Good video, but the music belongs in an elevator. I've lived here all of my 48 years, and ever since the city's third big building boom began with the completion of 1 King West, its remained unabated and never stops. Currently there are over 350 skyscrapers under construction, approved, or awaiting approval, that's on top of the hundreds already built. Our skyline changes so fast each year, that it never looks the same from year to year, and now with 10 super tall proposals (anything over 300 metres is a supertall, over 600 metres is a megatall, be we're nowhere near that mark yet, not counting the CN Tower, which isn't a building, but a telecommunications tower) above to receive approval, our skyline with drastically be altered yet again. It's growing so fast, that every once in a while, as I walk through the downtown and new south core, for a few moments, it literally feels a though I'm not in Toronto anymore, but another city entirely, THATS how fast it's changing. If you drive down Lakeshore Blvd ever since they removed the York St circular off ramp, and with the construction of all those new huge condos? It's like I'm driving in NYC, with huge towers walking me in, and sun exposing an area that's been covered for al it's 70 years, it's just weird to feel like a stranger in the city you've lived your entire life in, and I know this city like the back of my hand, at least, I use to. For the last 10 years I've been in and out of hospital having over a dozen surgeries and fighting off cancer (I won!), so I haven't had the chance to do much walking or cycling as I use to, but now that I'm back and healthy again, it's like Toronto has been transformed into a mini-Manhattan, it's just bizarre! (Anyone who's been to Manhattan and to Toronto recently, you'll know what I mean). I'm definitely NOT comparing the two cities, nothing could ever beat Manhattan, but if you're keeping count, Toronto has the most skyscrapers in all of the Americas, second only to NYC, which has almost double the amount we do, but in our defence, we're a much younger city, so NYC has had over a century head start, but we're getting there! Lol! I'm driving there for a family wedding next weekend, so I'll see how fast they're growing too (yep, driving, couldn't get a flight on such short notice, well, not one I was willing to pay for....I'm NOT paying over $1000 for a one hour flight, besides, it's a beautiful drive, until you hit the city traffic on either end)
I lived in Canada for 7 years and moved back home a month ago. I already miss Canada and Oshawa my small town. Everything is better there. However, the only thing I hate about this country (which is unexpected to Canadians) is that women go out half naked in the summer time. That is very disturbing to me, as a religious married man. Not only Canada has this problem, but definitely it's not here in the Middle East.
+Tim Fujio Wow, do you dislike Canada or just Some of the videos you saw, as if you diss it overall then that's just rude. Personally this video.. it isn't crappy (not feeling the music incl however, ma se vabbe'). Canada is purported as being quite beautiful I've been told ever since 2010 when family friends lived there (Vancouver) due to work - they relocated him and got him a house, and my best guy (platonic) friend Just Today told me so also as he - G.Aguirre has many friends from there! Don't have to be so prejudiced about it... pretty certain that Toronto and Vancouver are the most popular and $ to be and so.. if they were shit I just highly disbelieve this would be so!
I hated Toronto for the 7 years lived there. People are boring in Toronto. The air is very polluted. Most of the older buildings are not well cared for.
Wow... that sounds harsh af why did you personally speaking find them to be ""boring"" ? Lol well in most cities it will be polluted due to the cars and other things let off into the atmosphere! Maybe the same can be said of the buildings also...
i grew up in this city and this video sucks the big one .Toronto is way better than this video.check out other videos before making judgement on what life is like in this city
+rogue warr sorry for deciding to take a walk in downtown toronto and uploading it lol. Not my only Toronto video. I don't like it much either but somehow it's getting views. Views =$$ I hope u don't mind if I keep it here.
Don't mind at all cause i have been living in the Great State of Florida ever since i left TORONTO in 1989.....lot of people here ,here about T O and just to think this is the view they get by watching the video .Just think how you could make more money with a better video ....keep filming .
I have many others though . Harbour front in the summer and Toronto island etc. For some reason these downtown videos get the most attention. But this one was edited poorly the color was bad. Not the best time of year either . People that view these videos usually view a lot so they see other parts of Toronto.
That was good. Love the old buildings and the bricks and railings. You got some good shots. No sunlight on some of those streets.
I love Toronto so much
and I miss Toronto Tower
C.N Tower
We are based in Toronto and we are always welcomes to all. Welcome world
We are visiting next month, my question is does it normally snow in march are what are the normal highs and lows temps
