To do a better cobra, like any jet (I'm pretty sure in real life) you'll need to turn off fly by wire to give you full control of each flight surface and well the thrust vectoring nozzles in this case because we're in a Raptor. It is one the left of the cockpit and it's one of the closest switches to you. For the f18( I know it's about the F22 but I thought I should just let you know how to do it on the Super hornet) just put your flap setting to either half or full and it turns off FBW as well and you can do half cobras(if that's a proper name) at best up to about 70 AoA( low fuel and lightweight) if you pull back and then let go of the stick in which it naturally points back down. After turning this off, beware as auto trim will turn off so your F22 will start naturally pitching down and your inputs became extremely sensitive. Then once your at a good speed which I'd say 200 ias is good, pull back all the way but stop before the nose goes back past about 100 degrees of pitch, then pull all the way down on the stick to return to normal flight. If you do pull it to a very high angle looking backwards, I noticed it almost loses its ability to point back forwards. If you want you can accelerate back to about 200 knots and keep doing cobras or you can turn on fly by wire and it will become easy to fly again.
@@TiJayFLY To disable flybywire, it's a switch to your left and if you hover over it, it will say warning do not turn off causes degraded performance. That's the FBW switch and all you need to do is just to click on it to toggle it on and off. Now of course beware as auto trim will turn off and controls will become much more sensitive as you're in full control. Sorry for the late reply.

I was following the instructions in the aircraft manual, which don’t mention disabling vectoring - but it’s possible the manual is simplified
I cannot find where you turn off the FBW system, I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t seem to find it :/
@@fas450 I haven’t checked the manual for this function, is there any mention of it? Everything in this video was performed with FBW on

@@TiJayFLY Also you can't disable thrust vectoring in the F22 which is why you weren't able to find that in the manual.
Msfs becoming more like ace combat 7 every week bro (not really complaining tho)
Where did you find these maneuver illustrations?
They're in the manual that comes with the airplane :)
Have they updated the f22?
This is the newer payware version
Who developed the f22
TopMachStudios - purchase link in description :)
lockheed martin, boeing and general dynamics
@@TiJayFLY thanks
More like Microsoft Fight Simulator haha
