... just WOW ;-)
you might like One Way Ticket (to hell and back) then: much heavier. Should be up there w/ the likes of Back in Black etc. Australia VMA did a great recording for TV. played this song, too.
Panic performs this song live better than the Darkness. Seriously. I've never heard a live version of this song performed by the darkness that even comes close to this. Panic nailed every aspect of the studio version - guitar harmonies/solos, background harmonies/vocals, lead vocals...they straight up smoked the shit out of this song. I'm impressed.
Wow! Quanta energia e perfezione, questa cover che è quasi meglio dell'originale! Un dieci assoluto al cantante per l'incredibile controllo della voce. Bravi!!!
"I Believe In A Thing Called Love" Can't explain all the feelings that you're making me feel My heart's in overdrive and you're behind the steering wheel Touching you, touching me touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love Ooh! I wanna kiss you every minute, every hour, every day You got me in a spin but everythin' is A.OK! Touching you, touching me touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love Ooh! Touching you, touching me touching you, god you're touching me I believe in a thing called love Just listen to the rhythm of my heart There's a chance we could make it now We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down I believe in a thing called love Ooh!
Not Dallon. It was the guitar player. Dallon was clothed and on the other side. That being said...who care. How is a man with his shit off provocative?
I saw this and got crazy excited to watch it bc I LOVE the original and then BRENDON SANG and I hyperventilated through the *whole* song bc it was so insanely good I almost cried
that falsetto though!
moxy ryder I know, right? It's out of this world!
And into the darkness 😏
His voice is perfect for this
When he takes his shirt off Spencer looks so done with life XD
He nailed this cover
OlaGoesToGigs his voice was made for this song!
Some may argue he did it better..............
fuck yeah he did, they did
They nailed this cover* :D
@@tyrantmind exactly
never been a big fan, but damn! that guy has some pipes on him .... NAILED IT!!
Easily one of the best singers in this day and age.
danoz danoz he has a C7. But I don't know if that was a note, more like a scream
danoz danoz
Definitely *not* a leggiero tenor.
Always great to start a compliment with, l don’t like you, but…
Not many people can cover this song and it sound as good as the Darkness themselves. Justin Hawkins would be proud
He is. There's a video of him reacting.
@@NiVoldiza I saw that! Was months after I posted this comment but was great to see!
He was
@@adavidbujanda he is much loved!
These guys did an amazing job of it!!!

The perfect 4th harmony on the 2nd verse was a nice touch.

whaat how the hell would you be able to sing this song even FASTER than it already is?
This is such an underrated cover 😍🔥
Chills, what a cover!
A decade later and now we get Justin Hawkins reacting to PATD in his YT channel. Gotta love it. 😄💖💯

Man it's no longer there @@lovepanic2738
Friggin nailed it, even the fun attitude that goes with the song.
I need a studio version! Like yesterday!!!!😍😍
New respect for this band
So Brendons voice was made for this song. Its effortless and the guitar playing is sexy too.
If I could just listen to 3:20 to 3:50 from now until the end of time, I'd be happy with that
The biggest differentiation between this version and the Darkness live version is that these guys attempt the soulful harmonies on the recording.
That’s because all the harmonies in the studio version are Justin Hawkins overdubbing himself.
Yeah, it's really, really hard to sing five different melodies alone at the same time when playing live.
The darkness are a fuckin incredible live band, and the breakdown of this from 3:35 is as good as I've ever seen them play it, which is the best compliment I can ever give
Can’t believe how good this is ! And spot on. Used to cover this myself and this blows my bands version away.
It is so cool watching Brendon do straight up rock and roll. Always made me sad when Panic when super mainstream/poppy with their sound and this is so refreshing in the best of ways

