I'm sure you know but if you don't, after installation you can take a brass hammer and tap on both sides of the yoke and spider and loosen the joints up. Just purchased an 87 Bayliner with the 270 outdrive, have learned a good bit from your videos. 👍
That's what I've been doing, buying junk boats. I have many 270 and 280 that were fresh water boats. Still cheaper than buying a new outboard.I/O volvo are bullet proof

You can just pull the transmission off and leave the outdrive on the boat to access the ujoints, correct?
