+robert rudi hartono why white people are so concerned about north American continent; the land of the native people. you better be concerned more about your shitty Europe.
The best areas of Toronto are not actually downtown. Weston, Scarborough, The East and West Mall area, Etobicoke, Rexdale, Toronto Zoo at the end of Sheppard East, Bloor West Village, The Beaches, Cabbagetown and Leslieville, Roncesvailles Village, High Park, The Annex, Liberty Village, and on and on and on. I live in Toronto so I know how to get everywhere but if anyone is in town for a few weeks they should really try to see as much as they can. Yes, it is a huge city and some streets, such as Sheppard, Wilson, Finch, Lawrence, Steeles, Yonge, Queen, Keele, and many others can be as long as almost forty miles long, but just riding around in the streetcars and buses above ground are entertaining just to see everything to get an idea of what the city is all about. So many diverse neighborhoods and cultures and nationalities and languages to see and hear. There are no factories that pollute the air with coal smoke or sulphur so that is a bonus. But the car exhaust downtwown can get a little overwhelming at times. And the transit can get very clogged with too many people at certain times of the day, but if nobody is in any hurry, it is well worth venturing all over town. I recommend it highly. Leave the vehicle at your hotel or motel and buy a weekly transit pass for around forty dollars. It is good for getting on the subway, streetcar, and bus all day long, twenty four hours a day. You purchase it on Mondays and it is good until the following Monday morning.
Your post is so informative--thanks from this future-but-soon-coming, first-time visitor to your awesome city. In an earlier comment, I mention that Toronto is more like Montreal than New York City, but parts of Toronto remind me of Philadelphia's Center City. But now to my other point of replying: I'll be arriving on a Wednesday night via Amtrak this autumn and wish to see -- in addition to some sights downtown (even if CN Tower might be undergoing renos) -- the Toronto Zoo and The Annex. I knew at the time that I booked my hotel (located in the Village) that the Toronto Zoo is quite a distance north, nowhere near the Downtown Core. Which bus line(s) do I take to reach the zoo? Can I take the subway to reach The Annex? Where can I purchase my one-week transportation pass? Is it a subway-only pass, or does it cover bus and trolly travel, too? I hope you see this reply. Thanks!
Correction: you _used_ to be able to buy a pass for $40.00 for a week; now it's something else in conjunction with PRESTO (our new RFID contactless fare card.)
Cool video I miss Toronto, haven't been there since May 2001 when I was 11 when I was on an elementary school trip. I'm 27 now. I've been to the Eaton Center before too, it looks so awesome
You would like to move/escape the Canada country to due to same side people admire to come there why you opposite with your country fell your not citizen from Canadian.
I live here in the states. I visited Toronto and Niagara Falls couple of times about 10 and 13 years ago. Loved the city. Haven't got a chance to go back. But would love to visit it again some day...
ING Direct, Hard Rock cafe, doesnt seem that long ago and now they have changed. Old streetcars where overweight people open the windows at -20C because they are too warm.
Loved Toronto.(Visited back in 2010)So clean, colourful, welcoming ppl...♥️ from Oslo,Norw.Europe.P.S.Stayed at a campus in Bramton, cheap and the kind of beds and tellys you only find in America.(Yes,I know it is in Canada😉🇨🇦)
Winter that cold, the thing I think canadians are really missing are JAPANESE TOILETS! Having a warm automated toilet seat in the morning is a true blessing! :)
the camera has Balanced Optical Steady shot, the lens actually sort of floats in the camera. Plus I used RUclips's stabilizing software, the two work very well together.
Dave Isenor Very accurate estimate of Toronto's current population you've been doing ur homework! Do u perhaps maybe live in the city? I plan on maybe one day moving there from my current home of Calgary, what parts of the city would u recommend?
very good cam work my friend thanx for showing the ed mirvish theatre !! luv the red rocket electric street cars but i never fool with the subway system get lost too easy
There was a Polar Vortex happening in Toronto late December 2013 and January 2014. Power out in East York for days December 21-25/26, 2013. Traffic lights out along Mortimer. East York Hospital kept running on back up generators.
Yo man , its danial tanvir , am 24 from Pakistan and i was in Toronto in july 2013 and i miss it like hell and i am dieing to go to Canada and start a new life away from this country....
Wouldn't be that much different to someone from overseas but there are a lot of little differences that stand out. toronto is an international city with lots of ethnic communities, very much like New York city on a smaller scale. Not as tough as an American city but very much alike in appearance.
Jason Mims The biggest difference I can think of is that, although Toronto is the 4th largest city in North America, it is also the most culturally diverse city in the world. More than half of the population is born outside the country. No other city can say that. What also sets it apart is that even though it has such a high foreign born pop. it just so happens to be one of the safest cities in North America. That's pretty impressive considering it's size and ethnic make up. Compare that to a New York, Chicago or Miami.
+az0963818 Toronto is very culturally diverse indeed, maybe among the TOP 5 in the world, but I think Dubai is even more culturally diverse, something like 80% of the population isn't from UAE.
mynameisharlan it was a Sony pj-710 great camera but i dropped it in lake Ontario last year lol. Using the equivalent Panasonic now which is better in many ways. They have their own optical stabilized which in many ways is better but also not as good as the sony. Depends what you are shooting.
i have been in toronto for most of my life and i never get tired of seeing videos like this
Did you move in yet?
tu-160 How do you like it? I just started attending uni in downtown this September, so I was scared too (still kinda am).
yes i like it it's awesome

