@Josh he didn't ask for the spotlight, he was just doing what he felt was right. For the longest time he was sitting on the bench and no one noticed. Your right he didn't ask to be chosen but something's life chooses you and he's continuing to shine a light on an issue that is near and dear to him and putting his money where his mouth is while he's at it..
@Josh there's more than one way to skin a cat. He's not into politics and someone else who is can deal with that aspect. He's the grassroots type of person. He's the type to get his hands dirty so to speak. He prefers to be on the front line getting them while their young, teaching them right from wrong and educating them. Politics is not for everyone and he knows it's not for him so he's doing what he knows best. Now it's us to the rest of us "minorities" to do our part. Educate ourselves and pass on that education to our brothers and sisters. Far too often we slam the door behind us instead of leaving it open and stretching our hands out behind us and pulling our black brothers and sisters through the door too.

How many people, not including the likes of MLK, Muhammad Al, Rosa Parks or the many others who came before him has sacrificed so much for people he doesn't even know. There has been a lot of people who came out in support but pulled back when their money was being affected by their stance. He continue to shed a little on the issue even after his money was taken away from him. Now that true character. Now we need to ask ourselves what can we do, because he can't do it alone. The burden should not rest or be place at his doorstep alone.

I don't think we should judge anyone or assume his actions are for self gain. This young man has been through alot, and no one goes against one of the oldest sports and richest people in the states, being hated by so many who know his cause but ignores it and being hated by those who are just hateful.