5 yrs pass and this video has NO DISLIKES that's how perfect Beebo and this song is!!
Michael Nee just hit its first:(
You jinxed it
Well, technically it's back to zero now.
another 4 yrs pass and still no dislikes
Lmao you can’t even tell any more
They would have made one hell of a cover band
Count Hackula they were a blink-182 one
@Beth Ryan, Spencer, Travis (I think) and someone else covered blink 182 songs b4 brendon was apart of it
Tread carefully...
Such a timeless good cover
respect to that lead guitar player. killed the solos!
He ought to. He’s a hired gun. This band is mostly Brendon Urie’s solo project nowadays.
NAILED IT! I hated this song when it first came out. I later realized that it's one of the greatest rock songs ever!
you might like One Way Ticket (to hell and back) then: much heavier. Should be up there w/ the likes of Back in Black etc.
Australia VMA did a great recording for TV.
played this song, too.
Good job with a thing called love!
Love the Darkness.
Thank you👍
amazing!!!!
Nicely done. Love how you kept the energy and balls of the original.
*sigh* 🥴 still in love here

The Ranch Mechanic I know
You never saw them on Jools Holland then.
The Ranch Mechanic doubt it.
This is so much better than the Jools Holland performance! He does all the screams 😳
Try DIO
Wow, what a phenomenal voice!
His voice is warmed up and spot on
The greatest of them all 😊
Nailing it!
Awesome backings too.
Well focking done!
This cover is pure genius!
never really listened to P!ATD but I love the Darkness. They absolutely killed this song
O M G !!! His voice is #1. The falsetto!
I'm just now finding this. omg❤
Don't feel bad, I'm just now finding it in 2020 😅 Thanks coronavirus pandemic!
songs almost 20 yo , how did i miss this?

Ian was the best guitarist they've ever had, god damn.
PhantomNobu we love Ian but we can’t forget about our little baby Ryan ross
I- you- ....
lucino Ian May be good, but I think Mike Naran is the best.
Unbelievable cover. Just unbelievable.
This is awesome!
I knew of Panic, and I knew Brendan Urie could sing, but damn...this! I had no idea.
The zoom in on Spencer's face when Brendon begins taking his clothes off. AAHAHAHA.
they've left me speechless! *-*
i’m just now hearing dallon’s backups in this and DAMN
YES I LOVE THIS SONG WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS BEFORE
I liked it before I even watched the video
Amazing! Beautiful! Talented! Everything!
I am a big fan now!! Amazing, that’s one of the hardest songs to sing and he nailed it!
Wow! Quanta energia e perfezione, questa cover che è quasi meglio dell'originale! Un dieci assoluto al cantante per l'incredibile controllo della voce. Bravi!!!
I didn’t like the added harmonies in the chorus. They were distracting. Other than that, they did it well.
Great cover! These guys rock!
amazing cover by this guys!
NAILED it to the WALL! The Hawkins boys LOVE it!
I love this so much more than I should
It's over Anikan! He has the high note!!
Absolutely Perfect!
Best cover so far...

Damnit. I just fell more in love with Panic.
This is so good. Guess I like Panic at the disco now
The best cover!
I miss the Vices and Virtues era😢😢
Alex Roberts same

I'm just speechless. This is so good!
Awesome cover, Urie nails the falsetto and they did the vocal's harmonies!
Awesome cover on both the vocals and guitars😄
I’m so glad I found this 😍 he’s so amazing. And that voice wow 🤩
So glad I was able to see him a few years ago.

Fantastic
Dude... PERFECT!! Bestly done cover!!
Well this is quite impressive to say the least. Nailed it.
All of you comment about Brandon's voice, but nobody comment about the choirs. They are perfect.
I found them distracting and unnecessary, but I liked the rest.
Wow amazing Nailed it
ASTOUNDING.. RVW PRODUCTION STUDIO. Keep up the GREAT work...!!

thank you to whoever recorded this!!!
Its not wrong to assume this guys are fan of The Darkness
3:45 OMFG HIS VOICE IS AMAZING! THIS IS SO UNDER RATED AND I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT IT😭😍😍❤

I don't know anything from this band. But I knew from the first high note he gave before the song started that he was gonna nail this.
That 1 dislike is a Wal-Mart employee on break wondering where there life went wrong.
BABYBOOSE or just Ryan Ross😉
Must have been when they turned in that Walmart job application
BABYBOOSE is there something wrong with working at walmart

I've never liked a Panic! At The Disco song in my life, but this cover was solid!
DRS The live versions are waay better
The Panicking ARMY they r both amazing
Right there with ya. As I was listening I was thinking maybe I’d misjudged them. They’re tight af! Killer version!