Winter- the best eight months of the year in Canada.
Are you kidding? Uurrgh hate winter.

Dave Isenor Dude, great videos! Toronto is amazing.
Canada is an amazing country with beautiful scenery and cities . Nevertheless, all of these were possible thanks to its citizens . God bless you !
Is some sort of steady cam being used, or is this cameraman the steadiest human on the plant? Is it on a bike or something? Because ... wow.
thank you
yes it's balanced Optical steadyshot that some Sony handycams have.
combine with the some stabilizing software
+Vince Lok ,,Steadiest human on plant,, .. I'm not a grammar nazi but that was funny..
Yea I thought as much but it seems he placed the camera 🎥 on a trolley or a moving stuff. And with a very good camera
yo fuy hace unos meses y es de los paises que mas me han gustado y ver tu video me hizo recordar cuando estuve ahi

ThatBoy Marcus: assuming that you are in Canada since Trump is the president now. How do you like Canada ? Lol!
This is really awesome... Some thing like my wish..... I like this video a lot.. :)
I live in NYC and planning to move there, the video makes it seem like Toronto more dead than NYC but how is it?
+vivalacarlo it was 0 degrees Fahrenheit and a few days after new years so it was pretty dead. The normal bustle of downtown is very much like NYC
Where you want to move to is DownTown bruh thats where its the same exact thing as New york city XD
S M change of scenery duh.
that's the tine when winter storm occurs .. when the trees shine like crystal in the sunlight with frozen ice.
Is it this much cold?.it's quite boredsom anyway vedio is nice
Winter that cold, the thing I think canadians are really missing are JAPANESE TOILETS! Having a warm automated toilet seat in the morning is a true blessing! :)
As a Canadian who just got back from Japan, I couldn't agree more!
***** i love toronto so much i would go back again
Cueball Doe You're right!
wonderful. please tell me how you could manage the camera so firm, steady? can you show it?
the camera has Balanced Optical Steady shot, the lens actually sort of floats in the camera. Plus I used RUclips's stabilizing software, the two work very well together.
Just Google "Sony Balanced Optical Steady shot". Im sure you can find a demonstration.
thanks
I wanna come to Toronto
Go for it!
Awesome stuff! I am amazed you got these results without those steadycam thingies.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Great video!Greetings from Greece, can you tell me the population of Toronto city?

and about 6 million in the metro
Golden horseshoe region is about 9 million
which includes Niagara Falls and other near by cities
Dave Isenor
Very accurate estimate of Toronto's current population you've been doing ur homework! Do u perhaps maybe live in the city? I plan on maybe one day moving there from my current home of Calgary, what parts of the city would u recommend?

There was a Polar Vortex happening in Toronto late December 2013 and January 2014. Power out in East York for days December 21-25/26, 2013. Traffic lights out along Mortimer. East York Hospital kept running on back up generators.
